Dear Fashion PULIS,
Less than a year ago, my friends and I discovered that a "friend" of ours had been taking credit for pictures posted by other people on her INSTAGRAM account, misleading her followers that she was the one who took the photo. As a concerned friend, I decided to confront her seeing that she started getting addicted to stealing other's posts and taking it as her own. Surprisingly upon confrontation, lies and tall tales were said. Instead of fessing up the moment I showed her concrete evidence of her stealing pictures, she claimed her phone got stolen prior and that her posts were made by her alleged thief.

However, prior to her "stolen phone incident," she had already been posting such pictures, thereby losing her credibility and add the fact that she instantly deleted her recent post to mask her deception. After my tirade, she felt betrayed, I did not because I only tried to help. As harmless as it may seem to want to gain popularity, taking credit for someone's work is still dishonesty that could become a habit and be charged with a crime. Such a shameful act must be stopped.

After a while, she mellowed down and didn't post much. Thoughts floated through my brain, thinking that she could have learned her lesson. How wrong I was! She had the gall to revert back to her old ways - posting bogus locations and trying harder to completely fool innocent people on social media. I fear I am too late as it has already corrupted her. I believe she needs help to let her see what's right.
Sincerely,
A very concerned old friend.

Well SC nga sila
DeleteLord, protect me from my friends. I can take care of my enemies. - Voltaire. Naalala ko lang. Isang social climber at isang concerned friend kuno or pwede ding naingit lang sa likes. You both get a life!
Then it dawned on me na hndi sa kanya yun mga yon. Sheeez! Sick in the head!
Deletekayo-kayo nakakarelate sa copycat ng damit. tulog na "concerned friend". thanks for giving out all the clues
DeleteCorrected by
DeleteI dont know who is more pathetic - the copycat or the letter sender. *rolls eyes*
Deleteparang pagpo-poser lang, what's new? ganyan talaga pag gusto magpaka sosyal.
ReplyDeleteName and shame the thief.
ReplyDeleteSInce nasa social media tayo, condemn the act, not the person. Over pag pinangalanan pa. Sa presinto na lang sya magpaliwanag!
Deletei agree. just condemn the act. its good to have conversation over this.
Delete
ReplyDeleteLol at the need to post this but yeah a lot of people nowadays are more concerned about their instagram feed rather than their own personal lives lol
Omg this is a FACT!!!! Some people are living their lives through instagram!!!!!!!
DeleteI agree!!
DeleteNaadict sa comments & likes which equates to their disapproval or approval
DeleteIf I know yung concerned old friend yung stealer .hahaa
ReplyDeleteAgree
ReplyDeletePublic shaming?
So that we may be aware na Baka we are posting pictures in our IG tapos this thief only posts it has hers... Mahirap intindihin?
Delete12;18 Eh ano naman? You risk that when you post online and allow people to follow you. Watermark, if you care that much.
DeleteWow. Big problem. Very shallow. What's with IG anyway? Get a life too! The above subject should seek medical help, voluntarily. Otherwise, one can only do so much.
ReplyDeleteReport her to IG para ma ban.
ReplyDeletegosh. social climber masyado!
ReplyDeleteGet a lawyer and seek for intellectual property rights
Might as well report her account sa ig para maput down yung account
DeletePangalanan na yan! Or at least give us the IG name!
ReplyDeletewhy do you need the IG name when she has a private life in the first place?
DeleteAnon 12:22 Public Lynching at its worst!
DeleteI don't think she's as much as a friend as she claimed to be. maybe she's an enemy nung girl who steals photo. Kc kng friend ka at ieeffort mo pa isend ke FP,indi k nagets ang ipinaglalaban mo...
ReplyDeleteKawawa ka... Ikaw lang ata Ang d nakaka gets... Pathetic.
DeleteAnna Allen lang ang peg!
ReplyDeleteHayaan na lang. Na-confront na, deadma pa din. E di cut ties na lang, if it bothers you so much.. Kailangan ba i-send pa sa FP?!
you want to publicly shame her and get bashed because you care alot. wow what a friend *eye roll*
ReplyDeleteCheap! Ugaling social climber ang mga ganyan.
ReplyDeleteis social climbing a crime? how about backstabbing?
ReplyDeleteAnd bashing anonymously.
DeleteYeah! If "concerned friends" are like this, who needs them?
DeleteYou should have said, "who needs enemies?"
Deleteshe needs psychological help
ReplyDeletepsychological help agad? guidance ng family at PROPER FRIENDS lang yan. saka balde-baldeng kape
Deleteguidance at proper friends? hello, ano sya elementary student? she needs help - professional help. and yes, psychological help.
DeleteFunny. me ganito pala?
ReplyDeleteThe first photo looks familiar.
ReplyDeleteThats the prob with social media. Im sure what drives this copycat to "steal" photos is peer pressure ... to impress her friends. The desire to be "in" is so great that she doesnt care anymore if it's right or wrong! Trying to pretend to be someone she's not.. thats hard. Such an unhappy life!
ReplyDeleteTrue!
DeleteWho the F cares? Is this a F problem?
ReplyDeleteThen why the F comment?
DeleteWho the !@#$ cares? Is this a !@#$ problem?
DeleteWho cares!!!!! This is not even a personal or social problem.
ReplyDeleteSuch shallow concern in life.
Get a life!!!
your attitude just shows na hindi importante sa iyo ang value ng honesty.
DeleteHahaha. I wouldn't even bother sending FP a letter. This is not a social issue. Then just settle it among yourselves. it shows how KSP you are that you have to make an issue such as this in public.
