According to my officemate, a possible explanation is this: The ad reaches out to its male audience, and encourages them to be a girl's Valentine (thus, Her) by using the product advertised by Christian. -G
possibly! But the ad is not effective on conveying that message. It only creates confusion. And the sad part is this undying rumor surrounding Christian's preference so yeah.
If the target audience is males, wouldn't it be better to use a female cover? That way, the tag line "Be her Valentine" would sound more appropriate without any confusing meaning. :)
tama naman ah??? wala akong nakikitang mali?! lol fernezzzz me endorsement pa pala itong oslang itetch lol at me interesado pang makipagdate kay ate lol

DeletePwede...
DeleteAh ganun naman pala... Puede! Pero at first glance nakkatawa lang
Deletepossibly! But the ad is not effective on conveying that message. It only creates confusion. And the sad part is this undying rumor surrounding Christian's preference so yeah.
DeleteIt does make sense because Christian is endorsing cologne/perfume for men.
DeleteOo nga naman!
DeletePwede. I get what your officemate is saying.
DeleteTama si teh
DeleteTama ka. Para sa mga male readers yun caption. If gusto you want to be her valentine use this product, ganyan ang explanation nyan.
DeleteTama. The product, Blackwater, is catered toward the men (men's body spray). Thus, the ad is addressing the men to be "her" (the lady's) valentine.

DeleteSi xtian kc ang endorser ng blackwater.. Un lng
DeleteI agree with that explanation 2:55
ReplyDeleteYup, it sounds like Christian is the one who said the line...
ReplyDeleteFail! Anyway, HER naman daw sya according to rumors.
ReplyDeletetama naman ah??? wala akong nakikitang mali?! lol fernezzzz me endorsement pa pala itong oslang itetch lol at me interesado pang makipagdate kay ate lol
ReplyDeleteThere's just a bi-meaning to the ad so it swings both ways. No big deal at all.
ReplyDeleteWear the cologne and be her valentine. Parang ganun ang interpretation ko, IMO.
ReplyDeleteNothing wrong with the ad. Christian is saying to the men " be her valentine".
ReplyDeleteI agree to that
ReplyDeleteGanun naman pala. Okay! Hehehe.
ReplyDeleteTamaaah, Anon 2:55. The target here are the male consumers since alak nga naman ang product.
ReplyDeleteAlak ka dyan! Cologne yan teh!!
DeleteHindi alak yung product... cologne po yang blackwater
DeleteAnon 2:55 hindi po alak ang ineendorse nya cologne for men ang black waters (fharang cool waters vagah)...
