Hypocrisy or Honesty?

Top performer (TP) and Foxy actress (FA) have always found themselves entangled in a web of intrigues either directly or by mere circumstance. Such connections are inevitable because they move in the same network and they have been involved with similar personalities. By contrast, TP has remained quiet about her love life, whereas FA has been vocal about the men she’s dating.

Their paths recently crossed when FA was doing the usual rounds of promotions and TP was doing her weekly production number. When they saw each other in the Ladies’ Room, FA greeted TP first. TP smiled back and it seemed all was well. Perhaps, the meeting was awkward, but as players in the industry, both knew how to deal with fellow colleagues politely in the network.

After a few minutes, FA thought she was already away from prying ears, when she said something that surprised the unwilling listeners. FA expressed her surprise that TP was back as a regular in the show, and then, she nonchalantly asked if that were the result of TP not having any other project for the network. Those who heard the remark of FA thought it was callous and uncalled for. However, wasn’t FA merely expressing the truth?
