Im not a big fan of Marian. I just don't get why it's always been a big deal for Filipinos kapag mali ang grammar ng isang tao not particularly a celebrity. Eh mas ok pa nga tayo mag salita ng english kesa sa mga Chines and europeans and also those people na first languange is english doesnt mind if mali grammar mo as long as naiintindihan ka and you can get your point through. just wondering???

Super agree with @1:04! Ang importante is naiintindihan! Mashadong nilalagay sa pedestal ang English language Dahil ang notion is pag magaling sa english e mas mataas ang nalalaman or mas superior ang isipan! Pwe! They are not the higher language but tayong mga aryans! Kelangan ng maintindihan ng buong mundo ang Tagalog!
Sometimes, I also have a hard time choosing between in and at. But I guess those two can be interchanged at times. I'm no grammar guru so I would always choose whatever sounds more correct to my ear. I encountered correct usage when I tutored my niece using her grade 1 english book, however, the rules just didn't stick in my head. There's really no problem correcting someone especially if your intention is to share your knowledge. So If you have posted the rules of its usage after your correction, I would have been very thankful to you. And I'm sure, everyone else will feel the same. However, if you just pointed out the error just to let everyone know that you are one mighty grammar perfect that should be above everyone else here, then SORRY.You do not have my respect.

Considering English is the second language in the Philippines, correcting other people's grammar does not make you a superior being. Just focus on the substance of the message and not the style.

Indeed @1:04 am Most local Filipinos don't see the bigger picture. Western People don't really care about grammar. Filipino culture when they see one tiny error and they shame them right away. mas embarrassing ang ganyang attitude.
