      Delete
    5. I strongly agree! All Filipino dapat!

      Delete
    6. FYI Miriam's gown is not a Barazza but a Halston. Shamcey's was just okay.

All the time this happens.

  8. Somebody please enlighten me why Ms Stella is the head/chairman of Miss U -Philippines when in fact she is not a true-blooded Filipina. Can't we, as Filipinos, not have the voice to complain and/or suggest to her that we are sending good representatives to the Miss U but the dresses arenot as good as what we ezexpect them to wear? Cant the Dept of Tourism (or whatever agency) meddle with?

    Paki explain, lab u!

  9. Hindi lang si Barazza ang dapat palitan. Stella should step down and let a qualified filipina replace her.

    1. Agree... Again!!! I don't get why our representative wore a foreign made gown? And i'm sure may committee ang Mis U. Why didn't anybody suggest Filipino made gown? Are we back to the Spanish era? Si Señora lang ng Si Señora?

      Delete
    2. Cause they don't care who makes the gown, who buys the gown, etc. It's not a contest of who has the nicest gown- its about how you carry the gown, how you present yourself in a gown.

  11. We are almost always about to win, lagi lang chaka mga damit. Divi equivalent! Hmpt.

  12. Totally agree!!

Mabuti pa yung Miss World candidates lately maaayos gowns nila.

    1. Lahat ng tutol kay Barraza magdala ng poster na "Barraza is Basura" o "No To Barraza in Miss U 2015" sa Araneta during the 2015 Binibini Pageant. Ano? Game? Hehe.

  14. I agree..if showbiz personalities can avail the services of well talented Pinoy fashion designers like Michael Cinco, Monique Lhuillier, Rajo Laurel, Randy Ortiz, Francis Libiran to name few, Pinay international beauty contestants must also do the same not only because they are Filipina but it's also helping to promote our country as well.

  17. sharing from missology.com

Yes, he is!!! Year in and year out Alfredo Barraza has disappointed Filipino pageant fanatics. Critics have been extremely harsh on this Colombian designer, a very close friend of Stella Marquez Araneta, Binibining Pilipinas' pageant madame.

Alfredo Barraza has been blamed for sabatoging Miss Philippines candidates with his lackluster evening gown designs sometimes deemed by Filipinos as "THE BASURA CUMBIA" creations. To add insult to injury, Mr. Barraza also designs for the reinas de Colombia (pageant queens). And when he designs for Miss Universe Colombia the gowns are always superior to that of his Miss Universe Philippines!

  19. Ano ba yan! Sabotage talaga yan!

    ReplyDelete
  20. madam should resign!!!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  21. Barraza and Stella are friends and are both Columbians. Stella owns Binibini. Binibini owns the Miss U PH franchise.

  24. Okay. Dala ako ng placcard "I-balasa si Barraza"

Saan meet up point naten, bakla?!

  25. Korek! Dapat talaga ganun kc philippines nga Hindi nman Colombia

    ReplyDelete
  26. Unfortunately, the one who makes the decisions is a stubborn Colombian!

  27. Kung gusto makatipid bg Bb Pilipinas, they can tap any Filipino designers. I'm sure they will be more than happy to make an amazing gown and national costume for free! Buti nga brining up to ni Gretchen kay Ginger kagabi sa TV Patrol.

Unless for free yun gown.

    ReplyDelete

  36. We are having this problem for several years now but up to now, Mrs Stella Araneta keeps on using the gowns of her fellow colombian designer. Maybe what our local designers should do is to offer their services to dress up our representatives in international pageants. If Mrs Araneta or the Bb Pilipinas Foundation resisted then the local Fashion Designer association/group (do we still have one?) should make a noise by voicing out their opinion to Dept of Tourism or even future Bb Pilipinas event. To complain in social media is so easy but they should do also their part in reaching out by offering their services pero kung umayaw si Mrs Araneta then gyera na ito and we will support our local designers on this issue.

  37. This is what you get when you have people who gets the position because of connections instead of merit.

    ReplyDelete
  39. I agree. I think many Filipino fashion designers would be willing to dress our representatives to international beauty pageants. Just my opinion.

    ReplyDelete
Barazza has been trashing our candidates for so long. compare nyo sa gown ng Ms. World-Phils. ang layo.
