for toni, money can't buy class! for ariella, kailangan nya ng speech class. mas maganda pa mag pronounce ang aking 6-year old english speaking daughter kesa sa kanya.
I'm so glad you decided to raise your child as a native English speaker. I hope that Filipino parents should stop speaking to their children in Tagalog or any regional language, for that matter.
4:59AM so if all the children can speak English properly then what? will that make our country rich? HELLO daw sabi ng Japan, Korea, Hongkong, Taiwan, Middle East Countries and most European Countries. Are they rich because of the English language?
I also raised my son to speak in english. When he entered preschool natuto sya mag Filipino because of his classmates.
The problem with Ara is, either Filipino or English, she has difficulty or even trouble pronouncing words. May isang candidate na speech therapist from UP Manila. Ara should get her services.
My kids are raised English speaking too. For that, my 6 years old in first grade had been chosen to host one time the weekly school assembly of KG1-Grade 12. Definitely there is an edge when the kid knows how to speak English well. She's learning her 2nd and 3rd languages too in school, other than the languages of her friends.
Sorry 4:50pm, I disagree. You got a school-going kid? Then you'll know. Or face the reality. That even in abroad, albeit not in all countries, students that are good in English speaking/reading/writing have an edge. That some school offers extra help for below average or non-English speakers say something. I know, because when I filled out the form for admission, one portion asks whether the student requires assistance for English language.
Nasilihan kasi masyadong hyper. Haha.
Buti nalang may marunong mag bicol dito at mabait na sumagot.
Off? yeah kinda a little....but I don't mind it at all. In a tension pack national pageant like this, its jice to have hostess like them to laugh with once in a while.
Yes, may freedom of speech but still so inappropriate for a public servant.
He uses social media. A lot. It's not as if his views are just in showbiz, he also comments in current events whether locally and globally. For immediate info dissemination, like disaster management coordination, he uses FB for his followers. Other than that, there are two Bicolana contestants, too, which he's cheering for along with his constituents.
Masyado kang showbiz.