Deletedaming time ni ateng magpaka-imbestigador.
ReplyDeleteis this a B.I. in disguise? quota na ko sa isa per day. hirap na nga ko dun isa hahaha
DeleteSome "friend" you are! Ang babaw. Concerned daw.
ReplyDeleteits her CHOICE. since when does this qualify as a mental issue? parang pagbili lang yan ng fake brands. you think lahat ng sosyal hindi bumibili ng fake. o c'mon
ReplyDeleteBuying something fake is like stealing, if you cant afford the real thing why do you have a knock-0ff, justify mo pa girl yang gawain mo.. Your a social climber you just dont want to admit it
Deletewhat a great friend you are TSE!
ReplyDeleteKung concerned friend ka edi sana hinde mo na lang ito send kay FP? bakit kay FP pa?you can approach her family or close friends about this issue! Tska you called her attention for her wrongdoing right? Hinde pa sapat Yun sayo? Nga ganito Bagay Hayaan mo na Siya. Mapapagod din yan! Kung PEra ninakaw sayo or inagaw asAwa or bf mo dun kana mag reklamo at isumbong sa Pulis.
ReplyDeleteWahahahaha panalo yang comment mo! Spot on!
DeleteSana manakawan ka. Nakaka indifferent mo!
Deletemay naagrabiyado bang tao yung friend mo? may kinita ba siya sa pagrepost ng picture ng iba? or nairita ka lang niya for some reason. yung totoo, Love you!
ReplyDeletebaka naiinggit yung sender kasi sya kahit magrepost ng picture ng iba, walang likes. LOL!
DeleteIsang envious and social climber
It may not seem much of a problem pero stealing pa rin yun
ReplyDeleteKATKATERA! KATKAT pa more!
ReplyDeletei don't get why this IG user is doing this. memapost lang?
ReplyDeletei also don't get the sender, the so-called "friend". ano intention mo for sending this to FP?
Social MEDIA climber kayo pareho ! get a life !!!!
ReplyDeletejusko very poorita, kahit mag shoot ng sariling photo di pa ma afford. buti may friends pa sya. halika teh, limusan kita ng lumang kodak with free film and bag.
ReplyDeleteLagyan ng watermark para hindi ma copya.
ReplyDeleteLahat ng nagdedefend sa social-climbing friend ng letter sender, please get your heads checked. You think plagiarism is petty? That sh** is just wrong, man. If this is the only way to knock some sense into her friend then gorabells. Take this YouTuber missjenfabulous as an example, I know at one point you've heard about her or watched some of her tutorials. She steals nail art designs from small-time YouTubers and makes money off of it. She gets 100K every month for posting nail art videos that she claims she never copied. She was even featured in magazines for being a "nail art guru". She was called out but since 'yung mga ninakawan niya only have a few followers, wala din nangyari. She just keeps doing it. When a person steals pictures and videos from other people and is getting all the credit for it, that's when the public has to know.
ReplyDeleteThere is a line between exposing people who are stealing in order falsely profit over stolen property and "exposing" someone who may just have some personal issues on a site like this.
DeleteThe copycat may have some issues but I am with the rest who say the so-called friend doing this "expose" is much worse in trying to cause such public shame and damage to her "friend" instead of dealing with it in a more appropriate way.
Unless of course you advocate public shaming as the best solution to everyone's personal problems?
I do not condone public shaming, but people like the friend need to be exposed. The friend did NOT change, did she? You can only do so much until you realize you need to do something bigger to teach her a lesson.
DeletePlot Twist: Mas maraming nangbash kay "concerned friend" than kay copycat subject. Haha what's the point kasi of sending this to FP?
The mere fact that FP posted it means he feels it's warranted to be posted! Wag kang mag marunong bakit dapat I post to o Hindi... Palibhawa inverted Ang perception mo ng socially relevance!
DeleteDear Sender,
Nararamdaman ko pagiging b**** mo through my phone.
Tsk tsk
ReplyDeleteang loser naman!!!
ReplyDeleteanong account bakit d pinakita? dapat makita para ibanned
ReplyDeleteBaka naman kase the sender was also a victim kaya ganyan sya. And probably she doesn't know any other venue to air this out to kaya naisip nya na gawin ito. Masama naman talaga yung ginagawa nung poser. It might look petty to some but there are people who earn their living from the internet and this is a big deal to them because this may involve a lot of money too.
ReplyDeletePublic shaming? I don't think so.. hindi nga nakareveal ung identity..so if ever makita to ni copycat sa sarili na sya mahihiya... sna malearn nya lesson nya... pero kaduda duda din si friend ha ang effort nya halungkatin ung origs
ReplyDeletethose within their circle will know
Sign of the times.
ReplyDeletesna hinayaan mu nlng db...
ReplyDeleteSkewed Ang perception ng society! Nakakalungkot.
ReplyDeleteI hope we stick to the issue and not question motives... To be objective than critical of intent. Alam naman natin masama Ang plagiarism but we'd rather attack the sender. Pano kung picture mo yung ninakaw and posted as hers?
Very true 12:17.
DeleteI know, right. This is stealing.
Deletekaya dapat put watermark on your photos.. so nobody can claim it..
ReplyDeleteSorry na pero, ang babaw
ReplyDeleteGawin ba namang sumbungan ang fashionpulis... my gosh naman...
ReplyDeleteAnong pinaglalaban mo teh??
ReplyDeleteThis is a sad story. Your friends betray you on the cyberspace, and you, on the other hand, are losing touch with the reality of your own life. You even need to steal pictures to create a make-believe story for people to see. Sad indeed.
