Other than network contracts that guarantee their bread and butter, celebrities are sometimes allowed to appear in projects outside of their mother studios to earn extra. As long as the terms of their performance do not violate their contracts and their schedules are open, then the said talent could earn some extra amount. Besides, if properly handled, the show is a win-win endeavor for both the producer and the talent.
Producing a show with a known talent can be a nightmare for new producers who think they can easily hire anyone they want. When a new producer (NP) was planning a provincial show, the name of Famous Heartthrob (FH) came to mind. FH can sing and dance, and literally could bring fans wherever he goes. His appeal seems to be unexplainable, as his female fans really go crazy over him. His numerous endorsements are from top companies, which also make him a favorite of big corporations. Naturally, a provincial show starring FH would definitely be awesome.
NP started making initial calls to the handlers of FH. When he was quoted the seven-digit price, NP was floored. Never did NP imagine that one talent could be worth that much. Of course, the talent fee is just the tip of the iceberg. The presence of FH could become a logistical and security nightmare. Thus, extra security should be hire. Then, he has his entourage, too. Everyone has to be fed and given accommodations. Based on calculations, NP will have to shell quite a substantial amount just to have FH, and still there was no guarantee that his return on his investment would be enough for him to venture into producing again. With a heavy heart, NP dropped the idea and started looking for the next option.
The choices comprised several names, but only a few have a similar charm as NP. The choice would have to be as good-looking and appealing as FH. Women fans will have to scream and become participative with the choice. Finally, NP knocked at the doors of a management team of Darling Celebrity (DC), who more or less appeals to the same audience as FH. Finally, after negotiations, NP was able to breathe. The management of DC quoted a reasonable price.
Therefore, NP learned his lesson in producing. Although dreaming something huge is possible, reality could sometimes make people settle for another option, which might turn out to be better.

DeleteI read about FH's TF in a newspaper too. 7 digits per E pa nga daw e. Yung kay DC, I heard na reasonable kasi yung friend ko, dapat kukunin siya for a private event this christmas. nagkasundo sa price, sablay lang ang sched dahil naka set na sa province si DC nun.

The only talent viable or at par to the BI against J is A of k show but is humble enough to re-negotiate any contracts.
Besides, A has alot of provincial shows at the moment compared to D.

Deletehindi po yan si J... J is doing a series of provincial concert in small venues. nkapanood na ako ng concert nila at malabong mabawi ung 7 digits sa ganung venue. hindi sila magkakaroon ng ganung karaming concerts kung ganun kataas ang TF... humble ang team nila..

I remember years ago nung kakatapos lung nung pa contest sa A na nag runner up si S. Kinuha sya ng pinag ttrabahuan ko for a show. TF nya was 300k nakakaloka.. So I guess if this is D mga ganun tlga cguru TF nya 7 digits..

According to my aunt who's an exec of a top ad company, D talaga has 7Digit TF as of last year pa because he can truly deliver. I guess I'll stand for J as FH and A as DC. Love you FP!!!

ReplyDeletebottom line: If you know your worth as a performer, it's your call to demand whatever TF you deem fit. As a producer, if you think a venture will not yield a reasonable return, walk away and move on to the next option.

And based sa title ng BI, J-ustified choice, D-ropping highly priced. Sure na si D & J yan. Kung ayaw maniwala na si D & J pwedeng si J & E. Pero sure it's not A
ReplyDeleteWe recently got the services of J. His fee per appearance is not 7 digits. And he only has 1 person on his entourage. And even if you include his glam team, the fee would still be less than half a mil.
