Inspiration. Macy's was nice but Shang had a better execution. Macy's had focused on the balls, while the ID of Shang focused sa ribbons which happened to be effective.
Now, I have to ask my medical practitioner where he got the balls and ribbons. He has the same balls and ribbons hanging from the ceiling of the reception area in his clinic. I am very sure he was not inspired nor did he imitate Rustan's or Macy's. Dito po so Canada ang clinic nya. Mas maganda nga ang dating ng sa kanya kasi nag complement with a big fireplace. One comment though, after the Christmas season puede na di muna tanggalin ng Rustan's ang balls, ka theme naman for the coming Chinese New Year. Usually red and green maganda tingnan pero sa photo na yan parang may kulang ang sa Rustan's can't point what it is pero may odd. Perhaps it's the angle of the photo. Parang walang joy, walang saya.
This is Anon 1:49. Alam ko na kung bakit parang odd. Over ang ribbons and balls. Mas maganda siguro kung here and there lang ang mga balls. Sumobra ang mga balls, the Christmas trees look drab too. Di naman ako interior designer or decorator and I am just judging from this photo. From the photo, I see a Santa Claus yan po ba ang nasa gitna? What happened to the real symbol of Christmas, the nativity scene? Sa simbahan na lang ba nakikita yun ngayon? I think people who decorate Christmas must know, that for us, the adults who buy the Gifts (profits for shops and malls), the sight of santa means expenses, gastos. The sight of a nativity scene, represents the ultimate gift. Yan ang feeling na dapat gisingin this season. Parang mas nakaka feeling generous ang nativity scene kesa kay Santa Claus.
Ok imitation, at marami dito nagsasabi na mas maganda ang Macy.. Maganda naman talaga, but personally gusto ko yung sa Rustan.. Medyo naguguluhan kasi ako sa dami ng balls sa Macy, maybe it has something to do with my personality.
For me, ok lang kung kapos sa balls ang rustans kasi magmukhang overdo na...The christmas lights give more glitter and complements the red balls kaya mas maganda ang dating....Imitation man, pero mas ok ang Rustan's...And I agree with Anon 1:49, the very essence of Christmas season is the Nativity and hindi Sta Claus...Nativity reminds us of the humble beginnings of our Lord Jesus Christ.
