      Delete
Haha

    ReplyDelete
  14. Iba naman ang point ni Rhap... I share his sentiments.

    2. Agree. They can do lipsynch in variety shows for their fans but having an album , these non singers should be be humble enough to decline an offer for an album. The producers are self serving and doing it only for the money. Wag nang pati non singers and their handlers/ mothers mukhang pera rin

  36. You are obviously guilty because of Daniel but nobody deprived anyone of that freedom to sing.

The Philippine Entertainment Industry tolerates this because they bring in money. Money from clueless and art-ignorant people. Case in point, Kris Aquino vs. Gerphil Flores a.k.a. Fame during her stint in the ABS-CBN show PGT. Her ignorance of opera. Anyway, I didn't like what Boy Abunda said in response to Rhap Salazar's tweet. He said Rhap has the freedom not to watch these performances as much as he has the freedom to hate it. That may be true but we have the freedom to critique too you know especially if the one who critiques knows a lot or more about the stuff than most of us do.

Anyway, I think the reason why other people in the industry, like Boy and Vice, defend these occurrence of non-singers who are made to sing, is because they know it too well -- the masses love mediocre people who are in the limelight because it gives them hope. It gives them the chance to hope that if these people can they can make it on stage as well. It's nice but to the expense of true art.

    ReplyDelete
So why not let them do whatever they want to do? Besides, they don't impose it on everyone to buy their album. Wala naman silang natatapakang tao eh so let them do what they want to do. :)

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Haha say that "wala naman silang natatapakang tao" to artists who take their work seriously and work hard for their craft. Baka matampal ka haha. Hindi natin ramdam yun kasi hindi natin yan passion pero for them, iba ang effect. Gets?

      Delete
    2. Dear, think about it this way, gumagawa sila ng album, fans nila ang bumibili ng album nila.

Judy Ann did it when I was a kid pasalamat na lang ako she stopped na din. Sa mga artist delikadeza na lang uubra siguro, if you can't sing talaga then may ibang avenue pa din to entertain other than releasing an album.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Bottom line is this: the Philippine entertainment industry picks good looks, "Mestiza-ness" and legacy first, and find talent later. So instead of being great at one thing, these finds are allowed to be mediocre at 4 things like singing, dancing, acting and hosting. Which is why get so much lip syncing. Record, auto tune, then perform. Which is why we have all these untapped and undiscovered talents being found on YouTube by Americans and the like. Until the Philippines and its viewers raise their standards to be more than just who's half white and who's light skinned with the best underarms, you will continue to get half assed talents.

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  45. If the shoe fits, wear it!

    ReplyDelete
  46. People sometimes buy albums because the 'artist' looks extraordinary and not because they understand the music at all. In this country looks trumps talent. So even if you sound like a screeching animal as long as you look good you will be praised by most of the people. The Philippine Entertainment Industry tolerates this because they bring in money. Money from clueless and art-ignorant people.

Anyway, I think the reason why other people (aside from Karla defending her son) in the industry, like Boy & Vice, defend these occurrence of non-singers who are made to sing, is because they know it too well -- the masses love mediocre people who are in the limelight because it gives them hope. It gives them the chance to hope that if these people can they can make it on stage as well. It's nice but to the expense of true art.

    1. Lately Boy Abunda has been too nice... Or maybe he is afraid to be bash like other reporters of ABSCBN. Even his show A&A does nothing but suck up to Kathniel and other loveteams. Minsan nawawala na credibility nya. Kasi pag Kapamilya, mum sya. Nadidiktahan din pala sya Ng management.

  47. Who the ---- called her Queen Mother? 1) She didn't raise a perfect child! 2) And she is milking her own son. Fantards lang talaga... Shouldn't they consider their own mothers Queen Mother rather than this woman? She should not accept being called that. Ang kapal! Laman kaya sya Ng casinos before. My aunts used to see her there.

    ReplyDelete
  48. You're just his mom. You have not proven anything in showbiz. You weren't the one who made DJ famous. Stop talking as if you are an expert. Plus your son can sing. The issue is about those who cannot ding and cannot lip sync as well.

    ReplyDelete
  49. di naman singer ang anak mo, or kapareha nya.... alisin ang auto tune walang boses ang anak mo or si Kathryn B.!!! period

    ReplyDelete
  50. Simply said, these non-singers are taking advantage of their dull-witted fan base (most of whom belong to the D and E social grades) who patronize everything and anything their idols have to offer. I cannot imagine the ripple effect on our economy but it must be good for the particular recording company promoting these famous lipsynch(ers) who are raking a lot of money for them. Can the queen mother be blamed for being lucky because she has a famous lipsynch(ing) son?

  54. This is a free country and a free market. Agree with lea salonga that it's a supply and demand thing. There's youtube now for those without a big label backing you up. In short walang demand for your face and your talent.

    ReplyDelete

  56. Yes of course you do have the right my dear but an album? Well, even Yoyoy Villame will be ashamed to the bones!!! LOL

  58. I believe that everyone has the right to sing. BUT not everyone has the right to have an ALBUM! - I'm not Rhap tho.

    ReplyDelete
  59. Karla's got a point but celebrities should have at least the delicadeza. If they want to pursue a career in music SERIOUSLY, they should undergo voice lessons and re-assess themselves. As simple as that.

    ReplyDelete
  60. Simple lang, if i hear non-singers on the radio i switched channel rather than get annoyed with their mediocre voice. I'd rather listed to good songs whilst strucked in traffic to lessen the bad vibes hehe

    ReplyDelete
  61. look at south korea... they invest on people with talent... nireretoke nila but they make sure na may talent talaga yung hinohone nila.

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  63. In the shower, yes. But not in public if you can't sing.

    ReplyDelete
  64. No. Those who can't sing should spare us from such punishment.

    ReplyDelete
  65. Showbiz in Pinas is just so bad. Very, very low ang standards.

    ReplyDelete

Men... ang babaw.

I have nothing against with the likes of Vice, Enchong (katunayan he is one of the best actors of our generation), Anne, or Maja. They are goldmines when it come to fans supporting them. Business is business.

At Filipino consumers and supporters of OPM... taas taasan naman ang standards. Don't settle for anything less than your money's worth. Pinagpaguran nyo yan... so it should be spend wisely.

  68. At LAHAT din may karapatang magsabi na hindi magaling kumanta si daniel padilla, as in LAHAT.
