After a string of grand celebrity weddings, 34-year-old singer Kitchie Nadal made a statement when she wore a ready-to-wear wedding gown which only cost P799.
According to Nadal’s close friend, rock journalist Nina Sandejas, the singer bought the white tube dress for her wedding in a boutique at a Makati City mall.
Sandejas said the story behind Nadal’s wedding should show all brides around the world that sometimes it’s about the woman and not the dress.”
The “Huwag na Huwag Mong Sasabihin” singer wore the dress when she tied the knot with Spanish boyfriend Carlos Lopez in an autumn-themed wedding held at Hacienda Isabella in Tagaytay last Feb. 26.
Nadal also did her own make-up, according to wedding coordinator Chinkie Uy-Agregado.
Uy-Agregado praised the singer for being the “most rock and roll yet cheer bride.”
“Did her own make-up and collaborated with her cousin who’s a make-up artist just before she left for Tagaytay from her house in Makati. Arrived in the venue hours before her wedding, wore her wedding dress and got married,” Uy-Agregad said.
“Ikaw na ang pinaka-rock and roll yet chill na bride na kilala ko!” the coordinator said.

ReplyDeleteGood for her shes budgeting.. Im not against with people who wear expensive gown or cheap gown.. I mean thats their wedding it only happens once in a lifetime not unless u cheat and marry another so i understand as a woman the feeling that u want the wediing to be special and u want to be special by having it grand and big and expensive.. No interfearance in my case of opinion as a woman with dignity and interity

DeleteThe wedding is not about the gown naman kaya keri lang ang 799 gown. What's important is that gusto nya yung gown.. Tsaka kahit naman ako, ayoko ng mamahaling gown kung ilulublob ko lang naman pala sa pool. Speaking of lubluban sa pool, i like the idea. Very playful. Makikita mong nag-eenjoy ang dalawa pati mga bisita nila.

sabi ng friend ni Kitchie, first fitting pa lang daw e sukat na sukat na kay Kitchie yung gown so yun na yung binili nila. i think gusto naman nya yung gown kaya nya binili. hindi naman nya siguro mindset yung basta makapag-gown lang. nagkataon lang na mura. kahit ako makakita ng saktong saktong sukat at design e baka bilhin ko na din. yung iba ipapatahi at ipapasadya mo na pero panget pa din kakalabasan.

DeleteI attended Kitchie's cousin's wedding. She was there, very chill and modest. She beautiful too! Not strikingly beautiful but has a very sweet face.

DeleteI bought my wedding gown in divisoria for less than 5k. but I still felt the most beautiful that day kc I was relaxed, all d impt people in my life ay andun and most imptly I got married because we both feel it is really about time, after 5yrs of dating at indi lng dhil sa hype. and it's already 4yrs ago, I can say i am happily married.

I cannot believe how people have changed..... Just to share I have two cousins one of them had a grand wedding but marriage turned sour and they separated after 3 years. The other cousin had a simple wedding because they opted to use the funds instead to buy their own house. 15 years after they are still together and they had Their renewal of vows in Italy. And enjoyed every moment of it with their kids and close family. Just saying!
