I don't really like Bianca, but I wish she stood up to it na lang. Liza was very wrong on this, and so many people already called her out to it. She really should've been mindful of the things she tweeted, most especially because her fans are mostly young people whom she can very easily influence. I'm very disappointed with her, but hey, she's still a minor naman. Let's give her a break, but I really hope she learns big time from this.

DeleteAng mas nakakaasar sa issue na ito. Kung sino pa ang matatanda sya pa ang di marunong makaunawa. Nagkamali, nagsorry, nagdelete tapos aawayin pa din. Sino ang mas unclassy sa ganong attitude? Ugaling Nathaniel ba kayo nung 17yrs old kayo? Kung may pinaglalaban talaga, di sana nasabihan ng maayos si Liza kesa binash. DeleteAlam mo, yung iba kasi, puro keyboard warriors lang. Hilig mang-sita, hilig mag-lecture sa twitter pero tanungin mo kung anong action nagawa nila para sa advocacy nila, wala naman. Tweet lang ang alam. Eh kung ginamit nila yung energy nila para talaga sa advocacy na pinaglalaban nila, maybe people will take the, seriously.
Deleteako naman nasayangan. kasi instead of shaming the kid, they could've taken the smart way (tutal press release nila na mas smart sila, duh) and called her out in a nice way and sway Liza to their side, hindi yung inaway. sa image ni Liza ngayon, sana mas "nagamit" pa sya maging role model din para mapalaganap ang advocacy nila. sayang lang. inuuna kasi ang emotions, oa naman. sorry not sorry.

ReplyDeleteLesson learned. Cowardice takes no gender. We should taught this younger ones a knowledge of wisdom. So this won't lead them through trouble and be more responsible for of their acts. Sadly, apology or forgiveness don't free us from the consequences of our wrong doing.
ReplyDeletesa observation ko, madaming tumawag na gay Kay mayweather sa mga social media sites pero coming from ordinary people lang parang first time ata na sa celebrity nanggaling yung ganung term kahit international artist even mike Tyson na di kuntento sa laban walang nabanggit na ganon. I feel bad for Liza kasi na bash sya dahil dyan.

DeleteAng ironic lang for those people who called her out. They judged the kid and called her names like homophobic. mysogynistic, etc just for a tweet she made, apologized and took responsibility for. Parang mas diniscriminate nila si Liza knowingly and intentionally, nahusgahan na buong pagkatao.

ReplyDeletemaybe because she apologized quickly too. and tbh, factor ko na ang age ni Liza, she's just 17 and first offense. It also helps na there are stories of her being kind/humble. hence easy to be forgiven.

ReplyDeleteI know it's 2015 already and we should stop using "gay" term as an insult etc. but if you're reading the feed on twitter yesterday napakarami ang nagtweet ng ganun, it just so happen na sikat si Liza and ayan binully na agad ng mga netizens na akala mo perpekto. Liza apologized already and for sure she'll learn her lesson from now on to be more careful on what she posts.

"I feel so gay today." Does that mean I'm discriminating? Really. There was nothing wrong with what she said. People have their panties jumbled up over the usage of a word. Now you're censoring people's choice in words? Wow. If they are so against that word then maybe they should rally against it and make it a completely obsolete word. Words evolve. The problem with some LGBT groups is they think the whole world is against them. You're not really helping the cause when it's you trying to censor people's freedom of speech.

ReplyDeleteI was never a fan, just find her beautiful, that is all. But base on her tweets, I'd say she got me. Kudos to her for apologizing, and sincerely, mind you, which is very rare these days. That's what matters the most. And really, you all did call mayweather the same some time or after the fight, yeah? and were you sorry? I thought so..

Hindi porke ginamit yung word na "gay" as pangddiss eh hate na nya ang gay or whatever it is that they're trying to put into her words. Pwede din namang gamitin yung word na girl, boy, woman, man, in a derogatory manner ah, depende kasi yan sa context ng sentence. Wag nyo igeneralize juicemehh! Dami kasing self righteous.
