Mas maganda pa version ni Kyla at Angeline eh. Sa totoo lang hindi maganda pakinggan. Mas okay sya kung hindi sya bumibirit kasi halata ang pagshift from chest to head voice nya eh. :(
Patti LaBelle version. No offense, I like her In fact, I am a fan, pero the arrangement did not suit her voice and range. Would have sounded great kung medyo smooth and classical yung areglo coz her falsetto is good.
too much that she ran out of breath at some point. a classic song like this should be sung in the most simple manner. the audience, after the rendition, wasn't as enthusiastic as i thought they would be.

Sorry mariah carey's version is better, and even pati labelle's( the version she sang) is obviously better. Yung tapos ng nota ay medyo off siguro sa kaba na rin, malaking piyesa kasi eh. Wag ma-pressure rachel.
Ok naman, pagod at kabado lang sya siguro, kinakanta na nya ito sa concerts nya at napakaganda naman, anyway, hindi magbabago ang respeto ko at paghanga sa kanya bilang pride ng ating bansa
I am not a big fan of her version of this song. It was a little bit over the top for my taste but I applaud her for "trying" to make this song her own. A lot of other artists have sung this song and their versions although simple are very moving which I feel is how the song is meant to be performed. Simple yet filled with heart.
I know she just wanted to make an impression with this version and I am still a fan of her work but it would've been better to keep it simple with a lot of heart.
