Very well said from our mayor osmena : i was never known for saying the popular thing, and I'm not going to start now. Boxing is a sport, and tonight Floyd Mayweather won in the sport fair and square.
It is obvious that Manny hurt Mayweather much more than Mayweather hurt Manny, but in boxing, that doesn't matter. The judges considered Manny's solid punches to be worth just as much as Mayweather's mini-jabs, and in the end, Mayweather landed many, many more.
Where does this leave us? Well, loyalty is defined not by those who stick by us when we're at our best, but by those who are still with us even when we're down. Manny Pacquiao entered this fight on his opponent's terms, with a massive 5 inch reach disadvantage, and yet he still fought with all his heart. He is not the boxing champ tonight, but in my mind he is still THE champ, and I know many of us are still proud to call him our own.
One more thing: please don't be angry about tonight's outcome. In the end, the sport of boxing is just a game. Mayweather played by that game's rules perfectly, but Manny fought his heart out. Let's be happy instead that we have a hero who's willing do to that for us ..
This is the best comment Ive read today. Thank u for posting this. Many people seem to forget that this is just a sport afterall. Whether one roots for Pacman or Mayweather has nothing to do with their loyalty to the country.
I wish one day, people would take this as it is.. a sport, a game, a boxing match. Something that can give us inspirtation through the heroes of these games but never be defined by the results of it.
1:39 and 2:39 si Manny everytime na may fight, pinagmamalaki nya Pilipinas, dinadala nya yung bansa natin. Unlike ki Mayweather na wala sya paki sa bansa nya, ultimate goal nya is winning. So yes, parang traydor na din mga Filipino na isinusuka si Manny. When you root for his opponent, it's like rooting for another country instead of your own.
@12:42 Anong mga quotes yan??? Kanino mo nakuha ang mga katontahang yan?! Kung its not abt. Winning e bakit pa nagkaroon ng competition at me winner sa huli!!??? E dapat wala ng competition practice nlng!!! Kayong mga makapagquote Lang at maipost ng Hindi muna intindihin!!!
Win or lose manny got my millions of respect.. A humble man, a good son and good provider for the family. For me your the greatest fighter.
Pulgas nlng?!
Delete2:25, anong connect ni fulgoso sa topic? Mema ka lang beks? Lol

DeleteBeing a champion is not about winning the fight! It's about how you put up a fight!
