Usually juice is around $4-5 and coffee is $3-4.
Seriously, for a restaurant in the US, that is a normal price. Kung totoong laking US siya, he should've known that and he shouldn't have converted the price. Unless, otherwise, di totoo yung claim nyang laking Tate siya, or if totoo man, fastfood lang siya kumakain or nakikifree milk sa Starbucks.
Hahahaha! This is so funny! He shouldve known not to convert.
Go to most diners and you can get breakfast for $20, kasama na ang tip. In fact yung entire meal niya should not be more than $25. An omelette should be about $9 at usually kasama na either ham, bacon or sausage, coffee and orange juice about $3 each. Hello, sa IHOP na nga lang eh.
10:44 bakit mo pinipilit kumain sa isang common diner si Xian Lim eh diba may "status" sya? tapos kakainkain sya sa ganyang lugar at magrereklamo sya sa $40. ano ba yan. Di ko alam kung kuripot o shungangers
Well for celebs like him i think its cheap..but of cors for ordinary peeps thats too expensive..kurips naman c xian..pagkain naman yan e..laki laki naman ng kinikita nia noh...gusto naman nia freebies lahat...
Korek ka. I live in calif. I think pumunta siya maybe sa mamahaling breakfast place kasi kung denny's yan, that coffee should just be about $2+. Even that OJ oa sa price
well he knows the value of money . mahirap kitain ang pera no. pero for him mukhang madali lang naman kumita ng pera .diba nga sa events nya hes nagdadabog pa ,but they pay him generously pa rin
Oooooh! You should have walked in your hood's 7-11 for your brekkie! You probably will not spend more than $5. But then again, that's not Twitter/Instagram worth, is it?
$40? Seriously?! For one person? That's a rip off! I live in Canada and the breakfast for one person doesn't cost $40!!!!!! Even lunch! Dinner pwede pa!!! And for people saying bad stuffs, $40 is a lot of money, Di birong kumita kaya, feeling naman ang iba jan,my cousins were born and grew up in the states but they never think $40 is a typical breakfast meal. Besides what he ordered are so ordinary, not worth it to spend $40! My mom can cook those, may tocino and garlic fried rice pa:)
5:45 he is traveling! In short he should expect to shell out some money. Masyado naman syang presumptious to think that he can get tapa king kind of breakfast habang nagttravel supposedly a luxury in itself ang travel, dapat naman may konting leeway sya sa sarili nya, to think celeb sya. lahat nalang ba ng bagay kelangan gawing low cost? -airfare, accom, food?!
Did you know where he went for that breakfast 5:45? If he's in a hotel, he should expect na mahal babayaran nya. If he's gone to a much more posh place, all the more na mahal.
ay dios ko, first canada is america. Read your geography, its part of north america people. At kahit nasa NYC siay, thats a rip off dahil sa klase ng baso hindi siya pumunta sa mama haling resto.
You're stupid to think drinks are free. It's customary for servers to ask right away what you want to drink. Even if you order just water, you'll pay for it.
6:12 ang point, hindi tayo ang pinaguusapan na kakain ng brekkie. si xian lim. na supposedly kumikita enough to afford a $40 breakfast while on vacation in the US! heller!
Some people don't see the light of this post.Nagpapatawa lang si Xian and If I know majority ng nandito kahit kayo sa shoes ni Xian magugulat din kayo sa price ng breakfast niyo kahit nasa States pa kayo.So much negativity around!
ang tanong saan sa US at saan ka kumakain? lahat naman ng lugar may mga levels noh, mapa amerika pa o europa o asia. from simpleng 7-11 to five star restaurants may hierarchy of pricing! Know the place wag sabak ng sabak tas magrereklamo sa price!
For sure mamahaling resto or sa hotel sha Kumain...
Oh come on. He ws just being sarcastic on his experience. The skipping lunch or dinner has been used by most people as an idiomatic expression once they feel they got ripped off. In the Philippines is worst. Last time I ate in a famous local restaurant, I was charged for the hand wipes which was given to us after we had dinner. What a shame.
Saan ba sya kumain? 1 sausage $8? Omelette $17 na? Saang lugar ba itetch?? Hawaii ba yan? Mahal huh!
The sales tax is 3.52 percent...hmmm, I'm curious which State is the U.S. this establishment is located. In the SF Bay Area, the sales tax is 9.50-9.75 percent. Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Xian grow-up in Daly City, CA? I'm inclined to think that he's just thrifty, but not necessarily cheap. So, don't judge him too quickly as a cheap person. When you start earning your own money, you'd learn to watch what you spend on everything, too. Plus, I think he only said that in jest, so lighten up guys.
