Isn't She Lovely

Stardom can be both a blessing and a curse, something that can easily make or break any star. It can make a monster out of a shy upstart in record time or in rare cases, be humbled by it. But stardom can only consume you if you allow it to. Certainly, fame and success alter a celebrity’s character in a big way.

Locally, we often hear of young successful stars who cannot handle fame and thus have become celebrities with big attitudes. They who come from quiet, simple backgrounds, but with fame and money at their disposal, have become brats and difficult to deal with. They have suddenly acquired big egos, feeling a false sense of entitlement in everything like the world owes them big time.

That is why, it feels like a breath of fresh air, albeit rarely, when we hear of some few big celebrities who are oozing with kindness. These stars take off their status to make a difference and make things easier for the common people. Blessed are the parents of Beautiful Star BS for they have raised someone who’s a cut above the rest.

BS and family were having dinner at an upscale restaurant in the metro. As they were happily seated and eating, the waiter accidentally spilled the drink on BS and her food, staining her dress in the process. The waiter reportedly turned red and was profuse with apologies.

Fortunately for him, BS did not get mad, not at all, she even told him that it was okay and that she would just change her outfit. BS then sent her PA (personal assistant) to get her clothes from the car. Shocked, the waiter wouldn’t know what to say, except told BS that he would replace her food - but she refused. It was learned that BS refused because she was worried that the waiter would be made to pay for the cost of the food.

Everyone was just blown away, what they witnessed was just too good to be true. They know that BS is kind and humble, but never thought she was all that and more. Who says that one can’t be beautiful inside and out?
