FYI, fashion Shows present designer collections several months before the actual season. The show was staged Nov. 2013 so this Libiran collection is for Spring/Summer 2014. Ngenge lang that Francis Libiran said it was for 2015. Maniniwala sana ako na he stages forecast shows for two years ahead if he were a visionary, eh hindi naman.

It wasn't worn it was launched and she used it. Also, in Hollywood it's very common for an artist to watch fashion show and then buy the clothing. Therefore, they owned it and it wasn't second hand.

I'm sure Liz Uy is very professional. It's good for her that she was chosen as Maine's stylist. I mean, Main is not just your regular celebrity, to be a part of her rise to stardom will do much for your professional resume. It's the designer's fault for not letting them know that the gown was not a recent creation. Akala ata nila mga uto-utong jeje ang fans ng AlDub na walang alam sa fashion. Well, I hope you learned your lesson! For me the gown was lovely, I just don't like the fact na they thought we're so stupid they could lie to us.
Well I think Yaya Dub carried it well. And the gown reflects her dainty but outstanding personality. Siguro nga it's too bad na same gowns, BUT Maine still stood out and she even surpassed all the actresses you mentioned, as the country's sweetheart!

Buti pa si Gretchen Fullido (anchor sa isang segment sa TV Patrol para sa mga di nakakakilala), custom Libiran gown ang suot nung Star Magic Ball samantalang si Maine lumang design. The more I think about it, the more na mas shady. Binayaran pa ng EB yung gown, mukhang di man lang tailored to fit kasi medyo loose kay Maine so baka stock lang nila yun dun sa warehouse nila or something. Enebeyen di nalang pinahiram kung ganyan nalang din naman
Other designers would have made sure that the gown was not modeled by an actress prior to selling or giving it to Maine. It was poor form on Francis L.'s team not to disclose to maine's stlylist that the gown was already modeled by another actress . Worse is it was worn modeled by kim chiu. Sounds like a sabotage. Maine's stylist should be careful which designer to trust. other designers would Be more than willing to make a unique gown for Maine Mendoza . This is no coincidence. We are not dumb
I don't think it was an issue kung sinuot ni Kim before. Its the fact that Libiran claimed it was from his new collection when in fact it is 2013 pa! Pero in the end, si client naman ang may last say. Kung nagustuhan naman edi no problem diba. Baka naman kasi yun ang feel ni Maine.

This is the best explanation in my opinion. It was a historic event and we always expect celebs of that caliber to be dressed up uniquely. Yes it looked good on Kim but now that we knew it was worn by her sometime ago, we can't help but to compare, and only to discover it was quite off on Maine. It would have been nice to know that FL designed Meng's gown but it is the complete opposite. But then again we don't know what really happened during the costume planning.

Magiging aral ito sa marami. Dapat si Liz Uy, nagri-research din hindi yung basta maganda ok na, eh paano ngayon yan. Hindi na din mawawaglit sa isip ng tao kasehodang iminodel ito ni Kim na naisuot na. If I were Liz Uy, magre-resign ako as stylist ni Maine. If you will notice, may mga ipinasusuot din syang hindi akma..akala ko pa naman magaling sya. Nawala respect ko sa kanya. Kahit sa sastre lang sa palengke kung first time nakita ng tao kasi naman hindi basta-bastang personalities si Maine at Alden. Hindi naman pucho-puchong event yung pinaggamitan ng gown. yan din concern ko ok lang na 2013 pa kaso bakit kailangan ireason na 2015 tapos biglang kabig sa post na 2013. hindi dapat hinayaan ni liz ang ganto hindi na nga nya napafit yung gown pati yung haba hindi na din nya nalagyan ng yung pangpatigas para maganda bagsak pati ba naman yung pagiging luma kinalimutan.
Binayaran naman pala ng Eat Bulaga, sana yung bago naman ang binenta. I'm not against recycling clothes but yesterday's event was one for the books, i seems Francis and Liz underestimated it. Kahit sabihin pa na sa fashion show lang sinuot yun, the fact still remains: it was already used at a public event by a famous celebrity. Just imagine how many times the photo of Kim wearing that gown was posted/reposted on various social media accounts. The bottomline is, hindi naman si Maine ang talo dito, sinayang nina Francis at Liz ang chance na i showcase ang galing nila sa harap ng napakaraming taong nag abang sa event na yun.
May point naman si FP. They should've chosen something that was made recently or better yet something that was made just for Maine. Siguro naman madaming kilalang designer dyan ang gusto na masuot ni Maine yung gawa nila, not from a collection but from scratch. Pero Maine looked really beautiful naman in that gown. :)
if I were EB I'd get a new stylist for Aldub. The mere fact na sa sobrang phenomenal ni Maine ngayon kayang kaya nyang pasikatin any gowns made by any designer. Why not use an unknown but talented designer to create custom gowns for Maine to be used for special events? A lot of people are missing the point FP is trying to point out. It's a fashion faux pas for celebrities to wear identical clothes. Any breathing Filipino designer would kill for a chance to dress the biggest & truest multi-media star. So yung point nya, bakit naman sa baul ng 2013 pa kinuha yung gown & why lie about it? 2 years apart ang pinag-uusapan dito. And the gown was ill-fitting, too. Wala namang issue about how Maine looked cuz obviously she carried the gown well. Sana naman walang malice involved why they chose that gown for her. Maine looked like a princess, regardless.
He could have just said the truth rather than make an alibi. Even if the color looks somewhat different from the posted pics for Kim. If Maine chose this gown though among other choices presented by Liz, then there should be no problem. If however, she knew this beforehand as the centerpiece more than 2 years ago, she should have informed ahead Maine.
Pagkakita ko sa gown ni Maine, alam ko agad na gawa ni FL yun at pinasuot kay Kim nung 2013 for a fashion show. For a very momentous occasion, sana ginawan ng custom-made gown si Maine since willing naman siya gastusan ng EB. So yeah, medyo na-off ako sa styling skills ni Liz Uy dito. Very disappointing. Sa iba sinasabi gown lang yan pero lets all remember Liz does styling for a living so sana hindi naman sayang bayad sa kanya at alam nya dapat yung mga ganito.