$40, for me, is too much for a breakfast kahit di mo ito i-convert sa peso. Taray ng mga commenter dito. ang yayaman.
For a whole week gumagastos kayo ng $280. In a month, $1120 value ng breakfast nyo. Breakfast palang yan ah. Pano nalang kaya pag kasama ng dinner at lunch.
Plus, renting a condo is around $2000-$2500. Meron din namang $1500 for an apt. But since a $40 dollar breakfast is nothing to you, I'd assume that you are in the former.
Expenses niyo is around $3K every month. (Excluded pa ang expenses para sa foods ng dinner and lunch, car insurance, and electricity etc..)
But this must have been an expensive place that you don't go to everyday, tapos kinwenta? What's his point? This must be a place na some other actors from Pinas would have been proud to have breakfast at. Sana nagpa-picture na lang sya with his elegant and high-poised pose. It's all in the attitude Ateng Xian..
6:12 this brekkie is not going to be his daily life, HE IS ON VACATION. he should allow himself to splurge since gumastos na sya makapagtravel dyan and it looks like he intended to do that, by not eating in a fast food resto. tapos he complains about the price. isn't it ironic that he is a well-earning model/celeb, goes on an expensive vacay in the states, elevates himself by not eating in a cheap place, then complains about normal CAFE/BRASSERIE prices? wag mo kasi icompare sa normal na mamamayan na nakatira sa amerika.
(coffee, oatmeal, eggs, bread, sausage, banana ) open for everyone.
Nagrereklamo sa $7 at $5.... kamusta namang traveller itey? Kakahiya. If you can't afford to travel properly, don't travel. You have to try and live as a local to get the full experience of a place. Kung di mo afford wag na lang! My gosh, hinahanap ang Philippine prices sa foreign land.
Even locals won't pay $40 for breakfast. That's plain stupid. Stop being a know-it-all kasi obviously hindi ka pa nakaapak at nakatira sa ibang bansa. And there's no problem being conscious sa prices.
I'm not 11:59, bu I'm from the U.S. Hindi normal kahit sa ilang restaurant yun, pero I'm not sure kung saan sya nag breakfast, pero kung sa hotel specially dun sa Hilton or Hyatt, ganyan ang price ng breakfast.
Must be slow day for Xian. Gosh, so stupid.
It may be hotel breakfast. But I don't blame him since that is expensive for breakfast alone. Anyway, I understand where he's coming from since he has openly talked about being poor way back. At least he knows the value of money. There's nothing wrong with being frugal especially if it's hard earned money.
well if he had breakfast at those revolving resto to see the ambience or 360 cityview, chances are you will spend this much coz you pay for the place, not necessarily the drinks, coz people tend to stay more hours in places like this after the meal. So refill more often than not is requested:)
Jeez xian, that post is soo cheap. Nakakahiya Kay Princesa chinita. Echoserang paminta
Sana kasi s libre Ang mga artista! Ayan kasi daming fantards kaya pag nagbayad nabibigla. So ayan xiana alam mo presyo pasalamat ka sa fans mo nxt time. Wag suplada.
its a rip off! and its not a high end resto...if it is, the glass should not look like that and the printed receipt looks like from dennys or ihop. probably he ate somewhere in california (he has a concert there right?) where a lot of tourists go wherein the food is overpriced.
Lol!
Usually juice is around $4-5 and coffee is $3-4.
DeletePlus the omelette and sausage ndi reasonable ang price!!
DeleteWhat a strike soil act!!!
ReplyDeletehahaha strike soil indeed ekat!
DeleteIba ang kuripot sa nagtitipid.
ReplyDeleteIba din klase ang "sakit" nya. Hahahah
DeleteSeriously, for a restaurant in the US, that is a normal price. Kung totoong laking US siya, he should've known that and he shouldn't have converted the price. DeleteHe's just being Chinese.
Delete1:10 AM. No, that is not the normal price! $17 for an omelette??? $4 for coffee and $7 for orange juice? baka sa touristy area or sa hotel pa.
DeleteHello! Go to most diners and you can get breakfast for $20, kasama na ang tip. In fact yung entire meal niya should not be more than $25. An omelette should be about $9 at usually kasama na either ham, bacon or sausage, coffee and orange juice about $3 each.
