Good job, Nestle. And kudos to FP and consumer. But to us all, cases like this should be brought up via the consumer care hotline. They are in the labels for reasons while commenting on their official social media channels can cause panic without proper information laid down. It's primarily for marketing & brand building purposes either. I'm sure the company has already started re-assessing the product stability studies and have given Mrs. Mercado something as consolation. #customerservice
Spoilage and product instability prior to Best Before End date in ready-to-drink products are usually caused by pinholes in the packaging. Pinholes are normally found in the corners where the packaging carton is folded. Basically, pinholes let air inside the sterilized environment, and this leads to product oxidation (rancidity) and entrance of microbes in the otherwise aseptic environment. Exposure to air = spoilage of RTD.
Also, judging from the partial batch code, product looks legit. Doesn't look like a fake Milo RTD.
Sometimes may ganyang pangyayari talaga. May experience din akong ganyan, kaso hindi na lang ako nag complain. Hindi na nga rin ako bumili ng product nila after that.
Actually nangyari na din sa skin yan. Bought a canned ready to drink milo sa isang famous Filipino grocery store and pag inom ko I felt na may buo buo then I poured it into a glass to see Kung ano Meron and ganyan nga ung nakita ko. It happened mga 2 years ago.
