Actually, it is still not too late for Cebu Pacific to file charges and/or a lawsuit against her for what she did. If they plan to file a civil lawsuit against Melissa Mendez, I believe, they have up to a year to file suit. But by law, she will be accountable to paying the appropriate fines and/or even serve time for it.

For a well travelled person that you claim to be, you must already know the simple plane etiquette: stay in your assigned seat and fasten your seat belt. The first row of seats in Cebu Pacific flights are considered premium seats. You will only get that if you book early enough and pay P200/seat on top of your usual fare just to reserve those first row seats. People who are tall and with long legs (and who can afford it), will pay that extra fee just for the extra leg room. So it is unfair and a GREAT INCONVENIENCE (not the small favor that you think it is) to give up a first row seat -- just so someone can take photos of the clouds. It is not right to ask a tall person to sit at 2B (middle seat, 2nd row) or 2C (aisle seat, 2nd row) - since that person will have to bend his knees just to fit in such a tight space. As for the view of the clouds - you will NOT see the clouds on take off (unless you look UP the sky). You will see the clouds when the plane has reached a certain height in flight (about 15-20 minutes after take off) - and that is usually when the pilot gives the fasten seat belt off sign - then you can freely move around. If you were seated in 2B, you can easily lean on the occupant of 2A to take your cloud photos. There is a window in 2A also - and you can see the clouds from there also. As for your PANIC DISORDER that you claim you suffer from - and which you claim the clouds effectively calms you from, you will need a licensed professional/doctor/psychiatrist to certify that psychiatric diagnosis when you have to defend your case. If this case goes to court, every aspect of Rey's and your character and personal life may be scrutinized, criticized and discussed to no end. It is just not worth it. With regards to your age and Rey's - you were born in 1964 and Rey was born in 1966. You two are only 2 years apart. You are really not much older than him. Actually, it is still not too late for Cebu Pacific to file charges and/or a lawsuit against her for what she did. If they plan to file a civil lawsuit against Melissa Mendez, I believe, they have up to a year to file suit. But by law, she will be accountable to paying the appropriate fines and/or even serve time for it.
On the other hand, if she believes that she should be suing Cebu Pacific, then by all means, she should go for it. I'd like to see where that'll take her.

Demanda mo sya ng common assault and slander or libel (implying that their ungentlemanly behaviour is 'gay' is the same as spreading malicious rumours).
ReplyDeleteIf I were Melissa Mendez, I will accept this very generous and very Christian like offer of Rey Pamaran and just say the TRUTH - minus the tears, crying and acting. MM should realize that given the situation of what happened in their flight, there is NO WAY that she will win if a case against her is filed in court. If MM waits and Rey already files his case, it will be a very expensive legal battle from then on - and no amount of apologies on your part will be entertained at that point.
ReplyDeleteTo MM: the interviews that you have given to all media outlets (obviously without consulting your lawyer first) regarding this incident can be used against you.You just cannot make up stories to justify your actions, because in this age, almost everyone on that flight have smartphones that possibly recorded bits and pieces of the action. There will be more videos that will come out, and if you are caught in your lies, then you will definitely lose your case. Just recall what happened to that controversial case in Jan 2014, when a guy and a girl gave this interview on TV of their "version" of what happened - and that CCTV which was released later effectively proved them wrong - and all they can say is that the CCTV coverage was fake, edited and spliced. Do not let that happen to you. MM, just think - who started the trouble? You. Who physically hit/hurt another person? You. For a well travelled person that you claim to be, you must already know the simple plane etiquette: stay in your assigned seat and fasten your seat belt. The first row of seats in Cebu Pacific flights are considered premium seats. You will only get that if you book early enough and pay P200/seat on top of your usual fare just to reserve those first row seats. People who are tall and with long legs (and who can afford it), will pay that extra fee just for the extra leg room. So it is unfair and a GREAT INCONVENIENCE (not the small favor that you think it is) to give up a first row seat -- just so someone can take photos of the clouds. It is not right to ask a tall person to sit at 2B (middle seat, 2nd row) or 2C (aisle seat, 2nd row) - since that person will have to bend his knees just to fit in such a tight space.
As for the view of the clouds - you will NOT see the clouds on take off (unless you look UP the sky). You will see the clouds when the plane has reached a certain height in flight (about 15-20 minutes after take off) - and that is usually when the pilot gives the fasten seat belt off sign - then you can freely move around. If you were seated in 2B, you can easily lean on the occupant of 2A to take your cloud photos. There is a window in 2A also - and you can see the clouds from there also.
As for your PANIC DISORDER that you claim you suffer from - and which you claim the clouds effectively calms you from, you will need a licensed professional/doctor/psychiatrist to certify that psychiatric diagnosis when you have to defend your case.
If this case goes to court, every aspect of Rey's and your character and personal life may be scrutinized, criticized and discussed to no end. It is just not worth it.
With regards to your age and Rey's - you were born in 1964 and Rey was born in 1966. You two are only 2 years apart. You are really not much older than him.
MM, you are in showbusiness where the norm is good or bad publicity is still publicity - so as long as people are talking about you, good or bad, you remain relevant. Whereas Rey Pamaran is a private person, who unfortunately got dragged into this mess just because you decided that you want to use his seat 1A for your cloud pictorials.
MM, pray very hard and you will realize that Rey P is giving you a gift with his offer....take it!
