DeleteI myself, am an English teacher here in NYC. I read passed the grammatical errors. I understood the gist of her message. I do not want to be a grammar Nazi during this festive season. Instead, I want to extend my sincere appreciation to a candidate who decided to tell the truth because it was and still is the right thing to do. Kudos Ms. El Salvador.I hope the rest of the representatives to the Miss Universe pageantry will come forward too to squash the rumor circulating in the grapevine that the result was rigged. PEACE!

ReplyDeleteDisappointing to know that their reactions are scripted. It just lessens the integrity of the show--not that it had much to begin with. It seems like 3rd world countries are the ones most invested on beauty pageants. This type of competition are really not that relevant in more prosperous countries. The only reason why this year's event even made the news was because of the controversy, which Perez Hilton even considered to be a publicity stunt.
