Thanks for posting this.. I will never bring my dog to that place anymore! I treat my dogs like my babies and this is unacceptable. I heard they only gave free medicine as compensation. I will sue them if it was my dog.

Kasi pinonytail ng maid ung ear ng aso using a rubber band ng matagal. Nung ngpgroom tinanggal na ung rubber band at sinabihan sila n wag n lalagyan. Pero dahil matagal ng nakatali natuyo n ung tip ng ear at nalaglag after 1 week.. then pilit nilang isinisisi sa groomer... So these photos were taken a week after grooming
that's why I make sure that whenever my doggies go out for their grooming, I'm always present. Kahit abutin pa yan ng ilang oras, even though the groomers in their vet clinic really does a good job, hindi ako kompyansa sa mga possible na mangyayari. I really love my dogs, poor shi tzu... some city pound do cut the upper part of the ear as a sign na na spay/neuter na cla but that one looks bad, naputol pati cartilage... :(

Kaya nga tuwing dadalhin ko ang aso ko sa groomer, may kasamang dasal. Na sana ligtas siya sa anumang kapahamakan. Ang dami na kasing nababalita na mga hayop na nadidisgrasya sa kamay ng mga groomer. Aba, hindi lang basta pet 'yun, pamilya na ang turing natin sa kanila. Nakakaawa naman 'yung dog.....nakakapag-ngitngit naman 'yung iresponsableng gumawa nito.
I read on the fb page of the owner, sa bahay na nila nalaman na nagupit yung tenga ng dog, binalik nila ngayon, partly cut lang yung tenga tapos they asked kung pwede tahiin, ginupit nalang daw ng tuluyan tapos they offered free meds. Parang sinisi pa yung owner kasi pinonytail daw yung dog. Grabe. Kung ako to magdedemanda ako.

Kawawa naman yung aso ang laki ng binabayad ng owner sa grooming tapos hindi nila alagaan yung aso... sana sinabi na lang nilang di nila kayang igroom para sa ibang shop na lang nagpunta....

Poor dog kasi napabayaan ng dog owner. Madalas tinatalian yung mga aso sa fur near the ears kasi mahaba na yung buhok pero they do not notice na nasasama na yung part ng ear and dahil sa higpit ng pagkakatali, it causes loss of blood supply sa part na yun ng ear kaya nagddry-up and causing it to tear up ng ganun kadali. Notice sa photos na nagcirculate na hindi bloody yung tenga? Pag abrupt cutting ng tissue yun madugo yun sobra and pwedeng navideohan pa nila na umiiyak yug aso sa sakit. It is obvious na old wound na siya. I hope this makes sense. I know this will upset any dog owner kaso pag mag alaga ka ng aso dapat alagaan mo siya parang tao din. Aminin natin most dog owners take their pets for granted and dinadala na lang sa vet clinics pag malala na and definitely sisisihin ang clinic if mamatay or ayun "matanggal" yung part ng tenga.
I agree. Lalo na iniiwan ang mga dogs basta basta pag magpapagroom. Hindi lang naman yan ang first case ng nadisgrasya na pet sa groomer eh. Meron pa ngang namatay diba sa ibang groomer nga lang. Kahit na saan ka magpapagroom, kahit trusted mo pa yung lugar accidents can still happen. At least pag nandun ka nakabantay, mas ingat yung groomer dun sa dog mo, plus makikita mo agad pag may accident na nangyayari. Not victim blaming here, pero do your part as a responsible pet owner rin.

It is not right to judge the clinic because of this incident. They will not stay in the pet industry for years if they are heartless & incompetent. Think before you react.

Ang alam ko ang tenga ay balat at cartilage. Hindi madaling magupit ang cartilage. And if ever magupit, bonggang madugo ito at hindi agad maampat. Even just a small snip will bleed a lot. Based sa photos, walang dugo. I don't think it happened during or after grooming. -nurse here
Pag nagupit ang tenga straight across, through and through, meaning skin-cartilage-skin, naghihiwahiwalay ang mga layers na ito. To be able to stop the bleeding, either cautery or stitchng to put together the layers again. I don't think the groomer alone will be able to do that. Based sa photos, the detached ear portion (the tip) looks dried and dark already, otherwise it would look pink if kakaputol lang. The ear itself is fine with just traces of redness around the edges, an attempt of the tissues to heal itself, which it already has. If you can experience cutting a live tissue, iba ang "feel", even with surgical scissors. The grooming will readily feel na hindi na buhok ang nagugupit nyaa and will stop immediately, thus preventing completely cutting it. Plus the haircut of the dog shows that hairs on his ears are still long. Mejo mahirap mapadpad yata ang gunting sa part na yon esp if trim lang naman ang ginawa.
