Much can be said about the true character of celebrities based on their treatment of their support system, comprising their personal assistants, yayas, househelp, drivers, among others. Without a support system, the daily dealings of celebrities will be in havoc, as they will have to devote time to domestic chores, instead of focusing on their careers. However, regardless of the attitude of househelp, celebrities treat them differently.
For instance, while Singer Actress (SA) might have had her share of bashers recently, no one can take away the fact that she treated her yaya nicely and even got her yaya some endorsements. In the same manner, a Highly Valued Celebrity (HV), who has wealth, fame, connections, and bashers, too, is known for her kind treatment of her helpers. She even brings them to her out of town trips, sometimes even abroad. Not as famous as SA or HV, Actress Painter (AP) also treats her househelp with kindness and fairness.
Now, some househelps of celebrities are not as lucky. Some have been wrongly accused of theft or are treated with inhumane hours of working, especially drivers. Most have to live within the strict rules of households. For example, the household of Actress Host (AH) imposes a rule that all househelp should buy their coffee, sugar, food, and other needs. Hence, basic food items in the home of that celebrity are off limits to their househelp. Thus, the helpers have to purchase for their own consumption. Sadly, the said celebrity is not poor, and is considered as a competent host despite her many faults in the field.
So, why can SA, HV, and AP treat their househelp properly, whereas AH’s household cannot? Probably, the difference among these celebrities is the attitude towards wealth. SA, HV, and AP were raised in environments where generosity was something that was natural, and not a matter of wealth.
SA and HV were all born in well-to-do families, and had they not started careers in showbiz, they would still be comfortably living. For AP, although she was not born in a very rich family, her parents stressed respect for their helpers, and she never forgets to look back to where they came from. Hence, her elegance reverberates because of innate kindness. By contrast, the wealth AH is enjoying is the accumulation of shrewd career deals, long hours of work, and often overexposure in media. Despite stories that AH’s family was already well-off even before she started her career, there is no doubt that it was through her struggle that her family gained wealth and power.
Goodness is about character - integrity, honesty, kindness, generosity, moral courage, and the like. More than anything else, it is about how we treat other people. – Dennis Prager

ReplyDeleteSA- S; HV- K; AP-?; AH- T
ReplyDeleteSA - S
ReplyDeleteHV - K
AP - S
AH - T?
I can understand where AH is coming from. AH's wealth is nowhere near the worth of SA, HV and AP plus she has a family to look after but there's a difference between being on a budget and being mean. I hope she at least pay her helpers well.
ReplyDeleteto the point na pati food sila mag shoshoulder? hindi kame celebrity and mayaman pero kung ano ang ulam namen yun din pina pa ulam sa kasama sa bahay. kung magkakape sya same din sa kape namen. even if she pays them well sa necesities lang mauubos na instead na galing na sakanya.

DeleteSA - S
ReplyDeleteHV - K
AP - H
AH - T :)
ReplyDeleteI AGREE! TRUELILI! WATERLILY! Super Pangit ng Feslak! Super Pangit din ng Ugali!
Deletebinabayaran ang artista kc magaling sila for whatever they are expected to do at hindi dahil maganda ang ugali nila. This explains why T despite her attitude is given priority by her network. Kung ikaw capitalist or businessman ang concern mo lang magpapasok ng pera so T is doing that for the network.
DeleteSA - S
ReplyDeleteHV - K
Lol

