  1. He is right.. Also i think the issue here is not because of crossdressing. I heard from the grip vine that the third sex people who went there dress in a privocative manner but there are also some of them who did crossdressing that is in a nice classy and decent manner that was able to come inside.. Others who are showing clevage but doesnt sues or fits them and even super thich make up that looks like a drag queen they are the one that was not able to come inside. So i think the issue here is dress properly or else no entree.

    1. wardrobe and even make up should not be the basis.... coz as far as i know, karamihan ng guests nila ay fashion designers, art and fashion enthusiasts..if thats the case, the clib should widen its perspective towards the arts and fashion. i believe a club is a place to express one self and have fun. its no church

  4. Di ba isa yan sa nasampal ni A sa isa pang club dahil pati sa VIP table may nakikikuha ng drinks? Hinala ko sikat lang yan pero hindi talaga magaling mag manage ng bar.

  6. While I disagree with the no cross dressing policy, or whatever they wish to call it, it IS true that a privately owned establishment can implement their own rules and policies. If people don't agree with the policies, then they and their friends can boycott the place. Unfortunately, you can't force them to change the rules, especially if they are being deliberately vague about the rules.

    2. Medyo off nga si Geena, she was in a combat mode. But nonetheless let's empathise with her. She's leading a worthy advocacy and may pinanggagalingan sya.

On the other hand, Melo has breeding and class. Very diplomatic! Kudos to her as well.

Please read the whole thread, it is both educational and entertaining. We definitely need more education on the LGBT issues.

  11. If Geena Roncero and Melo Esguerra are making the appeal, I believe their complaint has substance.

Coming from JM, that's just rich. JUST SAYIN'

Plus, allowing trampy women is just so passe

    2. Tama! I have a lot of gay and lesbian friends and I love them! Kaya lang minsan ang OA nga ng response sa mga ganitong bagay eh kahit babae naman pag hindi nila type papasukin hindi nila papapasukin, plus there are different clubs that cater to different people. Like bawal ang babae sa gentlemen's club or may mga gay spas na bawal din ang girls. Parehas lang ng principle yun.

  34. Yes!! Mababawasan ang kalaban sa club! Hahaha

    ReplyDelete
  35. They might be forgetting the 'spending power' of the LGBT community.

JM why is that the 'cross dressers' are singled out as refused entry to your club?

    ReplyDelete
  36. This is definitely not an isolated case. I have read and heard stories of friends and their friends who have been denied but choose to move past the incident by keeping quiet or do not have enough klout to get their plea across to the people who can make a change.

True they are a private establishment and they have the right to set their own rules but if mag lalagay sila ng policy dapat strict ang implementation nila across all - hindi yung makikita ko na may nakakapasok dahil 1) may VIP table sila 2) may kilala sila sa loob. Eto yung issue, nagiging case of discrimination eto dahil hindi nila ito pinapatupad na equal sa lahat.

Also, i see girls flaunting too much skin in valkyre so its not justifiable when they say that they just want to protect these transwomen na mabastos. Clubs, as a marketing strategy use women to pull guys in the club. Men who pay for bottles. So napaka hyprocrite naman ng reasoning nila.

Sana alam ng owners na di bobo yung mga tao. At sana yung mga tao, hindi din sila bobo enough to continue to patronize these establishments.

  41. It's pretty simple I think for these establishments. If a bar will allow a lot of transgender or loud crossdressers inside. The bar losses the customers or the patrons that they want. They have to control the mix of the clientele to maintain their clientele. Most of the patrons of these establishment do not want to see a lot of transgender or loud crossdressers in the establishment. These are just one of those taboo issues that they don't want to discuss. If you don't like what they are doing then just don't patronize them. It's their loss anyway it's then that are loosing the customers.

    ReplyDelete

    1. THIS!!! In most cases, men pay for drinks - whether for themselves, for their friends or for women. And these men do not want to see a LOT of gays/transwomen (whatever you call it) inside the club!

Admittedly, our country doesnt fully or have really had an open mind about it.

  50. Just don't push or force yourself where you are not welcome. Give some dignity to yourself. There are many other bars open for you. For sure they have valid reasons aside from discrimination. Maybe that policy involves preferences of their clients as well. Whatever their reasons are, they also need to be respected. Be humble enough to accept the fact that where ever we go, whoever we are, we can't please everyone. Respect begets respect. Be the better person. Everybody have something to lose and something to gain. Let it be their loss.

  55. No clients, no club. With that in mind, all human beings deserve respect. All. Even the ones that are not good to us. Responding badly to a bad remark doesn't make a bad situation good. It just perpetuates negative attitude. The LGBT community is a very happy and understanding crowd. No matter how badly they treat us, we will not treat them the same way. We are better than that.
