Woah! Such arrogance and condescending comment from 8:23. I have lived in highly developed countries more than half of my lifetime- the USA , UK and Switzerland to name a few. Each country that I have been to, had their own noontime shows. Growing up in the Philippines, I remember watching eat bulaga as that was my mum's favourite noon time show, I remember watching soap operas in the U.S. - General Hospital , etc and then Emmerdale and Coronation in London. They might not be a variety show , it may come in a different form but their is a universal reason for watching these shows. The social and emotional need of every human being to feel connected and to have that shared experience. It does not have any demographics . Check Maslow's theory.😏
Yes, no noontime shows in your so-called developed countries that's why there seems to be outlet for them to vent out their frustrations. Just look at the statistics of people suffering from depression from those countries. Look at how they cope up! They resort to violence. Do you know how resilient Pinoys are? Many are happy despite of our situation. Why? Because we, Pinoys, appreciate simple little things that can make us happy.
Just enjoy it, don't stress yourself in finding a reason. You can always turn off the tv if you're in a "developed country" while we "poverty stricken" people are having fun!

Mga 8:00am na ko natulog kasi inaabangan ko yung pagbukas ng gate kahit team bahay lang ako. Todo refresh sa Twitter para makakita ng live updates and grabe...halo halo na emotions ko like wow madaling araw palang ang dami ng tao. Tapos marami din sa mga bus stations. Kinilabutan at medyo natakot din ako kasi anything could go wrong. Most people pag nasa grocery or bank tapos may 5 na tao na nauna sayo medyo naiinis ka na pero dito tiis talaga lalo na nung sumikat na yung araw ang init init pero makikita mo lahat masaya sa pila.
