WOAH!!! I'm breathless from Lea's performance. Nung sinara ko yung eyes ko kanina, OMG! It brought so many childhood memories lalo na yung itsura ni Princess Jasmine.
Lea is a legend.
She maybe at times nega but all true artists are. That's because it is their passion and not just their livelihood. If you want good music and theater to survive in th Philippines, we need more people like Lea and Rachel Ann Go.
Sya lng yan may crsytal clear voice
What are they, a loveteam? lol! Hey kiddo, maybe you weren't born yet when Lea did that song. FYI It broke records and they even performed it live on a real carpet flying across the stage. Go to YouTube and you will see! Girls not just in the Philippines but all over the world wanted to be Jasmin. That says a lot about the singer behind her singing voice.
Kids nowadays do not know how to pay respect. If you can do even an inch of what Lea did for our country and equality among Broadway performers, you can criticize her that way.
Aba naman komo magaling magsalita ng ingles at Iba ang opinion ni Tita Leah Sa love team na paborito ng masa ngayon stuck up Na sya . Hinde ba pwedeng mas may taste Lang (-;
Sya lng yan may crsytal clear voice
@2:24. Maniniwala na Sana Ako sayo Kung nag comment ka in straight English para makita dito Kung may K kang mag judge Sa pagka-TH Nya. But then again for most Filipinos it is easier to express themselves in English when it is in written form as opposed to speaking it so hinde rin yun enough para malaman namin ang galing mo sa pag-I-ingles.
Sorry I'm not a fan of Lea, but I've seen a vid how she got the role in Les Miserables, 1:14, she was eloquent with the way she talked to the judges...And not to mention, she's got that British accent... When she entered the Philippine showbiz when she was asked to change her accent to a more Western type..
Grabe, some people may hate her with her views and opinions on her social media account, pero you can't deny she is world class! She still puts the Philippines on the map wowing the international crowd with her talent.
She's just one of those celebrities who likes to voice out their OPINIONS in social media. Emphasis on the word OPINION.
A dismissable piece of children's entertainment. Yet she acts like her achievements are worthy of a Pulitzer or Nobel prize. Get off your high horse! Your latest Broadway role isn't even leading lady material. And it took you this long to get back on that stage. That only means you are not that big of a deal as far as theater is concerned. Yet you think of yourself as Broadway royalty? Pwede ba, Leah, take your meds para mabawasan ang delusions of grandeur mo.
Aba Anon 1:22 considering her age and still making it in Broadway, aba hiyang-hiya naman ako sayo.
Anon 1:22. Ikaw ata maraminf nalaklak na gamot eh. I do not understand why people like you exist. Mga utak talangka talaga. I'm sure you're not even half of how accomplished she is. Tsss. U make me sick
After 23 years. 23 years. 23 years.
2:26 ha???? First Asian to win a Tony She performed in the Academy Awards and the song she performed won Best Song that year First Asian to play a French lead role in Les Miserables Regarded as one of Disney Princesses High people in society used to watch her performances, even the late Princess Diana did. Not a lot of people can claim those. So, SHE IS SUCCESSFUL GLOBALLY. LOL
Not a big deal?? Compare it with your own accomplishments?!!
Her talent is impecable! Wag kwestyonin?!! Asa history na yan at google forever
2:26 Many of these foreign hosts don't know or find it difficult to say her last name. Lea remarked about it in one interview. That interview where she sang Empty Chairs, Empty Tables.
5:43. Travolta's mispronunciation of Idina's name made headlines. This one didn't, along with multiple instances where Tita Leah's name was mispronounced. Yeah, she's not a big deal.
I'll always be a die-hard Lea Salonga fan! I just wish people see beyond social media and appreciate the way fans do in the past, when we are not completely judged by our tweets, and we understand that there is so much more to a person than what they allow us to see on FB and IG.
Awww.. Memories came rushing in upon hearing this song.. I've always love the blending of their voices Lalo na sa A Whole New World at We Could Be In Love.. Brad Kane has gotten old na talaga but he's still kinda cute.. He was a real hottie back then though, plus I really like his voice, sounds really "boy next doorish" (Is that even a word? lol)
Goosebumpssss for Ms Lea Salonga, OMG ang galing!!! As for Brad, something was off on his performance, di ko feel. He was totally upstaged by Lea, galing eh!!! Moments like this, nakaka.proud to be a Filipino.
World class talaga si Tita Lea like Lani and Charice

DeleteOne of my fav. Disney songs!! Bravo leah and Brad.
DeleteI know that Tita Lea cut her hair because of her role in Allegiance...but it doesn't suit her. She looks like a Korean ajumma!
ReplyDeleteBut great voices!
DeleteSHE IS AN AJHUMA!
DeleteBecause her role in Allegiance is that of a Japanese.
DeleteBecause she is an ajumma! Hahaha
DeleteNow that's what you call talent!
ReplyDeleteLol. Hindi niya namaintain yung boses niya. Brad Kane still sounds the same though.
ReplyDeleteAno?? Baka bingi ka! O loka-loka..
DeleteKahiya naman sa boses mo teh!!
DeleteCan you sing like Lea? I bet not.
DeleteToo much vibrato, not as "smooth" as the original.
DeleteHiyang-hiya si mader lea sa yo teh! Hahahaha
DeleteBitter! Mamatay ka sa inggit! Bwahaha!

Childhood memories
ReplyDeleteShe maybe at times nega but all true artists are. That's because it is their passion and not just their livelihood. If you want good music and theater to survive in th Philippines, we need more people like Lea and Rachel Ann Go.
DeleteDITO LANG SIYA SA PINAS NEGA. NOT ABROAD. BECAUSE HER BEHAVIOR IS VERY MUCH WESTERN-LIKE.

ReplyDeleteAng galing lng talaga ni ms lea.. yey
ReplyDeleteNo chemistry. She's really stuck-up.

Wala namang mali with the way she speaks, she's actually very eloquent.
