I always tell non-Filipinos who want to visit to skip Manila. Unless they want to see a glimpse of hell.

    2. Unfortunately, they cant escape Manila. Thats where they will land "NAIA". And actually yung sinasabi mong panira which is Manila ang nag aakyat ng pera sa Pinas. Like oo, mabenta ang beaches at ibang lugar para sa mga dayuhan pero isipin mo naman din na nag sstay lang sila doon for few days or weeks. Most, stays in Manila for work or para mag invest. Manila has different faces and you must have seen just one.

When I was assigned overseas, that's when I loved the Philippines more.

  13. same sentiments here when i went back to P.I for vacation. I know may pag asa pa tayo kung magiging disiplinado lang. How come ang Pinoy pag nasa ibang bansa nman nagpa-follow ng rules?

  15. Agree with her.

  16. I lived in the US too and I also think the traffic situation in this country, in each and every one of its cities, is deplorable. If Filipinos mustered enough manners and courtesy on the road we wouldn't have such horrible traffic. Everyone wants to get ahead, everyone wants to be first. Nobody gives way. If only traffic lights were everywhere, if only stop signs were on each corner. If courtesy was taught in schools. If children were taught not to litter. If buses and jeepneys were subject to stringent rules. This country can move forward.

  27. My exact sentiments. Manila is sooooo bad and in order to survive, you have to be praning ALL THE TIME. You just can't let your guards down, kahit nasa bahay ka pa.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Well I echo her sentiments. Being away from the Philippines for a long time and then come back to visit, one couldn't help but notice how far behind we have been lagging in terms of infrastructure and discipline, most of all. You notice it everywhere, politics, showbiz, everywhere. Hanggang hindi tayo nagkaka disiplina in the truest sense of the word, walang pag unlad na magaganap.