ReplyDeleteanong pinagsasabi mong cost of living. 12$ for a glass of coffee and oranges juice is down right rip-off.
DeleteThe breakfast he had was too pricey. $40.00 at IHOP, Denny's, or Perko's is good for 2-3 people. I wonder what restaurant he went to.
DeleteYeah, didn't he grow up there? Also, it depends on the restaurant of course. Maybe he's at a hotel, and not Denny's?
DeleteThat is too pricey... he was probably in a hotel or something.. if its a resto then it was prolly a high end resto... alam na dapat nya na mahal no
Delete10:44 bakit mo pinipilit kumain sa isang common diner si Xian Lim eh diba may "status" sya? tapos kakainkain sya sa ganyang lugar at magrereklamo sya sa $40. ano ba yan. Di ko alam kung kuripot o shungangers
DeleteThis must be a high end restaurant.
DeleteNaku bakit ka kumain dyaN?!?! Conflict with the product you endorse!!!

ReplyDeleteI'm sure he didn't tip
DeleteI was thinking the same thing!
DeleteDo not forget the usual 20% tip....
ReplyDeletehindi magtitip yan. I'm sure nagtaray pa yan sa server when he wasn't informed na hindi free coffee and juice

I live in calif. I think pumunta siya maybe sa mamahaling breakfast place kasi kung denny's yan, that coffee should just be about $2+. Even that OJ oa sa price
Delete"My waiter"
ReplyDelete-yaman. May baon.
Alam na this! Indi mghhirap tong si xian. Msyado mahgpit at kapit sa pera.
ReplyDeleteWhat can you expect from someone who is a free loader. Am I right, Kimmy?
ReplyDeletewell he knows the value of money . mahirap kitain ang pera no. pero for him mukhang madali lang naman kumita ng pera .diba nga sa events nya hes nagdadabog pa ,but they pay him generously pa rin

ReplyDeleteEh di sana chicken sandwich na $1.50 from jack n the box nlang kinain mo at coffee. U cud have panda express for lunch & dinner!
ReplyDeleteI'm sure if ever nag tip to, bka $1 lang.
hahaha...i though Xian grew up in the U.S.? Of course, they're not free.
ReplyDeleteJeezzz 40 bucks is the typical cost of eating here in the Americsss..... He should have just went to McDonald and spend 8 bucks instead!
ReplyDelete$40? Seriously?! For one person? That's a rip off! I live in Canada and the breakfast for one person doesn't cost $40!!!!!! Even lunch! Dinner pwede pa!!! There's nothing wrong with being frugal especially if it's hard earned money.
ReplyDeleteThere's a big difference between being money wise than just being a professional free loader slash cheapskate!!! This guy is really annoying...
ReplyDeleteTry not to convert next time Xian, tsaka wag ka masyado masanay sa complimentary drinks, you are out the Phils, mind you, meaning out of sikat area.
ReplyDeletewell if he had breakfast at those revolving resto to see the ambience or 360 cityview, chances are you will spend this much coz you pay for the place, not necessarily the drinks, coz people tend to stay more hours in places like this after the meal. So refill more often than not is requested:)
ReplyDeleteif i know. nagyayabang lang yan si Xian.
ReplyDeleteJeez xian, that post is soo cheap. Nakakahiya Kay Princesa chinita. Echoserang paminta
ReplyDeleteIt is expensive sa kinainan nya. $40 for one person is ridiculous, it's a price for two.
ReplyDeleteDiosmio, he just posted it out of sarcasm, he gets bashed and insulted already? As if, you guys have never been ripped off at all. Get a life!
ReplyDeleteSana kasi s libre Ang mga artista! Ayan kasi daming fantards kaya pag nagbayad nabibigla. So ayan xiana alam mo presyo pasalamat ka sa fans mo nxt time. Wag suplada.
DeleteI still have Sunday's paper over here .... if you want coupons, I can send them over and I swear you DO NOT have to endorse any of the restaurants !
ReplyDeleteKapal nya ha, he likes the champagne lifestyle on a beer budget.
its a rip off! and its not a high end resto...if it is, the glass should not look like that and the printed receipt looks like from dennys or ihop. probably he ate somewhere in california (he has a concert there right?) where a lot of tourists go wherein the food is overpriced.
ReplyDeleteI wonder which posh restaurant he had breakfast...
ReplyDeleteBut the glass used for OJ looks like the ones regularly used at grease plate dinners!!
ReplyDeletesrsly? that's really the price in the US. that's like normal..
