What I got from the fb post & comments is that Chiz told Ongpin about the wedding date. It doesn't say anything about him asking to have the other couple's wedding bumped off. If the owner of Balesin chose to do this on his own, then it's not Chiz & Heart's fault. But if they requested it, then foul yon.

from what i heard, NOTHING was ever confirmed or committed to the people involved. In Balesin, everything has to be approved by the chairman. baka "pencil block reservation" pa lang naman yun kay cesca. in industry parlance, such reservation is as good as inquiry lang kasi wala pang signed contract and deposit paid. so if someone inquire for the same date and made a "confirmed reservation" by paying the deposit required, the pencil block reservation is automically cancelled and the event place nas no obligation to them. if cesca indeed made a confirmed reservation, balesin could be sued for breach of contract
Sabi nung owner hindi naman daw sina Heart ang nag inquire. When he heard about the engagement, siya DAW ang tumawag kay Chiz at sinabi na kung magpapakasal sila free ang Balesin sa (prospective) date na gusto nila which is birthday nga ni Heart.

DeleteAgree with Anon 1.35. Knowing it's Valentine's Day, you would ask first kung merong tatamaang event yung day na yon. I'm pretty sure aware sila na meron, they don't have to let the owner decide, delicadeza calls for not to push it through.

This island is not a public ownership therefore the owner or the company has the discretion of which events are to be approved. If cesca smiled more often, maybe id give her 2cents of my sympathy. congrats heart!

ReplyDeletebaka "pencil block reservation" pa lang naman yun kay cesca. in industry parlance, such reservation is as good as inquiry lang kasi wala pang signed contract and deposit paid. so if someone inquire for the same date and made a "confirmed reservation" by paying the deposit required, the pencil block reservation is automically cancelled and the event place nas no obligation to them. if cesca indeed made a confirmed reservation, balesin could be sued for breach of contract

Hindi naman siguro siya assumera na porquet "nag-reserved" siya ay booked na talaga yun. Cesca and her fiance are well-off pero it takes another well-off, albeit more influential and powerful couple to jinx the planned set-up of the other couple. Connections, people.
