I already told my uncle zobel de ayala about this things to do preventative maintenance on the malls why they ddnt do this?? This is so frustrating..

DeleteThis was a company activity, hindi regular showing ng movie. They just paid for the venue. Hindi naman yung roof ang nag collapse. Yung ceiling lang. Ayala is very near our place and I was inside the mall (though not inside cinema 5) when it happened. Yung water lang daw na nag leak ang nag cause nung pag collapse kasi naipon yata sa ceiling. Thank God no people were seriously hurt. Still, scary lang mabagsakan ung mga metal chuchu...

DeleteThank you lord walang nasaktan! Pero napansin ko lang na instead na lumabas na sila or mag evacuate sa cinema mas inuna pa nila yung pagkuhakuha ng mag pics at videos. I do not know the whole story, but sana next time mas unahin muna nila safety nila than taking videos and pics.

ReplyDeleteIt was raining hard here in cebu kani kanina lang. May nagsabi dahil sa lakas ng ulan but that is not an acceptable reason naman kasi malakas din yolanda dito sa amin. Yung bahay namin malapit lang sa mall na yan walking distance lang.

ReplyDeleteThe rooftop of Ayala has been converted to shops and open space. I wonder if the concrete was not well laid out or had cracks Kaya the water seeped in. Sino ba ang contractor? I hope no one was seriously injured. San ba ang management? It looks like people have been standing on the side for awhile. Dapat pina evacuate na before the drip became a downpour.
ReplyDeletecorrection po. hindi po converted. talagang sa new expansion yan ng Ayala Cebu pati ang cinema ay bago din. 1 year pa lang ang expansion na yan. bumigay daw ang pipe ng tubig sa sobrang pressure.

ReplyDeleteSince sa ceiling Yan.. And most of the building may mga pipes jan sa taas, Baka may leak yun pipes causing the ceiling to fall. Di ko napanuod yun video pero Yan Lang naisip ko. Poor maintenance. And Kung bago man Yan eh.. Poor construction .

ReplyDeletePart of the roof already collapsed and water was pouring in. Yet, most of the people near it just stood there watching instead of leaving the premises, right away. Buti na lang not a lot were injured when a bigger portion of the roof collapsed.
ReplyDeletebaliw they were waiting for the water to stop because it was pouring hard. The others are at the top because of the water and they knew it could collapse.

yes. We never expected na mag.collapse yung ceiling. umalis lang kami sa inuupoan namin para hindi mabasa. Hindi pa tapos yung event namin. But people were slowly going to the fire exit. Nung ng.collapse nah, doon na nagmadali para makalabas. And mind you, ang liit ng fire exit sa taas ng cinema.
