    3. Because of equality.

      Delete
    4. Because of the legal rights of married couple, like conjugal properties, etc. In the end it all goes down to economics and not ideology. LOL

    5. Di naman assurance na magpapakasal di maghihiwalay. Equality lang siguro tinutukoy jan. Bakit straight couples lang pwedi?

    6. Paki mo naman kung gusto nila magpakasal. Equality for all!

  2. Wag na. Tama ng tanggap sila ng society. Spare na lang the sanctity of marriage. Woman and Man lang po iyon. Gays can love and live together like husband and wife. The fact na wala ng stigma ang pagiging LGBT is a maturity of society already. Dun na lang muna tayo please...

    1. Teh, some things will have to change whether you like it or not.

    2. I used to feel the same as you. That was before I became more aware as to why exactly the LGBT is fighting for marriage equality. Marriage is a sanctity, that is true. But a marriage certificate is also a legal document. Married couples have legal rights that should also be given to same-sex couples. This includes insurance benefits, pension, and many many more. The legality of marriage has nothing to do w religion. It has all to do about rights. And everyone deserves equal rights.

    3. Ano namang pakeelam niyo kung gusto magpakasal ng same sex? Apektado much talaga kayo? Di ba kayo nakatulog at nakakain sa ganap? Equality for all!

    4. ONE of the reasons is LEGALITY.

    6. I don.t think so. Tao lang nagpu.push nyan. Quit your faith kung ganyan ka.

    8. The sanctity of marriage is based on love and not on the gender.

      Delete
    9. Kung walang stigma, 12:21 then why discriminate?

In Christianity, Love is the fulfilling of the LAW. That's why the Lord said if you love Me, keep My commandments. And the commandments of the Lord of the Bible is against homosexuality. The kind of statement you have is made so that those committing the 'wrong' act won;t have a feeling of guilt. It's a motherhood statement. It is baseless! Try again!

    12. i don't agree with church wedding for gays, but go for all the legalities. so pwede pa ring makasal by human laws. sana.

    3. I agree 12:29. If Leah is advocating same-sex marriage, that is fine by me; however, I am not OK with her twisting the word of God. Since she quoted the verse about loving God as the greatest commandment, she should know that loving God means obeying Him.

      Delete
    4. I so agree. I don't have anything against LGBT and whatever Lea's advocacies here, and not trying to be holier than thou too, but the verses are so twisted. di naman pica pica ang bible.

  8. Ano bang problema Lea? I'm sure all your gay friends are rich and able they can leave this country and get married pronto. If you're a Chrisitan like you say you are rerespetuhin mo ang belief ng ibang bansa. And stop being Ms. Know-it-all. Ang pagiging arogante mo nakakawala ng respero. Kain ng humble pie paminsan minsan.

    1. Yes but Lea Salonga is not fallible. In humanistic point of view, yes her belief would be accepted. But the Bible clearly condemns homosexuality (Rom 1:26-27; Lev. 20:13; and more), especially those who commit sodomy. Clearly she doesn't know the Christian teachings. Christianity is not for the glorification of humanity, it's for the glorification of God. Maraming so-called acceptable practices ng mga tao, like homosexuality and fornication ay mali pa rin sa Biblia. Kahit accepted ng lipunan, it doesn't make it right in the eyes of God.

    4. Christian means a follower of Christ, not a religion. And his/her lmrelationship with Christ is defined by his/her faith.
Bible is a ma's interpretation of God's words. And being man's interpretation, it is not absolutely perfect. Try to recall if not research what early Christians only wanted to include in the new testament...

  22. and---why would she lose friends for this? she's posted and given her own takes to a lot of things. why does she think gay marriage is different from the rest. i think she's being a H, too insincere about this subject.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Why do people make such a big deal out of gay marriage. I am not for it, but it does not mean i despise it. It is against my values as an individual, and I do not promote it. I just learned to respect others' choices and learned to co-exist. I think that is all there is that we have to do. To be more accepting and tolerant of one another. The more we make it look like it is something that has to be fought for, the more you are attracting negative responses. Why can't we just be more subtle about it. People nowadays are more accepting. C'mon, gay marriage is not an issue anymore!

  28. I agree. Isa lang yan. lalo na't they cannot even be even considered as a common law couple.

    ReplyDelete
  29. I actually agree with Lea... Not because LGBT are.seen.doesn't mean they are accepted. The rights and priveleges bestowed to heterosexuals are not given to them.and yes, when you deny or even think a person don't deserve the right to marry or have the same rights aa you do, that's discrimination

    ReplyDelete
  30. Umaura na naman ang nagmamagaling na Twitterera. LOL

    ReplyDelete
  32. Dear Leah, it's ok if you want to push for the right of gay couple to get married, but you can not dictate the state nor the church to bend their knees to your wishes. Lastly, you do not bash those who oppose your views as we are all entitled to our opinion.

  34. In case you don't know, the west (i.e., europe and america) is still reaping the blessings of the Christian beliefs of their forefathers. Christianity ang foundation ng society nila. While it originated in the east (i.e., Israel) but it proliferated in the west. And the promise of blessings from those who believe is from generations to generations.

    1. sino ba nangaladkad sa religious aspect di ba yung advocates din. sila nga mahilig magquote ng "love one another" to justify their stand. gaya nyan si Lea magpost pa ng bible verses with her twisted interpretation para lang ma-justify ung paniwala nya. wala namang magagawa ang church kung i-approve ng state yan ang sinasabi lang nila hinding-hindi sila magkakasal sa simbahan ng gay couple.

  37. I love it when Tita Lea makes a "Political" statement but it is just a ploy to be goody goody with her new co star George Takei. George Takei is very active sa LGBT community sa US and first pick nya si Lea to be the leading singer sa kanyang legacy project na "Allegiance". Think about it.

  38. While there are stories of gays and lesbians opt to make things right by getting married still with the opposite sex, here naman pushing "gay marriage" to be legal. It's quite impossible to separate the issue between the legal and religious aspect of it. If they are to get married, how can they practice their religion when the said union is not recognized? How are they going to live their Christian lives then? In my opinion, it's a choice to be a practicing gay/lesbian. They are entitiled to common rights, yes, but to a certain extent. ***My two cents...
