Showbiz veterans are one in saying that the industry is not for the faint of heart. It takes a lot of hard work and belief in yourself to even feel like you belong to the league.
It is a given that to stay relevant and grow as artists, actors must work passionately at their craft - to have a clear sense of who they are. Nothing should be left to chance for this dog-eats-dog industry has no time to wait for you.
Fellow actors and showbiz critics are unanimous in their observation that Come-backing Actress CA has been a revelation in the TV Series TS where she eats up Young Actress YA alive in their fierce acting scenes together. Looks like CA wants to really leave a mark in first milestone project given to her.
While CA walks her talk and is lionized for her performance on TS, YA seems so complacent into her comfort zone. Her portrayal is hardly felt at all despite doing lead roles in the past. Ergo, she becomes pathetic when face to face with the very convincing CA.
Critics ask why YA can’t seem to give the same kind of intensity or at least level up, when she’s been in the business far too long, what gives? Well, perhaps, it will help that apart from honing her craft, YA should also strive to improve her image aka public relations which the people perceive as anything but pleasant. Maybe that explains why her projects hardly come by.
All things being equal, you won’t land a role that four people can do as convincingly. Surely, no one wants to be in a project with someone who has attitude problems and difficult to work with. Would you want to be with a bitch in a movie set for months? Or a TV series for a season or two? It takes time to build a reputation, and starting it right makes the cut.
Someone quipped that YA is everything CA is not. Oh well, the way her career is going seems to be the telling factor - need we say more?

I dont think also hindi si K and E, si E ay magaling sa character nya in fact maraming ng nagagalit saknya, si K nmn hindi comeback actress kakatpos lng ng a, tpos inoffer sa knya to. And hindi ito ma eextend ng another 3 mos kng hindi sila effective sa role nilla... So baka nga si J at D ito.

Medyo malamya nga ang acting pero baka un ang hinihingi ng eksena, ung maldita talaga na hindi hysterical. Ang pangit lang talaga ng boses nya. Just saying.

DeleteI bet it's K & E too. I'm an avid fan of their series. Not a fan of anyone in the casts but when I watched it since the beginning, K has really been delivering her role at its best. But E is not far behind, she gives the same intensity halfway through the series. Though E is more popular, K's exemplary performance on her role made viewers stay glued. E on the other hand becomes the antagonist specially as of late. I admire both of them as actors especially in this soap. When you say drama, this is what both of these ladies give you. But in real life, I guess coz I don't know them personally, K is more pleasant than E. I salute their network for entrusting the leads to these two. Please no haters, hopefully more projects for K, and to E shes already a favorite, just be nicer and they will both stay in the biz

DeleteFirst, I don't think K is a "come-backing actress" True, this is her first major role in years but she has several shows where she played significant supporting roles prior to this show she is doing.

maganda kasi yung role ni YA (E) kaya mukang magaling, pero the way niya ideliver lalo na pag mahahaba ang dialogue, ang panget... hehe. monotone. parang may binabasa lang... mapa galit, excited, nananakot, or masaya... same lang. minsan lang lumalakas ang boses pero yung tono parepareho lang.

ReplyDeleteAng bad talaga ng acting ni E, kahit sya na ang malaki ang exposure now di pa rin nya maconvince mga tao pano puro sigaw lng. Paborito lng kc ng network kaya napapaboran. Sipsip kasi. Si K naman eversince magaling n talaga. Sa bawat eksena nya sa T, madadala ka may dialogue man o wala. Panalo n sa acting panalo pa sa ugali in real life based sa mga nababasa ko with her co-actors din. Si E naman puro nega, halatang plastic.
ReplyDeleteThis E, waley.. hindi convincing, and on top of that, she seems so balimbing pa sa isang host. Her behavior speaks volumes of her character na kahit we don't know her personally(and we don't need to) and we see her only on TV, parang ang pangit kung ganun ang attitude ng isang tao.
