Valentina's character design is derived from Medusa, a character from Greek Mythology. kopya lang yung snake hair kay Medusa. and if you watch the 70s (or 80s) Valentina movie, ultimo petrification power ni Medusa, meron din si Valentina. The only difference is that Medusa is a monster while Valentina is a beautiful lady (with snake hair). i don't have problems with Filipino pride, but i have problems with (some of) Filipino's ignorance.
now, to answer the question. I love Alessandra's take on Valentina. actually, gusto ko nga yung snake helmet(?) niya dun sa taas. pero naging snake hair din as the story progresses. pinanood ko ang Darna dati because of her kahit na ANG DAMI-DAMING BUTAS ng kuwento
