teh.... nasa media ako ang kontrata ng projects namin is with the ad agency, ang normal na terms is 30 days, pero sila (ad agency/photog company) ang kontrata nila sa mga tauhan nila like models , writers, directors, etc e kaliwaan.... hindi pinagaantay ang mga yun... it is expected that they shoulder these payments first bilang may patong naman sila sa mga services

My work is also in marketing including print media, and I have to disagree with you 12:05, models are paid as soon as the shoot ends. or on agreed terms after the shoot pero not after publication unless yun ung usapan because di nila concern kung mapapublish ung article or ad they were used, they are paid because their part of the deal is done.

Itong si Jeremy should probably know na di napa publish yung kanyang pictorial so bakit siya katok ng katok sa social media and everything. I am sure the issue here is that Randy and Edrick promised that the photos will be published. They "promised", para makapangshoot ng model and, I am sure, mahubaran sila at maisama sa mga "unprofessional, landi baklang bakya" posts nila. If they just talked to the models that the shoot will simply be pitched and they will wait if these will be used or not, walang issue. Ginamit lang nila whatever power they have para makapagshoot ng bagong model. And obviously, yung di pagsagot at pagignore ang malaking issue. One reply explaining everything would suffice. Walang kwenta yung sinasabi nung dalawa na kesyo minumura, kinucurse, etc. Minura kasi, kung kanino man ginawa to, magmumukang tinakbuhan na yung tao. Di lang 2000 pesos ang problema kundi pati yung promise na may patutunguhan yung pagshoot na yun.

Regardless of words that have been exchanged, if you hired someone to carry out a job and they've fulfilled their professional obligations, the employer should then in turn fulfill their obligation of paying the employee. This goes without saying in any industry or profession.

Matagalan ang proseso, minsan umaabot ng matagal, AS IN MATAGAL. Minsan nga pati yung photographer hindi nababayaran eh. Nasasabihan naman din sila siguro bago magshoot na pag napublish, may bayad, pero pag wala, wala. Hindi ako taga England kaya alam ko ito.

Hinde kayo mababayaran hanggat di na pupublish ang ginawa nyo... So even photographers, hairstylist , stylist, make up artist upto models lahat yan babayaran lang after mapublish ang shoot hinde after ng shoot... Bago kayo magsalita ng kung ano ano alamin nyo muna ang patakaran ng publishing companies.... Sometime 1-2 months or eve more bago nila ma issue ang check...

Deleteteh.... nasa media ako ang kontrata ng projects namin is with the ad agency, ang normal na terms is 30 days, pero sila (ad agency/photog company) ang kontrata nila sa mga tauhan nila like models , writers, directors, etc e kaliwaan.... hindi pinagaantay ang mga yun... it is expected that they shoulder these payments first bilang may patong naman sila sa mga services

ReplyDeleteAng tawag sa mga ganyang services is contingency services, payment dependent on the outcome of the project. Like sa ganyan, payment dependent on publication. Itong si Jeremy should probably know na di napa publish yung kanyang pictorial so bakit siya katok ng katok sa social media and everything. After all php2,000 is just equivalent to measly 30pounds based on black market rate ng Eurodollar of 1/65, Ano ba iyan ikayayaman ba niya yung measly sum after all the unkind words he published in the social media, eh character assassination na hindi naman dapat kasi with the kind of words he wrote kulang na lang gilitan ng leeg yung other party and for what for a measly 30 pounds. Have your life and move on. Para ka lang kumain sa isang not so elite restaurant in your home country.

ReplyDeleteI am sure the issue here is that Randy and Edrick promised that the photos will be published. They "promised", para makapangshoot ng model and, I am sure, mahubaran sila at maisama sa mga "unprofessional, landi baklang bakya" posts nila. If they just talked to the models that the shoot will simply be pitched and they will wait if these will be used or not, walang issue. Ginamit lang nila whatever power they have para makapagshoot ng bagong model. And obviously, yung di pagsagot at pagignore ang malaking issue. One reply explaining everything would suffice. Walang kwenta yung sinasabi nung dalawa na kesyo minumura, kinucurse, etc. Minura kasi, kung kanino man ginawa to, magmumukang tinakbuhan na yung tao. Di lang 2000 pesos ang problema kundi pati yung promise na may patutunguhan yung pagshoot na yun.
