Also the actress in this case didn't really speak up about the incident until AFTER the director maligned her on FB. The actress was already physically abuse on set and yet the director still had the gall to badmouth her online.

I dunno what this writer is having, but the actress was deliberately hurt by the director. She got hurt NOT while doing the scene, and certainly not by her co-actor. Real slapping while filming if asked for is acceptable. But punching beforehand to make the scene more realistic is something else.
I can't believe anyone would defend this director and his methods. Or anyone can say na nag iinarte lang Yung actor. She's played battered women before, but does that mean he has the right to punch her in the stomach to prep her for a scene. It shows a lack of understanding for the Actor's craft and a complete disregard for her safety. It didn't happen during the scene, it happened prior
