TV series like Sense8 wont happen anytime soon sa local TV. Why? Kasi para sa local TV Networks ang Masa ay tanga. Para sa kanila hindi kaya ng masa i-process ang mga complex storylines. Kaya ang binibigay nila sa atin ay yung sa tingin nila ay ang kaya lang i-process ng utak ng masang pinoy. Sana Media companies in the PHL will stop treating their audience as dumb and stupid, and hopefully give us something intelligent to watch.
Pinoy teleseryes will always focus on the same komiks-type formulas:
a. loveteams b. bida-kontrabida c. rich-poor d. inaapi-revenge e. ambulance-police-hospital-slums scenes f. over-the-top shouting and crying scenes g. rain scenes h. conspiracy plot
May mga materials na nag-ririsk ang mga networks pero ayaw kagatin ng viewers.
There are times na naka-plantsa na ang scripts, timeline ng story pero mababa ang ratings, kaya no choice ang network. 1. Insert KBP (K-idnapan, B-arilan, P-atayan) 2. Pagwawala ng mga rabid fans sa mga LT kapag di in favor sa LT faves nila 3. Exposure/airtime ng mga idols nila kaya madalas naapektuhan ang flow ng story.
I agree, I don't watch local shows because it's a waste of electricity and time. The only reason why I know some of the current batch of artistas like Andi is because of Fashionpulis. On the other hand, 90% of the current artistas would not have a job if it weren't for all the fluff and other asinine shows/movies currently being churned. And yes, that would include you Andi. It's like biting the hand that feeds you :)
I don't like Andi pero bago yung iba mang-okray na nakapaganalyze pa sya ng series, it's because of how deep and good #SENSE8 actually is! No wonder, it brought out so much feelings and thoughts from her as how the show also did for me and many of its viewers. Watch nyo rin pag may time kayo para sa mga may sense talaga na series na hindi puro kabaduyan katulad ng pinapalabas dito sa atin. It will widen your perspective as a human and what we are capable of doing :) at least sya ginugol nya yung time nya sa may katuturan na palabas. Just saying!
try to watch the series! kailangan natin ng mga ganung klaseng series, o hindi kaya mga period series nang may matutunan ang mga manonood hindi puro tungkol sa pangangaliwa, at pagpapacute.

Kaya nga I dont watch TV as much as I used to before. Mas nakaka-entertain yung mga American at Canadian TV series para sa akin kasi maraming genre at iba-iba yung storylines. Dito sa Pilipinas recycled lahat pati sa movies.
The local industry is afraid to venture out and would rather stick to what is proven to be bankable than be creative. Feel ko nga frustrated din yung mga scriptwriters and directors because they cannot venture to something different kasi hindi sila bibigyan ng budget & support kapag hindi pang "masa" ang gagawin nila. I guess, business is business and it's very unlikely to change anytime soon..
Andi is really smart! my sister and i watched one of her interviews and she was like wow Andi has brains!I think sa love lng sya hindi smart but brave enough to gave birth to wonderful child at the peek of her career..:)
Pero sana huwag naman gayahin ang mga series sa ibang bansa, Pwede naman silang mag reinvent ng concept na patok sa taste ng mga Pilipino na at the same time will also educate the viewers
Sense8 is a TV series exclusively streamed in NetFlix. NetFlix is not available in the Philippines as of this posting. Unless she's in US, Australia or other Netflix-catered country outside Pinas - our little miss Andi here just admitted she watched a TV series via piracy. You go girl
