Internet.org is a Facebook-led initiative that aims to make mobile Internet services available to two-thirds of the world who are not yet connected. Philippines is just the 7th country to launch the app in the world and Smart was the first telco partner to introduce it here. All you have to do is go to http://www.internet.org in your mobile phone or download the Internet.org app via Google Play to access 24 FREE websites that are relevant to your everyday lives. Facebook and Facebook Messenger are FREE with the service. This service is open to Smart, Sun, and Talk ’N Text subscribers.
None other that Mark Zuckerberg and Sheryl Sandberg of Facebook endorsed the Internet.org launch in the Philippines.
The Internet.org service and advocacy is led by Smart’s Talk ’N Text brand with Robin Padilla as the lead endorser. Want to know more about this service? Just text INTERNET to 9999.
