MANILA, Philippines – The Philippines' Angelia Ong was crowned Miss Earth 2015 at the pageant's grand coronation night on December 5 at the Marx Halle in Vienna, Austria.
Miss Earth 2014, the Philippines' own Jamie Herrell, passed the crown on to Angelia that night, after the swimsuit competition, long gown competition, and question and answer portion. Here are the runners-up:

ReplyDeleteAyon sa mga reliable sources from Vienna (based sa mga post sa pageant forums) hindi daw sumunod si Panama sa No make up challenge ng ME and diva divahan daw. In short naging pasaway daw kaya ayun ligwak. Yung No make up challenge at saka personality during the competition ang basehan pag papasok ka sa Top 16. Remember noong 2002. Ayaw na ata maulit ng ME yun. Parang may mga secret informant ang Carousel (Org ng ME) about sa ugali ng mga girls. About naman sa mga medals, wala siyang bearing. Pa consuelo sa mga delegates kumbaga.

ReplyDeleteShe nailed the Q&A portion. Ayaw mo man na ipanalo siya pero kabog niya yung final leg ng competition. No contest. Medyo pageant patty ang sagot pero nakuha sa pagiging concise at puno ng conviction kaya nag stand out.
ReplyDeleteKung ako sa mga Latina candidates na nasa top 8 masasampal ko yung translator nila, hahaha. Mas kabado pa yung translator kesa sa kandidato mismo, yan tuloy hindi naitawid yung mga sagot nila ng maayos.
Yung Australia may chance sana makuha yung crown kaso I feel na natalo siya dahil dun sa Pilipina na judge na hindi marunong mag-phrase ng question, nakakahiya. Nag-iisang Filipino judge pa naman, apparently.
IMHO, di ako super naexcite sa pagkapanalo niya although I'm really happy for her and for our country pagdating sa larangan ng pageantry. Pero kasi Ms. Earth is owned by a Filipino, right? Parang USA owned Ms. Universe lang na laging pasok sa Top 5. Alam niyo yun?! Pero really, I'm happy for her.
