Being a senator requires a thorough knowledge of the law, and this is what really counts. Looking at Francis Tolentino’s credentials, I can’t help but be impressed. How come very few people know this? I guess he’s not the type to go around flaunting his achievements. This is exactly the reason why I decided to start a new segment called: Fashion PULIS' Senatorial Bets.

Wow. Just wow.
ReplyDeleteThank you FP for posting. Ill campaign for him.
Magaling sya, simple at down to earth, FP. Naging speaker namin dati. Walang ka-ere ere sa katawan, madaling lapitan at very articulate. I'll vote for him.
DeleteI will
DeleteVote for
Him. I saw his dedication kahit dati pa nasira lang siya jun nalaman na tatakbo siya. Pero he is masipag, effective and humble at patient tlaga!!!!
Grabe pala yung educational background nya,. Pero parang di halata?
ReplyDeleteKilala lang kasi siya as MMDA chairman, and he gets bad rep for that. Pero havey ang qualifications niya.
DeleteYou mean he looks humble right?
Baka may mas magawa siya bilang Congressman or Sentaor.
DeleteWhy not?... Pwede.
But i am really considering him. Thanks FP for this.
ReplyDeleteTnx fp for informing us, sna khit di u bet paki post ung mga achivements.. Actually bet ko xa kc never xa ng stop gumawa ng paraan para maayos ang edsa, khit binabatikos xa dati tuloy parin kc sabi nya trial nga pag ndi ok di na nya itutuloy, atlist my ginawa xa and he did try his best..
ReplyDeleteOk good educational background no question about that, but what are his accomplishments and contributions (if any) as an MMDA chairman before?
ReplyDeleteWe need people like him to lead our country.
ReplyDeleteImpressive.
ReplyDeleteStill, no...
But if by May ok pa rin sya, then he will complete my list
ReplyDeleteYes, FP. Like ko ang bagong segment. Will wait for more.
ReplyDeletethis a brilliant idea of FP...dapat ganito ang mga tumatakbo sa senda...MALAKASAN...hindi kabo**han...di ung basta sikat lang...mas masaya ang senado pag ganito ang nakaupo don...
ReplyDelete-xoxo-
Wow,I'll vote for him. Thanks for sharing this FP.
ReplyDeleteI guess it just proves that you don't have to be smart just to have common sense.
ReplyDeleteagree!
DeleteMy brother was his former employee, nasa mataas na posisyon. (Di lang kinaya politics sa work kaya nag-resign)The chairman know him personally. Isa lang masasabi namin, mabuting tao sya at kahanga-hanga talaga. Karapat-dapat iboto.
ReplyDeleteThanks for this FP! Very informative! Looking forward to your posts on your other bets. :)
ReplyDeletewow. thanks for the info FP and Anon 1:59 ! will add him on my list. :)
ReplyDeleteBig check!
ReplyDeleteThank you FP! At leats through your blog lalong ma-inform yung mga voters kung sino ang karapat dapat.
ReplyDeletePumasa pala siya sa NY State Bar Exams. I heard ang hirap daw ipasa yan.
ReplyDeleteWow heavy!!!!!!!
DeleteDespite the incident that happened, he is still on my list.
ReplyDeleteNO.
ReplyDeleteYes! He cares for his people and even go out of his way to help his people. Ganyan ang tamang leader!
ReplyDeletevery impressive background. but sometimes, it's not all about education
ReplyDeleteActually,Mr.Tolentino is in my list for senatorial candidates. Thanks fp!
ReplyDeletemukha naman okay talaga si tolentino. definitely mas may experience and education kaysa sa ibang candidates. he tried his best in controlling the traffic pero talagang yung ibang mga pinoy walang disiplina (tumatawid at bumababa kahit san, pumaparada kahit san) at yung mga staff niya corrupt.
ReplyDeleteWow. Di ko knows ito. Tolentino should hire a better pr team.and sana nagrun sya independently.sana maging effective sya sa senate.will consider him as one of my senators.thanks for the info fp
ReplyDeletethanks fp for sharing
ReplyDeleteand niinggit ako ha sana may money and braina ti study in those schools
He is the one heading MMDA, right?
