    8. Bakit nga naman di siya mag decline right away. She can always say no. Nagpaalam naman pala sa kanya. My goodness!

Patient privacy is not violated here, additional input: if the nurse have taken pictures with her, then she should have said "NO taking of pictures please" in the first place before it happened. Also, if she have said "no picture taking", then "IF" the nurse insisted to have a picture with her, then that's violating Ms.Peraleja's privacy as patient.

    4. I agree with you 12:48 am. Dapat from the start palang, sinabi na nya.. Sguro yung timing nung mga nurse, kala nila routine check up lang.
So nxt time wag na magpa picture kay rica!!

    6. Anong patient privacy is not violated? If any health professional did this with any patient here in the USA, tanggal ka sa trabaho. Artista or not artista.

That is very unethical as it breaches patient confidentiality. Kahit pa sabihin na hindi ipopost sa social media yung pics, the fact that they broke protocol from their professional responsibilities, consists of a violation of ethical standards required of a medical professional, as well as the hospital for which they are employed. People can get fired for that. Lalo pa sa St. Luke's.

      Delete
Kaloka. Nurse ka talaga?

    4. Macmillian's dictionary defines the word unprofessional as "not behaving according to the standards of work or behavior of your profession." Therese nurses are there to treat patents. They were not hired to be photographers or as paparazzis. Taking pictures is not part of their job description unless needed for educational purposes. Did that address your question? Thank You. 10. It is unprofessional as at that period of time they were clocked in , in short they were working. Yes they did commit a HIPAA violation. It's so strange that the actors and actresses in the Philippines are so fond of posting their identibands in public, as in what a bunch of....,, They expect confidentiality yet they announce to the netizens their personal information and the location of the healthcare facility that they are admitted. Now back to the issue, as a customer/ client she has the right to say no and to make a complaint, As for the nurses, if you did that in the U.S. , yes you can kiss your job goodbye. 😎

  13. I am a nurse and my thoughts on this: first, having a picture with her is not a violation for her privacy. Why? In the medical field dictionary, violation of privacy happens only if her medical problem was brought outside the hospital by the attending medical workers. Also, violation of privacy also happens if her medical documents in the hospital were given to other people without her knowledge. Having a picture with her alone is NOT A VIOLATION OF PRIVACY. Only in the medical field people can agree with me.

    1. Tumpak sis. In the first place she agreed to have her picture take with the nurse. So may consent. Where's the violation of privacy there?

      Delete
    2. Defend mo lang yan. Ipagpatuloy mo lang yan.

      Delete
    3. I am in the medical field. Invasion of privacy includes taking a photo as well. You cannot take a picture of anyone in your facility without their consent whether your intent is to publish it or not. Letting some people know that this person is in your facility is already breaking the privacy rule. If Rica didn't want a photo of her taken, then she should have made it clear in the beginning. The fact is she gave the consent and agreed to do it anyway although deep inside her, she didn't want to. This is against hospital policy.

    5. I work as a nurse too and while some parts of what you said may be true, you also have to remember that the patient has the right to keep her visitation to the hospital confidential. Also m try asking yourself, is it a part of your job description as a nurse to ask a celebrity for a picture? Are you getting paid for that? No? Then don't do it. Kahit ba sabik ka dahil artista yung pasyente mo, you gotta remember to respect the patient and their right to seek medical assistance IN PRIVATE. Don't try to justify this appalling behavior. if you want a picture with her, the hospital is not the appropriate setting for that. And even if she gave consent, it doesn't change the fact that it's still not right and they still shouldn't have done it.

      Delete
Punta kayo sa ibang bansa, to learn more.

    2. It' not for publicity girl she's just expressing her dissapointment. And konsensya if they did there job right. Pero prang lumalabas n tinotolerate mo yung ganyang work ethics

    4. 1:48am Sabi nga niya she told the girl diba?? Kaya nga nag apologize yung girl. Next time read the whole thing before you comment. Take note also that the nurses wanted to take photos with her one by one. Perhaps she was okay to have her photo taken once, but to do it over and over again seems a bit too much. Put yourself in her shoes will you?? Sobrang negative mo eh.

  40. masama na nga pakiramdam pero naka pag FB pa to complain, feeling sikat! naalala ko a few years back, naghahanap friend ko ng muse for la salle greenhills sportsfest, tapos isang co parent nila kinausap si rica, sinagot na di daw sya pwede kasi taga ateneo sya...may attitude!!! considering pastor pa ata ang asawa

    2. LOL! Rightfully so. Atenista ka tapos mag-mu-muse ka sa LaSalle. A travesty.

      Delete
    3. Anong may attitude dun?

