ever since nag born again si Manny, nawala ang pagka fierce nya as a boxer. tapos dami pa extracurricular during the training, bible study, autograph signing, tv guesting, prayer meeting, visits from hollywood celebrities, Manny enjoyed too much his popularity that he lost his hunger to win. Come to think of it, Floyd is not a religious person but remained undefeated and a winner. Manny is now a very religious person and since he became one he lost so many fights especially the last one. So what does this mean? Hardwork and focus are the keys to winning, not religion, Manny.
I am not a fan of Mayweather but I undoubtedly think that he won that fight.

It is obvious that Manny hurt Mayweather much more than Mayweather hurt Manny, but in boxing, that doesn't matter. The judges considered Manny's solid punches to be worth just as much as Mayweather's mini-jabs, and in the end, Mayweather landed many, many more.
Where does this leave us? Well, loyalty is defined not by those who stick by us when we're at our best, but by those who are still with us even when we're down. Manny Pacquiao entered this fight on his opponent's terms, with a massive 5 inch reach disadvantage, and yet he still fought with all his heart. He is not the boxing champ tonight, but in my mind he is still THE champ, and I know many of us are still proud to call him our own.
One more thing: please don't be angry about tonight's outcome. In the end, the sport of boxing is just a game. Mayweather played by that game's rules perfectly, but Manny fought his heart out. Let's be happy instead that we have a hero who's willing do to that for us ..

DeleteVery well said from our mayor osmena : i was never known for saying the popular thing, and I'm not going to start now. Boxing is a sport, and tonight Floyd Mayweather won in the sport fair and square.
DeleteIt is obvious that Manny hurt Mayweather much more than Mayweather hurt Manny, but in boxing, that doesn't matter. The judges considered Manny's solid punches to be worth just as much as Mayweather's mini-jabs, and in the end, Mayweather landed many, many more.
Where does this leave us? Well, loyalty is defined not by those who stick by us when we're at our best, but by those who are still with us even when we're down. Manny Pacquiao entered this fight on his opponent's terms, with a massive 5 inch reach disadvantage, and yet he still fought with all his heart. He is not the boxing champ tonight, but in my mind he is still THE champ, and I know many of us are still proud to call him our own.
One more thing: please don't be angry about tonight's outcome. In the end, the sport of boxing is just a game. Mayweather played by that game's rules perfectly, but Manny fought his heart out. Let's be happy instead that we have a hero who's willing do to that for us ..

ReplyDeleteMahirap talaga tamaan si maywheather kasi galaw ng galaw siya. Manny is used to fighters na hindi na galaw kaya siya nahirapan kasi he has to punch while chasing Maywheather. Pero sana Manny just took the risk starting from the 10th round kasi talo na siya when the 9th round ended.

ReplyDeleteTanggapin na lng na talo talaga si Manny sa laban na ito. He gave most of the punches but it was Mayweather who had most hits. Kaya sa scoring palaging naghabol si Manny. Knockout lng talaga kailangan para matalo si Mayweather kaso ang hirap maknock out kasi ang galing umilag. Pero the real fighter is the one who is not afraid to lose and that is Manny Pacquiao. With regards to Mannys' fairh, sana hindi masyadong mag exaggerate sa paggamit ng pangalan ng Panginoon. He was so confident na the Lord will deliver FM to him bur look at the result.

ReplyDeleteSi Manny, he fights to please the audience, kaya sobrang aggresive niya sa ring. He wants to give the audience a good show. He's an offensive player kaya nga siya sumikat ng sobra diba? Kasi di siya natatakot lumapit at makipagbugbugan with his opponents.
Si Mayweather naman, on the other hand, is all about the boxing. Kaya ayaw siya ng mga fans. Kalkulado niya ang mga kilos niya. He's a defensive player. Natural naman talagang kailangan niyang dumepensa (patakbo takbo sa ring) kasi alam niyang malakas sumuntok si Manny. Mahirap na baka mapuruhan siya diba? Kaya ang nagawa niya is to work on his advantages which is the arm reach amd defense. Tumatakbo siya then after than nasusuntok niya si Manny. Unfortunately, from mas marami talagang "powerful" punches and jabs na nabigay si Mayweather kay Pacman.
I'm a Manny fan but saying na "dinaya kasi producer si Mayweather" is just wrong. Maybe dapat mas magkalapit ng konti yung points but this match goes to Mayweather.

Hindi naman siya counter puncher pero bakit hinihintay pa niya na si Maywheather ang sumuntok kahit nasa ropes na si Maywheather. Parang pareho silang takot sa isat isa. Mas accuarate lang si Maywheather when he throws his punches. Sana Manny worked on cutting the ring para hindi masaydo makagalaw si Maywheather.

How can you be considered good if you just play safe? Strategy? Well that explains why Pacman still gets the respect from people. ( MAJORITY ) He fought and gave a good fight compared to the one who just played safe.

after this fight, it obvious na hnde ka-level ni manny si mayweather. he is much better than manny. mayweather was boring as heck, but he put on a defensive boxing master class and manny can't do anything about it.

ReplyDeleteDapat kasi ipabilang sa mga rules ng WBC 'yong hanggang anong bilang ka lang pwedeng mag-hug and run na kapag sumobra ka na ay may point deduction ka. Kasi for example kung 'yong dalawang boxer ay ginagawa lagi 'yan per round ay wala ng mangyayari dahil puro hug and running away na lang ang mangyayari. 'Yong score board ay halos hindi na uusad. So, dapat irevise nila yong rules nila hindi yong unlimited hugging and running lagi para hindi boring ang boxing!