ReplyDeleteOo nga, sya ba ung may hawak sa MRT?
DeleteThanks but no thanks.
ReplyDeleteMinsan pag sobra talino hindi din maganda...look what gma did
ReplyDeletei like him inspite of the issue regarding din sa mga dancers... alam k nag tratrabaho sya..
Deleteimpressive credentials. any public service experience? what would be his advocacy in the senate? his stand on current issues?
ReplyDeleteI believe he was mayor of tagaytay city. Doon sya nasilip ni pnoy.
DeleteAmazing!
ReplyDeleteSo you have any proof?
DeleteSayang. Nasira yun name and credibilty nya dahil sa twerky like twerky like
DeleteImpressive credentials.......but is he uncorruptable?
ReplyDeleteNice credentials but on service, not so much
ReplyDeleteOvernite solution of edsa cannot be done in 4 yrs of tolentino's. Disiplina ng mga Pinoy ang kalaban.
DeleteWag pong magbulagbulagan. Mrt lrt and edsa is worse today compared nong di pa siya nakaupo
DeleteNice one.
ReplyDeleteWaley siya sakin puro kasi dakdak lang!
ReplyDeleteEh ikaw puro ka comment lang
DeleteGaling ng qualifications! I'll go for him!
ReplyDeleteGreat! I want to see the rest of the candidates post their credentials.
ReplyDeletei might consider him. kesa naman mga walang alam ang iboboto ko. FP can you post De Lima's too?
ReplyDeleteTo be in the government, the intention why you are running in public office is more important than the academic qualifications. Classic example is Enrile who without question is way more qualified, academically speaking, but happens to be one of the most corrupt senators we have today. His intelligence could have been of good use to elevate the lives of the poor because in the first place he knew how it feels to be poor, but because most politicians like him are driven by ambition to attain power and wealth, self-interest always becomes the top priority.
ReplyDeletebeing in public service requires many factors to be effective. he may have all these educ background but given the task at mmda he failed miserably. sana talaga pinagbuti nya while he was there para naman ma enganyo ang tao botohin sya. on the other hand, hindi din ok bumoto ng walang credentials na candidate kahit pa super masipag.
ReplyDeleteKahit sino ilagay sa MMDA traffic congestion in Metro Manila cannot be resolved. First of all ang daming sasakyan, maliliit ang kalsada, walang discipline mga drivers at passengers, mga sidewalk vendors and homeless people occupy the sidewalks. Dito sa states, bawat household minimum of 2 cars, others have 3, 4 or more.
DeleteApart from his educational attainments and other experiences, I hope his achievements as a public servant would also be written.. I hope you could do this with the other candidates you would post...Honestly, I believe that though having a great educational background is important, it is not enough but thank you for this eye opener post anyway..
ReplyDeletehe is the former mayor of tagaytay city and we all love him!
ReplyDeletebet! he is our former mayor in tagaytay city!
ReplyDeleteNo, thanks.
ReplyDeleteAt least inacknowledge nya yung mistake nya and asked for forgiveness.
DeleteOf course he'd ask for forgiveness. Don't be so naive.
DeleteAnonymousDecember 7, 2015 at 8:40 AM
DeleteHe acknowledged because he had no other choice! E antagal na nilang ginagawa yan ng kapatid nya, no!
Nice resume. But what hashe done with MMDA?
ReplyDeleteHe resigned already.
DeleteIn fairview, ganda ng credentials nya.
ReplyDeleteSobrang laki ng issues ng Metro Manila and I think he's one person who really tried and experimented out of the box.
I think he deserves a second look and maybe as senator mas malaki influence nya and based on his experience, he can be a more effective legislator.
Tama ka dyan boto ko talaga siya
Deleteand since DUTERTE and FP endorse this candidate... OK
ReplyDeletei will vote for Mr. Tolentino....