  41. Pasalamat nga dapat ang laosian citizen na 'to at may nakakilala pa sa kanya. LOL

    1. May laban c rica kasi bawal nmn talaga mag papicture s oras ng trabahao.

    2. Lol kahit saang aspect, tama si rica dun. Mali yung nurse dun.

  43. No violation of privacy since she agreed to have her pix taken but it was unethical for the nurses to have their pix taken with her bcoz she is a patient in the hosp. I am a nurse at i would not ask kahit sino pang personality na patient ko sa hosp to have a photo with them unless d pt is already feeling well and game na mag papix. Pagkaalam ko mrami nmn mga nurses or doctors ngpapapix sa mga celebrities in the hospital settings pag they are well and about to be discharged

    1. Girl, even if the patient is already feeling well, there should be no photos to be taken with her. Ospital yan. Hindi yan mall tour.

  45. I find this hard to believe, especially at a hospital like St Luke's. Hello, they're trained to respect people - especially when they know that the person is unwell. Ang mga nurses naman natin ay may pinagaralan, and most of them went to really great schools. I find that Facebook post funny. ONE BY ONE talaga!? It's not as if she's very current. Not for anything, pero she's not even active in showbiz. Why will people make a fuzz?

  46. Mahirap ba magpaka-professional 8 hours a day, sa oras ng trabaho at pigilan ang sarili kapag nakakita ng artista?

This goes to everyone nurses, airport employees, fastfood employees, etc.

    ReplyDelete
  47. hmm, need mo pa talaga post sa social media? kala ko not feeling well ka bakit ka nag-gadgets? You can say no naman, baka mawalan pa trabaho yong mga nurses.

    1. Pag not feeling well ka di mo ginagamit gadgets mo? Talaga lang ha.

    1. You have my respect. Not like the others na ang taong na hassle pa ang bina-bash kesyo laos na and for publicity. Pathetic people, their need to bash has destroyed their ability to understand a scenario.

  49. Utang na loob. Yung comment nang comment ng "patient privacy was not violated here" eh health professional ba? And if he/she is, she should have no right working in the health professions. Dito sa Amerika, pag health professional ka, pag-usapan mo nga lang ang isang pasyente out in the open eh bawal. Ito pa kaya na magpa-picture sa pasyente?

    1. True. Napag hahalatang tuloy m sila yung mga nurse.

    2. True!

  50. Pero deep inside ego trip din si starlet, hence she too effort in posting the said incident on social media.

And this is not a bad thing para tumaas rin ang standard ng hospital. As for the nurse, matutunan ang work ethics

  51. Mga nurse siguro dito yun mga violent reaction. Sasabihin pa na mag decline si rica. Eh haller in the first place hindi naman talaga dapat sila nagpapa pciture sa may sakit.

  52. Dear plain and simple lang solution diyan, magsabi ka lang ng No. Sa mga nurses naman, kayo din nagpapababa ng profession natin. Magpapicture kayo pag may show sila.

    1. Ako ha.. I UNDERSTAND HER.

  56. Parehong may pagkukulang si Rica and the nurses. Yun na yon.

    ReplyDelete
  57. Artista or not, people expect nurses to attend to them not to have photos with the patient.

    ReplyDelete
Wag ka mag popost ng verses about forgiveness, patience at love sa social media accounts mo ha at babarahin tlga kita.

  59. based sa post niya, i think ang naging situation was she agreed to a few snaps, pero when dumami na yung nagpapapicture, dun na siya naasar kasi nga she's not feeling well. alam mo naman tayong mga pinoy, inggitera din, pag pinagbigyan mo ang isa, dapat yung iba din.

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  62. Napaka judgmental ng mga ibang tao talaga. Komo pastor's wife, huhusgahan na as if walang karapatan magalit ang tao. In my opinion, karapatan niya na mag rant. When you're not feeling well, kahit asawa ka pa ng presidente o hari, uunahin mo pa ba ang magpapicture?

    ReplyDelete
One by one daw nagpapicture. Imagine tiniis din niya one by one. Kamusta naman yon. Sana 2nd or 3rd shot eh sinabi na niyang enough. Sos. Arti arti

  64. Buti nga may nagpapapicture pa sayo. Be happy and be proud na may natatouch ka na buhay. Kahit kay sakit ka just be grateful and smile.

This is the time of social media kasya nga lang sana ilagay din sa lugar yang mga pagpapapic na yan.
