Astier de Villatte candles ang gift nila keso at puso. Ewan ko lang ko authentic ba yan o cheap imitation (? yung box medyo kaduda duda) pero ang genuine version ay medyo mahal around $80 a piece.
Why change the packaging if it's the real thing? even it if was for your wedding souvenir, personalising it makes it look cheap. I don't know but I'm getting a vibe of someone copying an expensive label and pasting it on a cheap replica.
to be fair, i think it's more likely the "CH" candle was just put next to an astier candle. i don't believe the latter does custom candles for wedding giveaways. sa baso pa lang, the "CH" candle looks mass manufactured, far from astier's artisanal glass.
You have a good point 1.11AM. If this is the case then by putting it on next to the branded item, Heart was trying to deceive the public that hers is a designer candle rather than just a bog standard one.

1:10pm, DY wedding was planned meticulously from the biggest to tiniest details. Don't be delusional in thinking Heart can conceptualize ideas ahead of DY. She has a spy somewhere so she goes and get stuff done thinking she will get ahead. She doesn't realize that all her crap are rushed and end up looking amateurish and just regular craft school project.
Doesn't really matter if classy, cheap, elegant, baduy or whatever. Souvenirs are just material things and a wedding is just a one day event. What matters most is after the wedding.

If its like DongYan, Jc/ Bianca or Chito/ Neri etc... then we're all happy for them, but Heart made this a competition. Mayabang sya nung una now she realized di nya kaya.

Which is not true of course dahil ang groom ang gumastos sa lahat except for the cake. Nevertheless if that's what you think was the case, ang swerte nina DongYan dahil marami gustong magsponsor. Sad thing is, that what heart is looking for, sponsors, which unfortunately she's wanting. And her wedding is fast approaching.

I understand why Chiz feels the need to show the public that he's being very "practical" (read: cheap) with their choices for their wedding as he's a seasoned politico who has aspirations for higher office. BUT puwede bang bigyan naman niya ng kahihiyan yung babae, wag naman sana panay press release na "nagtitipid" or "tumatawad" or any other such insinuations that they have a limited budget or hindi afford ang regular or market value ng mga provisions for their wedding--it's SO TACKY talaga and so contrived and it CHEAPENS the whole wedding prep for the first time bride. OKAY lang na may limited budget, you can still have a fine wedding without trying to stiff your vendors and publicly humiliating them in the press (kesyo paano sila makakatulog if they don't give you a cheaper price dahil flowers "lang" naman yun). It is not pleasing for the bride-to-be and her family na tinitipid ng husto ang kasal para sa babae. If you want it that way, wag na isapubliko pa, nakakahiya.
For Heart, sana makita mo na inuuna ng husband-to-be mo ang public/political persona niya kaysa sa iyo. Ikaw naman okay ng okay dahil sa tingin mo tama na supilin ang mga gusto mo. This is a red flag as this will lay the groundwork for your married life. Una politika bago ang relationship ninyo. Better sort that out before you fly out to Balesin Island. Good luck.
Worth a thought Heart! It's one thing to be practical at the onset but I think she's changing her mind yet again and not want a head on collission with the dongyan wedding because she knows its not gonna happen!

Just because she didn't expect Marian's wedding to be this grand kaya this early gumawa na siya ng alibi in case her wedding will fall short of people's expectation. maganda naman pareho. yung beige and gold classic design mas uso noong early 2000s, samantalang si red, modern and fresh packaging. each elegant in its own way, and for its time.
Astier De Villatte ang give-away ni Heart. I remember mga 60-70 GBP each candle, so mga 5k PhP ata... In fair, their candles smell divine nung nakita ko sa Harrods. I wonder anong brand kina Dong-Yan?

Which is not true of course dahil ang groom ang gumastos sa lahat except for the cake. Nevertheless if that's what you think was the case, ang swerte nina DongYan dahil marami gustong magsponsor. Sad thing is, that what heart is looking for, sponsors, which unfortunately she's wanting. And her wedding is fast approaching.

DeleteI understand why Chiz feels the need to show the public that he's being very "practical" (read: cheap) with their choices for their wedding as he's a seasoned politico who has aspirations for higher office. BUT puwede bang bigyan naman niya ng kahihiyan yung babae, wag naman sana panay press release na "nagtitipid" or "tumatawad" or any other such insinuations that they have a limited budget or hindi afford ang regular or market value ng mga provisions for their wedding--it's SO TACKY talaga and so contrived and it CHEAPENS the whole wedding prep for the first time bride. OKAY lang na may limited budget, you can still have a fine wedding without trying to stiff your vendors and publicly humiliating them in the press (kesyo paano sila makakatulog if they don't give you a cheaper price dahil flowers "lang" naman yun). It is not pleasing for the bride-to-be and her family na tinitipid ng husto ang kasal para sa babae. If you want it that way, wag na isapubliko pa, nakakahiya.
ReplyDeleteFor Heart, sana makita mo na inuuna ng husband-to-be mo ang public/political persona niya kaysa sa iyo. Ikaw naman okay ng okay dahil sa tingin mo tama na supilin ang mga gusto mo. This is a red flag as this will lay the groundwork for your married life. Una politika bago ang relationship ninyo. Better sort that out before you fly out to Balesin Island. Good luck.
Worth a thought Heart! It's one thing to be practical at the onset but I think she's changing her mind yet again and not want a head on collission with the dongyan wedding because she knows its not gonna happen!

DeleteFor one thing, si heart etong gumawa ng public announcement na ganito. People wouldn't know if she didn't spill the beans ika nga. Just because she didn't expect Marian's wedding to be this grand kaya this early gumawa na siya ng alibi in case her wedding will fall short of people's expectation. At the expense of her soon to be husband. Kesyo nagtitipid, etc. In the 1st place there's no one to be blamed other than herself. Siya etong nakikipaligsahan doon sa isa. Palibhasa mataas ang tingin sa sarili kaya akala niya siya ang magwawagi, eto napala niya. Better shape up heart. Hindi important ang palamuti sa kasal. What matters most is how to keep your marriage last.

i looked at this as if i were a guest in both weddings & will receive both souvenirs. parang mahirap buhatin yung kela heart. mangangalay ako kung isang kamay lang ang gagamitin ko sa pagbuhat (yung isang kamay ko para sa bag ko di ba?). nakakasira ng dating. so mas gusto ko yung kela marian. ang alam ko lang as of feb 15, 2015 #chizjustlostmyvote

Deletemaganda naman pareho. yung beige and gold classic design mas uso noong early 2000s, samantalang si red, modern and fresh packaging. each elegant in its own way, and for its time.
