Tse self-serving ang mga kuno "tulong" nila no. Fashionistas are superficial lot, they only care about what is the latest trend, if you are not "cool" enough to be in their circle then you simply don't exist.
Sana di na lang nagcomment si Jasmine. Napaghahalataang di gano ka bright. To each his own diba. Kung sino man gusto bumili ng book ni Lourd de Veyra subscirbes to his ideas or at least find it interesting.
Harsh. Ironically, judging the article that way is also disrespect. I've read the imaginary speech and his point drives mainly at: Why are we being set to think that we don't look good just because what we are wearing does not conform to what the fashion industry considers as fad at that moment (yes, brand names included).
Cut me some slacks but never did the article mention anything about the fashion industry being a complete waste of time and talent.
The author was being condescending to certain members of the fashion industry by using demeaning terms and allusions for their jobs and the things they do.
Anons 12:59, 2nd and 3rd comments. Pardon if I hastily added the s without proofreading my comment. My English aint as perfect as yours as I think? But really now (and again, cut me some SLACK), aside from my grammar, what else do you understand and would want to talk about? I guess Lourd has an imaginary speech for out of line grammarians like the two of you too.

DeleteHow did you know she's not?
