I think Mo was just stating his opinion on the matter. He didn't cuss or say anything foul against the Miss Universe candidate. Opinion niya iyon. I read the post of Mo regarding Ms. Philippines, I don't like this guy but I'm with him on this one. Let's say na it's true most Latina's can't speak english nga pero the way na sinabi yun eh hindi nga naman maganda. I find Mo annoying but his point was spot on. Arida's statement was ignorant, it came out wrong. I know she didn't mean to offend, which is the saddest part. Just shows that she can't express herself well. That whole interview with Karen was kind of a disaster.

Ariella didn't intend to be offensive or anything, she's trying to defend herself from people bashing her because of the way she speaks. And she has a point, she just meant that it doesn't matter what language you speak, if you are able to speak english flawlessly or not, its the message of your answer (not your grammar) that matters in the pageant. She knows these things, she's representing the country afterall. People like Mo is just hyping the issue, NOT HELPING.
but the problem is the message is not clear. she should be tactful of what she say because she is the representative of the Phils. This is no longer just for herself but for the country. I just hope she will not say vague words that can jeopardize us.

DeleteI think Mo was just stating his opinion on the matter. He didn't cuss or say anything foul against the Miss Universe candidate. Opinion niya iyon. If you disagree, then you can raise your point but don't get too personal about it. I read the thread and it was Ervic who started it. He went overboard and it struck a nerve kaya pinatulan siya ni Mo. If Mo is douche, then he isn't any better. Just saying.

Let's say na it's true most Latina's can't speak english nga pero the way na sinabi yun eh hindi nga naman maganda. Mo's post started with "I don't intend to bash...." at etong Eric naman patulan ba naman si Mo? Good luck sa ating candidate ha, inshallah manalo at hindi maungusan ng latina sa competition.
ReplyDeleteI find Mo annoying but his point was spot on. Arida's statement was ignorant, it came out wrong. I know she didn't mean to offend, which is the saddest part. Just shows that she can't express herself well. That whole interview with Karen was kind of a disaster.

ReplyDeleteAriella didn't intend to be offensive or anything, she's trying to defend herself from people bashing her because of the way she speaks. And she has a point, she just meant that it doesn't matter what language you speak, if you are able to speak english flawlessly or not, its the message of your answer (not your grammar) that matters in the pageant. She knows these things, she's representing the country afterall. People like Mo is just hyping the issue, NOT HELPING.

ReplyDeleteif you're trying to impress a beauty queen ervic, then you've failed big time. i get that you want to show our miss universe that you will fight for her and defend her. however, mo twister had a very sensible point to make in posting that video. his comment was not negative towards ariella (as far as i remember he even wished her luck) and was more of a comment towards us, pointing out that we as a nation are sensitive when foreigners have this prejudice against us while we are guilty of the same towards others. mo is clearly an a**hole, but he is an intelligent one, and that i at least respect. ervic, on the other hand, just showed he is both an a**hole and an i**ot.
