Pero noong Panahon na hirap ako magkaroon ng permanenteng trabaho kahit fresh graduate ako (dahil gusto ng lahat ng kumpanya galing sa mga prominent schools) nag apply ako abroad, nagtrabaho sa middle east for 10 years at kitang kita ko ang kaibahan ng middle east sa Pilipinas. Masakit panoorin sa news ang mga masamang balita tungkol sa Pilipinas Lalo na, don ako lumaki at higit sa lahat nandon ang mga Mahal kp sa buhay.. At ang Mas masakit sa lahat, pag -ginawang pulutang topic ang lahi natin ng ibang nationalities. Sana may pag-asa pa.. Sana.
I feel you Direk Joey! I realized this 7 years back & decided to leave the country & bring my family with me. I live in one of the most expensive cities in the world but it's a price I am willing to pay. Our lives may not be as comfortable as it was in the Philippines but we can do with the minor sacrifices. Friends who are adamant about leaving the Philippines tell me that they don't wan't the 2nd class citizen treatment one gets while living abroad. I always tell them that I would rather be a 2nd class citizen in a country where the government protects my basic rights than be a citizen in the Philippines where the gov't. DOES NOT even protect you & f***s you over & over again.
In this country we are always victims. Victimized by criminals, by some of the police, by some of the judges, by some of the government workers and by politicians.

More than a decade ago, di pa uso ang riding in tandem, nawitness ko kung pano i-snatch nang mamang naka-motor yung bag ng isang ale at nadrag pa yung ale dahil di niya binitawan agad ang bag. Gumawa ng mga simple at mabuting bagay para pamarisan ng iba like wag magtapon sa mga pampublikong lugar, sumunod sa mga traffic rules. Tumawid lamang sa mga pedestrian lanes, wag magjay walk, wag magdrunk driving, wag gumamit ng phone habang nagddrive. Magvolunteer sa mga charity every month etc etc. Kung bawat isa satin matutunan nyan, pakonti konti makikita natin ang pagbabago. :)
Disiplina sa mga namumuno at disiplina sa mga mamamayan! Yan ang kulang sa atin! Dapat magpakita ng magandang ehemplo ang mga namumuno, maging matigas at patas sa pagpapatupad ng batas para sumunod ang mamamayan, sa ayaw at sa gusto!

Direk Joey, same thoughts here. I'm residing in Dubai and yearly I go back for vacation at least for 15 to 18 days. Sa paglabas pa lang sa NAIA, umiikot ng mata ko sa mga possible scenarios. Kailangan relos lang ang suot ko especially kung luluwas ng Manila. You should be sporting a crossbody bag but not branded as well as your sunglass. High tech na kasi ang mga kawatan ngayon. Once you change your foriegn currency sa mga exchange centers ensure to be precautious sa mga nakapaligid sayo as well as sa mga sumusunod syo. I'm being paranoid sa sarili kong bayan. And to the extreme sa mga kapit bahay mong hobby ng mag inom at kapag lasing na ay nag hahanap ng away. Kapag pinuntahan ng mga authorities daig pang mga best actors at aacting na tulog at ang mga kunsintidor na mga magulang ang sasabihin, "eh pasensya na po at nakainom". Hayyyy
Seriously? Eh ayaw nga nya sa mga immigrants eh especially sa mga Mexicans. According to D. Trump eh instead na mga local Americans ang nag tatrabaho eh napupunta sa mga immigrants.

Pero noong Panahon na hirap ako magkaroon ng permanenteng trabaho kahit fresh graduate ako (dahil gusto ng lahat ng kumpanya galing sa mga prominent schools) nag apply ako abroad, nagtrabaho sa middle east for 10 years at kitang kita ko ang kaibahan ng middle east sa Pilipinas. Masakit panoorin sa news ang mga masamang balita tungkol sa Pilipinas Lalo na, don ako lumaki at higit sa lahat nandon ang mga Mahal kp sa buhay.. At ang Mas masakit sa lahat, pag -ginawang pulutang topic ang lahi natin ng ibang nationalities. Sana may pag-asa pa.. Sana.

ReplyDeleteI feel you Direk Joey! I realized this 7 years back & decided to leave the country & bring my family with me. I live in one of the most expensive cities in the world but it's a price I am willing to pay. Our lives may not be as comfortable as it was in the Philippines but we can do with the minor sacrifices.
ReplyDeleteFriends who are adamant about leaving the Philippines tell me that they don't wan't the 2nd class citizen treatment one gets while living abroad. I always tell them that I would rather be a 2nd class citizen in a country where the government protects my basic rights than be a citizen in the Philippines where the gov't. DOES NOT even protect you & f***s you over & over again.
In this country we are always victims. Victimized by criminals, by some of the police, by some of the judges, by some of the government workers and by politicians.
DeleteAko nagka-phobia sa mga nakasakay sa motor. More than a decade ago, di pa uso ang riding in tandem, nawitness ko kung pano i-snatch nang mamang naka-motor yung bag ng isang ale at nadrag pa yung ale dahil di niya binitawan agad ang bag. It happened around 7am. After nung incident na yun, everytime may nakikita akong naka-motor lumalayo na ako.

ReplyDeleteKaya dapat magkaisa tayo! Wag yung puro reklamo at kuda lang. Educate those people around you na nagpapaloko sa mga politikong trapo! Iresearch yung background ng mga tatakbo, wag lang dahil popular ito. Tsaka maging mabuting ehemplo sa kapwa. Gumawa ng mga simple at mabuting bagay para pamarisan ng iba like wag magtapon sa mga pampublikong lugar, sumunod sa mga traffic rules. Tumawid lamang sa mga pedestrian lanes, wag magjay walk, wag magdrunk driving, wag gumamit ng phone habang nagddrive. Magvolunteer sa mga charity every month etc etc. Kung bawat isa satin matutunan nyan, pakonti konti makikita natin ang pagbabago. :)
ReplyDeleteDisiplina sa mga namumuno at disiplina sa mga mamamayan! Yan ang kulang sa atin! Dapat magpakita ng magandang ehemplo ang mga namumuno, maging matigas at patas sa pagpapatupad ng batas para sumunod ang mamamayan, sa ayaw at sa gusto!

ReplyDeleteDirek Joey, same thoughts here. I'm residing in Dubai and yearly I go back for vacation at least for 15 to 18 days. Sa paglabas pa lang sa NAIA, umiikot ng mata ko sa mga possible scenarios. Kailangan relos lang ang suot ko especially kung luluwas ng Manila. You should be sporting a crossbody bag but not branded as well as your sunglass. High tech na kasi ang mga kawatan ngayon. Once you change your foriegn currency sa mga exchange centers ensure to be precautious sa mga nakapaligid sayo as well as sa mga sumusunod syo. I'm being paranoid sa sarili kong bayan. And to the extreme sa mga kapit bahay mong hobby ng mag inom at kapag lasing na ay nag hahanap ng away. Kapag pinuntahan ng mga authorities daig pang mga best actors at aacting na tulog at ang mga kunsintidor na mga magulang ang sasabihin, "eh pasensya na po at nakainom". Hayyyy
