Fly Tigerair Using Your Bancnet Debit Card

Owning a credit card has its perks, and one of them is the convenience of buying airline tickets online or through calling an airline hotline. The same perks are now availed of those who don’t have a credit card; just look for the Bancnet logo on your ATM card.

Are you a student traveller who hasn’t established a credit history yet, or a professional who would rather not pay extra for high transaction fees charged by using a credit card? What if you’re already at the counter and just realized you didn’t carry enough cash?

“Tigerair Philippines is always finding ways to make travel easier and more accessible for everyone. Thanks to a partnership with Bancnet, Tigerair now accepts debit cards as a mode of payment for when you buy your ticket. This additional payment solution grants all types of travellers the flexibility to conveniently and securely pay for Tigerair’s quality products and excellent, customer-friendly services,” says Olive Ramos, president and CEO of Tigerair.

“It is so simple and secured. All you need to do is purchase a Tigerair plane ticket using your debit card by providing the full debit card number and the three-digit security code written at the back of your card. Because of the Bancnet affiliation of your ATM debit card, you won't have to provide your security PIN,” ends Ramos.

The upside of using your Bancnet debit card is that you save more. Credit card payments come with high transaction fees, while using your debit card is for free. The sale will be processed as credit, even though the funds are pulled from your savings or checking account. In this way, Tigerair and Bancnet assure you are transacting through a payment gateway that is both a convenient and stable platform to collect and process local online payments securely and effectively.

Booking that flight is now made easier with Tigerair. Call our phone service at (02) 798 4488 between 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily, or go to our website www.tigerair.com/ph.

Tigerair Philippines is the first commercial airline to fly direct between Kalibo and Singapore. The carrier also flies to local destinations such as Clark, Laoag, Bacolod, Cebu, Iloilo, Tacloban, and Puerto Princesa, and international destinations such as Bangkok and Hong Kong.

  1. It is nice and very convenient to have that debit card option for online booking payment. However, security-wise, it is still more preferable using a credit card. If, unfortunately, card is fraudulently misused, it will be only until the credit card limit. For debit cards, entire savings can be wiped out.

  2. i think you shud get two debit or atm card.. one are for your savings and the other one should be for your online shopping thats includes buying ticket online.. The one you use for online shopping you should top it up just enough money or exactly the same price for the items you would like to buy so just in case you will be a victim of fraudaulent transaction online your entire cant be wiped out.