Why her? She didn't make the gown. She didn't lie about it din either. Her job is to style maine, labas na sya kung anong year ginawa yang gown na yan. It's Libiran's fault imo kase he was the one who lied about the gown stating that it's new when it's actually 2 years old. And wore by a well-known actress from the rival network regardless if its just for modelling or whatever. All for the sake of sales. Jusko.

Nag guest sya sa Tim Yap Show recently eh like a night or 2 nights before the historic TAMANG PANAHON show. He was talking about how proud he is for penetrating tje hollywood fashion scene and what's next for him is he's going to build an empire daw, TAS NGAYON ETO?? ETO GAGAWA NG EMPIRE?? BANKING/CAPITALIZING ON LIES?? MAHIYA KA KE KIM KARDASHIAN BAKS jusko ginagawa mo kaming ta**a! Atsaka eto lang masasabi ko kay liz uy, ANO BANG PROBLEMA MO?!??!?!?!?!?!

I honestly didn't notice the gown nor did I care about it, despite seeing a fan actually called it out. Mashado kasi akong focus kay maine and sa afm candy nyang prince charming. Or the other way around, alden with his princess.. Ngayon ko lang na-realize na naisahan ang EB at nakakainsulto yung ginawa ni designer. Bad ka designer ha!!
TAPE Inc. pakiblacklist lang po si Libiran at si Liz Uy. Do not get their services ever! And to Libiran, if there is any tinge of decency left in you, you should refund TAPE Inc. for defrauding them by selling them an old/used gown.

Ngenge lang that Francis Libiran said it was for 2015. Maniniwala sana ako na he stages forecast shows for two years ahead if he were a visionary, eh hindi naman.

Buti pa si Gretchen Fullido (anchor sa isang segment sa TV Patrol para sa mga di nakakakilala), custom Libiran gown ang suot nung Star Magic Ball samantalang si Maine lumang design. The more I think about it, the more na mas shady. Binayaran pa ng EB yung gown, mukhang di man lang tailored to fit kasi medyo loose kay Maine so baka stock lang nila yun dun sa warehouse nila or something. Enebeyen di nalang pinahiram kung ganyan nalang din naman

It was poor form on Francis L.'s team not to disclose to maine's stlylist that the gown was already modeled by another actress . Worse is it was worn modeled by kim chiu. Sounds like a sabotage. Maine's stylist should be careful which designer to trust. other designers would Be more than willing to make a unique gown for Maine Mendoza . This is no coincidence. We are not dumb

This is the best explanation in my opinion. It was a historic event and we always expect celebs of that caliber to be dressed up uniquely. Yes it looked good on Kim but now that we knew it was worn by her sometime ago, we can't help but to compare, and only to discover it was quite off on Maine. It would have been nice to know that FL designed Meng's gown but it is the complete opposite. But then again we don't know what really happened during the costume planning.

I kept thinking if yun na ba talaga ang the best gown they chose or presented to her? Wala na bang ibang pretty and flowy design? Even the hem of the dress looked weird to me. ReplyDeleteyan din concern ko ok lang na 2013 pa kaso bakit kailangan ireason na 2015 tapos biglang kabig sa post na 2013. hindi dapat hinayaan ni liz ang ganto hindi na nga nya napafit yung gown pati yung haba hindi na din nya nalagyan ng yung pangpatigas para maganda bagsak pati ba naman yung pagiging luma kinalimutan.

I'm not against recycling clothes but yesterday's event was one for the books, i seems Francis and Liz underestimated it. Kahit sabihin pa na sa fashion show lang sinuot yun, the fact still remains: it was already used at a public event by a famous celebrity. Just imagine how many times the photo of Kim wearing that gown was posted/reposted on various social media accounts. The bottomline is, hindi naman si Maine ang talo dito, sinayang nina Francis at Liz ang chance na i showcase ang galing nila sa harap ng napakaraming taong nag abang sa event na yun.