ReplyDeletet? clue pls.
ReplyDeleteT, the wa-class host.
ReplyDeleteSi Ap i guess si S Kasi.sya lang lam ko mahilig magpaint bukod kay hV is K Ah is T
ReplyDeleteThis is a matter of preference. Some people pay their helpers more to cover the purchase of some of their basic food items and toiletries. This actually works well with helpers because they get to choose their brand preference and may even opt to buy the cheaper ones to save money instead. This is not unusual among moneyed people.
ReplyDeleteRationalization of a fantard.
DeleteNot unusual doesn't make it okay. Treating them like they are less worthy individuals is wrong.
DeleteThe BI didn't state that they were paying their help a higher salary or giving them a monthly stipend to cover the basics like coffee, toothpaste, etc.
DeleteAnyway, movie/tv stars tend to show off the free loot they get from the companies they endorse or from generous companies willing to recruit them as brand endorsers. How much tubes of toothpastes or bar of soaps can these artistas use. Surely, they can share that with their helpers with more to spare.
True. Yaya namin before mas okay to.
DeleteTrue!
DeleteSA - K HV - K AP - ? AH - C
ReplyDeleteSi t ba to?
ReplyDeleteSi NStar at K yung unang dalawa. AP is not H kasi not rich daw ang family. So baka si S. AH unang naisip ko si A dahil "overexposure" pero dahil sa mga comments at title ng BI, baka si T nga. Oh well. Papel. Masama talaga ugali ng merlat na iyan. - Baklang Barista sa suki nyang kapihan
ReplyDeletelahat ba naging host?
Deletesi A ka dyan! obvious namang si T ang over.expose dahil sia na ata ang host sa lahat halos ng shows ng KAF...A A ka pa dyan!
DeletePansin ko lang may friends ba siya? As in mall, lunch out with friends, out-of-the-country with friends, etc...parang wala...
Deletesi T. if there's smoke, there's fire...
ReplyDeletemore clues for t pls..?
ReplyDelete1.
4. Naranasan kong abusuhin ng mga katulong. Bigay dito sakop sa lahat. At the end, tatraydurin ka. Much better na magset ng line between amo and katulong.
24/7 access sa ref - eat what you see and what you like. Same sabon, shampoo conditioner pati sanitary napkin provided. Kalerkz!
ReplyDeleteDi kasi siguro mega rich.
DeleteYes ke wagyu o salmon keber, its a matter of treating them equally
DeleteHindi si S at Big K yung una, hindi naman sila well to do eh dati, pareho pang breadwinner. Si N to tsaka si other K.
Pls?
ReplyDeleteNot a fan, not a hater. But maybe the household help have a separate decent budget for their own food/groceries. This is common practice. The advantages of this set up are many. The help gets to priorities food items they most commonly consume. They can choose the brands they prefer. They can budget and split the leftover money. This set up also serves hygienic purposes & cultivates attitude towards respect for property.
They don't really treat their kasambahay well.
ReplyDeleteSino T? Hahaha paano?

ReplyDeleteSA - S the M HV - K AP - S? Kasi si H, mayaman yun e. Or pwede din si Laocean deap, B AH - T. Yun na!
ReplyDeleteAp -S na one of i girls HV - K SA - S AH - t
ReplyDeleteT strikes again..
Kahit anong pera nila now, they still look cheap and trying hard. Karma is digital 'ne.
ReplyDeletetwice na namin nakita si T and her fam while dining at rockwell, same thing happened habang kumakain sila yung driver at yung parang alalay nakatunganga lang. yung alalay na girl para di siguro masyado maawa sa sarili kunyari busy sa cellphone. i mean dapat iniwan na lang sa kotse or pinaghintay somewhere tutal may cellphone naman ata pareho.
ReplyDeletegrabe, sana pina-break man lang nila :(
DeleteNakakaturn off naman kung totoo to about kay T... sa mga interviews or tv shows nya kasi pag nagsalita kala mo sobrang giving sa mga tao sa paligid nya.
ReplyDeletewhat do you expect from nouveau riche, T and family are the epitome of this breed of high-nosed people
ReplyDeleteSome households really do that. Nothing really wrong as long as they are given enough hudget for these necessities. That way they buy whatever they want and cook the way they want it.
ReplyDeletesome but that is not the norm. come on those people help you day in and day out why treat them like dirt. me and my hubby are just middle income earners but we treat our kids' nannies as members of the family. they eat with us, they sleep comfortably and they don't worry about their soaps and shampoos anymore as we also take care of those expenses. it all boils down to basic respect and courtesy i must say and in return you will get their loyalty and love
ReplyDeleteWell, when we lived as expats in Indonesia, our help were extremely trustworthy, masipag, madaling turuan. I didn't give them a separate budget for food and toiletries kasi siempre titipirin nila yun. We want them to have good food and good hygiene. I buy soap, toothpaste, deodorant, shampoo, sanitary napkins in bulk at Makro. For their food, there is a what is called kaki lima, food vendor on wheels. They buy their veggies from him and I pay, no limit. My belief is, these are the people that serve as well, cook our food, take care of my kids, drive them to school. They have remained very loyal to us that even during the riots in Jakarta, none of them left us, they stayed with us and even invited us to go and stay with them in their houses just so we are safe. Ewan ko sa family ni T.
ReplyDeleteWe love our household helpers, to us they are family. They are good, decent and caring human beings. I wonder this creature that's being discussed can be so calloused.
ReplyDeleteI have three house helps. I pay them a thousand more than the minimum wage set by the kasambahay law. I even pay for their SSS, Phil Health and Pag-Ibig employees share hindi pa man batas ang Kasambahay Law. No deductions from their monthly salaries. But their toiletries are their own expenses na.
ReplyDeleteBaka naman malaki ang pasweldo.but at least libre na lang sana ang kape.helpers wake up early to work and retire late.theyre working more than 8 hours.
ReplyDelete
