Filipino designers can give you more superior and absolutely stunning gowns than your designer friend hands over to you. Yes, you are experienced, being a beauty titlist yourself, on what works. Does not mean though that you are always right with your fashion choices.

I wonder, if the gown was altered during the prelims, would the outcome be different? Kailangan lang makapasok sa top 5 eh. Pagdating sa Q&A, I think we might have had a better chance. Oh well. I was rooting for anyone but Colombia. Bitter na kung bitter.

Deletei learned from a reliable source that the gown was terrible that's why they had to alter it. veejay floresca and gary sicam (designer from davao) haven't slept the night before because they worked overtime to improve the gown. the old design had a high neckline, no corset (not form-fitting), and no details at the bottom (the embroidered flowers and beads before the tulle was added last minute bec, it was originally plain.)

DeleteFB scoop from a Pinoy audience in Ms U: Ms Russia was escorted off the stage for questioning Ms Jamaica's 4th runner up win. 2 contestants walked out when the winner was announced. Some contestants carried Ms Jamaica like she was the winner.

DeleteAside from the gown our country should send Filipina with a 'natural beauty' not enhanced by Science. No offense meant sa mga retokada and I know it's 2015 but still there's something off with retokadas. People at times may bash a photo of Ariella Arida but seriously she exudes that charm even without make up or not totally made up.

ReplyDeleteUSA deserved the crown than Colombia. Philippines should've placed at least 3rd runner up. If you'll watch the replay, sight niyo yung aura ni MJ sa swimsuit round. Sobrang confident niya, it radiates (pak!) but during the evening gown it's like she felt the pressure and lost her composure. Parang pilit na lang yung smile niya. Personally, I also didn't like how she walked. Humawak pa siya sa props. Nag mukha tuloy di siya confident bumaba ng hagdan.

Sa mga nag-amplaya kay Stella Araneta- sino kaya may hawak ng BCPI nung nanalo lahat ng mga kandidata natin? Siya din yun no. Isep isep naman pwede ba. Top 10 din naman. Seksi si MJ at confident, pero hindi lang naman sya ang maganda at capable.

philippines kasi 4 consecutive years na tayong pasok sa top 5 plus yung host city hawak ng latins. If ever nakapasok sa Top 5, MJ can easily nailed the Q and A.. Compare nyo ang gown ni colombia kay Philippines na parang bridal gown na matigas ang tela same designer..O diba me conflict of interest.
Sinabi ko na dati na parang Latina wannabe ang styling kay MJ and old fashioned. Ayun ni-bash lang comment ko. Guys accept it sa totoo lang sa top 10 puro diosa ang itsura and MJ is the least diosa among them. Diosa sya in her own rights. Yes! dahil nga mediocre lang ang candidate natin dapat bumawi tayo sa styling and gown, NC etc nya for her to stand out. Ayun nganga! hays nalang!

ReplyDeletePeople are saying that the reason hindi nakapasok si MJ sa Top 5 is because of the white evening gown that was 'ugly', but how bout in the past 4 years, puros din naman 'mediocre/ugly' yung mga gowns by Barazza for Miss Philippines, eh nakapasok naman sila ah. Let's just accept na it wasn't about the ugly gown, it's just that hindi lang talaga bet ng mga judges for the Top 5 si MJ. Yun yon..
