As a fan, I was shocked at her initial reaction which I only read through FP since I'm not very comfortable with having all these social media accounts. I admit I was disappointed at first but I did try to understand where she's coming from. When she was younger, she was popular for being a perfectionist. She practically hates it when she makes mistakes and falls short in her performances. It is true. She is her own worst critic aside from Mang Gerry. All her life, she only knew to sing. To work hard in her craft that she had very little time to entertain men and actually live her life. She was also very unassuming as a woman. She never felt comfortable when it comes to dating men she feels she doesn't deserve. There was the diva Regine and there's thia ordinary Regine from Bulacan. They can be very different personas. The diva Regine was where she invested all her life and hard work that she almost "missed the train" when time came for her to settle down. She only recently learned to relax when she entered her 40s. From what I see, there is a dilenma in her. Her self esteem was hit by the changes that happened in her life after starting her own family. She had a hard time coming back to the life she's had for decades. She's still hesitant. Changes are still happening. Moods are still swinging. Let us be reminded that this woman dedicated all her life to us her audience. We must keep an open mind about this phase she's going through. We must be patient and understanding to this woman who did nothing for 25 years but be of service to our fancies, hopes and dreams. She practically grew up from a young lady to a complete woman in the public's scrutinous eyes. This post shows what kind of person Mang Gerry raised up. A woman who flew great heights but with feet that never left the ground it always touched.

She apologized after she reviewed her own performance, realized that it was not good. She reacted too soon. But then apology accepted. She may not be the "Flavor of the Month" right now, but Regine Velasquez is Regine Velasquez. Nobody could top her. Just my thoughts.
