Agree ako dito. Being a Filipino, I was one of those who wished that MJ wins. Nagchi-cheer ako pero hindi ako umaasa. Pero talagang hindi pang- Ms. Universe ang beauty nya compared sa ibang candidates.
Its not the gown, not the costume, not stella.... Blame it to her front teeth!!!!! Come.on guys.. She doesnt have a beautiful face. ... Judges are not stupid, they know she has an altered face.
So as Miss Columbia..and almost all of the candidates are enhanced beauties. Netherlands doesnt have a beautiful face either but she made it to the top5.
But the gown played a MAJOR part in presenting yourself and your confidence and trust to walk that stage with your desired gown! Am sure that would add elegance and grace when you are presenting yourself! Plus she is beautiful teeth and all!
Her performance was incredible. No doubt she would've rocked and aced Q&A, but to get to that round, a proper dress was necessary. MJ did her utmost best, it's the dress that stopped her from advancing. It's not the right style nor the right silhouette for her. Let this be a lesson. Again the art of editing is imperative. Great Job MJ, you did us proud!
though she was having a hard time carrying the shuttlecock-ish dress during the prelims, she was able to show grace and elegance. so clearly, something happened backstage coz she looked bothered and uneasy during the evening gown competition. she wasn't herself that moment. she was killing it during the SS but what the H happened during the EG? SMA should pay for it!

ReplyDeleteThe top 10 were all beautiful kaya sa gown nalang talaga magtatalo. Magaganda ang gowns ng nasa top 10 kaya tagilid si MJ with her unflattering gown.
Pero ang magiging masakit para kay MJ, hindi na sya makakakajoin sa picture-taking with Venus, Shamcey, Janine at Ara...sya ung mapupulaan lagi.sya ung out of place.

DeleteThe gown was judge during that round, I saw the result #7 tayo. The gown pink could possibly change the result. Some of the judges are fashion expert Tsk tsk tsk

ReplyDeleteDifferent year have different judges. In our eyes yes MJ is winnable but sa mga mata nang hurada I guess may hinahanap Sila I want her to win but hanggang dun na lang. Hindi sa gown or national nasa judge padin yan. Peace ito Ang aking saloobin lang

Pinoy ang dapat gumawa hindo colombiano na walang alam sa kultura natin. Yan tuloy ginawang parang cake ang national costume natin pati sa ulo tinadtad ng bulaklak

ReplyDeleteI've always knew she's not gonna make it in the finals. This year has the most number of exceptionally beautiful candidates as in sobrang gaganda. Of course I'd be happy too if MJ had won, but she didn't so lets just hope na mawala na si stella araneta sa Binibining Pilipinas baka swertehin pa tayo

DeleteReally. The costume gown was ugly. Yes. Her other gowns are ok. For people to think that she lost because of her gown; really? No. I don't think so. Have you seen her face? I don't understand the recent trend in Bb Philippines having such thick make-up. Have you seen her movement, the way she talks, etc.? It's so gay like.