Siguro naman madaming kilalang designer dyan ang gusto na masuot ni Maine yung gawa nila, not from a collection but from scratch. Pero Maine looked really beautiful naman in that gown. :)

ReplyDeleteif I were EB I'd get a new stylist for Aldub. The mere fact na sa sobrang phenomenal ni Maine ngayon kayang kaya nyang pasikatin any gowns made by any designer. Why not use an unknown but talented designer to create custom gowns for Maine to be used for special events? Sorry but Liz Uz and Liberan failed big time altough stunning pa rin si Maine in that dress.

ReplyDeleteBased sa statement ni Libiran it shows na wala syang credibility - eh 2013 pa pala yung gown, maka banggit na 2015. No matter what gown na isuot ni Maine she will stand out. The issue here is yung pagkakapareho. We want our girl to wear unique gown based on her unique personality. Imagine binili pa ng Eat Bulaga and wala man lang alam ang stylist - thats a big shame!!! Hellooo!! Wala pa naman napatunayan si Liz Uy nakilala lang yan because of her friends - oh well pareho naman sila ng mga ugali ni Kabayo. Sana palitan na lang si Liz Uy sumasakay lang yan sa kasikatan ni Maine #Fact

On the other hand, she (and that designer) probably thought little of Maine Mendoza that's why she didn't bother to ensure that the gown has not been worn/modeled by another celebrity, what's worse, KaF celebrity pa, putting her client at the risk of bashing from those cheap jeje KaF fans. If that's the case then she doesn't deserve to be part of Maine's glam team.

Surely she's well paid to dress up such iconic celebrities. Kung katamaran man ito o sabotahe, it didn't matter c/o Alden and Maine. THEY WERE STUNNING. I guess kahit anong ipasuot mo sa mga taong tulad nila, they'll turn out as good as their personality. Yes I'm a fantard but come on, weren't they super charming last Saturday? :)

Dami nga nakapansin sa bahay yun neckline di fit kay Maine yun laylayan ang sagwa obviously pangit ang pagkaka repair to fit Maine's body measurement kulang na lang may mga aspili sa likod na nakakabit!! Yun kay Alden naman parang cover ng sofa pati length ng pants ang sagwa... buti na lang natabunan ng kilig yung inis ko kahapon pero kahapon pa yun now na nahimasmasan na ako tuloy ang inis tuwing maalala ko ang kabastusan ni Libiran at Liz Uy na yan!

ReplyDeleteA lot of people are missing the point FP is trying to point out. It's a fashion faux pas for celebrities to wear identical clothes. Any breathing Filipino designer would kill for a chance to dress the biggest & truest multi-media star. So yung point nya, bakit naman sa baul ng 2013 pa kinuha yung gown & why lie about it? 2 years apart ang pinag-uusapan dito. And the gown was ill-fitting, too. Wala namang issue about how Maine looked cuz obviously she carried the gown well. Sana naman walang malice involved why they chose that gown for her. Maine looked like a princess, regardless.

If Maine chose this gown though among other choices presented by Liz, then there should be no problem. If however, she knew this beforehand as the centerpiece more than 2 years ago, she should have informed ahead Maine.

ReplyDeletePagkakita ko sa gown ni Maine, alam ko agad na gawa ni FL yun at pinasuot kay Kim nung 2013 for a fashion show. Gusto ko kasi mga works ni FL kaya familiar ako sa mga works nya pero I must admit na nadisappoint ako ng konti na yun ang pinasuot kay Maine. Para kasing off-the-rack lang yung nagyari. Eh kung naging tube nga yung top nun, magiging katulad naman ng debut gown ni Kathryn eh. And to think na binayaran ng EB yung gown ha. Hindi pinahiram lang ni FL. For a very momentous occasion, sana ginawan ng custom-made gown si Maine since willing naman siya gastusan ng EB. So yeah, medyo na-off ako sa styling skills ni Liz Uy dito. Very disappointing. Sa iba sinasabi gown lang yan pero lets all remember Liz does styling for a living so sana hindi naman sayang bayad sa kanya at alam nya dapat yung mga ganito.

Tingin ko may fault din ang EB dun, dahil historical ang event nung sat dapat ginastusan man lang yung suot ni maine. Sana nagpagawa sila ng gown. Sa laki ng kinita nila sa aldub dapat di sila kumuha ng recycled na damit kasi yun yung dapat para sa kanila. Pero syempre kahit anong reklamo ko, nangyari na e sabagay mas nakafocus din naman ako sa kilig nung sat at hindi sa damit.

It's Libiran's fault imo kase he was the one who lied about the gown stating that it's new when it's actually 2 years old. And wore by a well-known actress from the rival network regardless if its just for modelling or whatever. All for the sake of sales. Jusko.

ReplyDeleteI honestly didn't notice the gown nor did I care about it, despite seeing a fan actually called it out. Mashado kasi akong focus kay maine and sa afm candy nyang prince charming. Or the other way around, alden with his princess.. Ngayon ko lang na-realize na naisahan ang EB at nakakainsulto yung ginawa ni designer. Bad ka designer ha!!
