Does the Publisher agree to copying concepts from abroad? I guess we should be glad Vogue and W and Harper's Bazaar don't bother complaining or considering lawsuits. Nakakahiya tayo.
Good job, Fashion Pulis. We have to police our own fashion industry against their own laziness.
Kung original pinoy yan, anne would have worn an ifugao headpiece and im sure it would have looked even better!
Almost the same sya, nakaside view Lang yung isa at medyo subdued ang lighting. Grabe, pumunta punta pa ng brazil! Wala talagang originality ilangbang Pinoy lalo na sa fashion world.
The photo was taken from Latin America and its like an icon wearing that same yarn woven hat there. That's their local trademark.
oh, my! it's definitely copied. anne looks gorgeous pa naman here. ano ba, preview? Belat!
esep esep din,,,alangan na mang mag kimono o filipiniana c anne eh nasa peru xa,,yan ang culture dun!all about latin america ang theme nila ngayon,FYI nag shoot din c anne sa brazil..
I admit i bought Mega's September issue, pero 2nd cover un kinuha ko. The other model is Tiiu Kuik and this was ages ago so i guess ginaya/sinotto. Sana nga hindi na lang face ni Anne kundi the whole background w/c is Macchu Picchu, kasi maganda pagkakuha. In the end copycat p din pero Anne is beautiful here,
We have to admit mejo mahirap mag isip ng concept na totally unique at may katagalan nadin ung vogue issue na yun kaya its forgivable plus native hat pa ung ginamit na common in that country where they shot the cover. Whether it is done in good faith or not, isipin nalang natin na baka yun ang pinaka-stunning shot nila of anne.
Just because they used the same hat doesnt mean its already an imitation.
FYI, Peruvian Alpaca Hats are just like our barot sayas, barong tagalogs etc to the Peruvians. They were shooting in Machu Picchu, Peru; a Peruvian Alpaca Hat seemed fitting.
It's an imitation, same hat, same outdoor shoot, mainly same concept talaga sya, wala na bang pwedeng ipakita ng gawang brazil other than that ridiculous hat? The the imitated version is more couture and fashion than Anne's version.....nag mukha syang maputing Indian native ng America.
There's only so much you can do to capture Machu Picchu's spirit than with an aztec hat. It's like shootingi Oslob or Donsol but with a whale shark. Besides, look at the photog's IG account, the original shot was until her waist, this was cropped. C'mon, it's an awesome cover nonetheless.
Ang pinaka-nakakabwisit eh yung todo assume sila na Pinoys are that stupid enough na tipong hindi malalaman na knockoff ito! Haaaaay!
Duh. Yung hat lang ang pareho ok. Yung makeup iba. Yung anggulo ng mukha iba. Kung imitation man ito. Well at least they did better than the "original" na sinasabi nyo. Btw, for sure may "inspiration" din yang vogue LOL
It's a traditional hat, much like having your photo taken in Banaue wearing an Ifugao headgear. There should have been thousands of people who had their photos taken the same way, but we can't say they "imitated."
It is obvious that the one from vogue was not used as a cover. The shoot location was in Machu Picchu. September is the Biggest Fashion and TRAVEL issue for MEGA. Try to grab a copy and you'll understang why they came up with the 2 covers. One in Brazil (high-fashion) and that one in Machu Picchu in Peru. Its obvious that they wanted to channel high fashion and travel spirit.
Imitation.
I was actually the one who sent this image. You know what's fishy? I have been following Michael (Mike) Carandang on IG. After I saw the original picture, I commented on one of his posts asking if the concept behind Anne's shoot was original. I told him I saw the exact picture in that Vogue issue nga. You know what he did? He blocked me right there and then. Wala sagot or anything. I even asked him in a polite way just to give him the benefit of the doubt. He's part of the documentary team kasi. Ang nakakaasar lang, akala mo sobrang gagaling nila at todo claim sila na this is the best issue yet eh jusko front cover pa lang hindi na original concept. Pati background same vibe.
ReplyDeletesiguro you don't get the concept of plagiarizing or copying. Vogue ang ginaya. Ano tayo, puro knockoffs? Kahit Class AA?
DeleteAnne is pretending she doesn't know - or will soon be. HAY!
DeleteIsip isip kaya sila ng bagong cover pag may time!
DeletePag may time lang, ha. Pag meron lang!
Does the Publisher agree to copying concepts from abroad? I guess we should be glad Vogue and W and Harper's Bazaar don't bother complaining or considering lawsuits. Nakakahiya tayo.
DeleteGood job, Fashion Pulis. We have to police our own fashion industry against their own laziness.
That's missing the point. It's a copy.
DeleteAs usual. What new. Gayagaya lng naman tlga sila
ReplyDeleteOk na sana kaso WHAT NEW eh. Hahahahahaha! Baka what's new teh? Hahaha
DeleteBuguk hahahaha. Ng What new? Hahahaha. Baka what's new yun teh? HAhahahahaha
DeleteHUH? WHAT NEW???? San napunta yung "S"???
DeleteWhat's new rin sa mga mejo shong like you
Taghirap sa 'S' Hahahahah!
Deletehahahahahaa daming tawa ko dito aaahh. what new nga naman hahaha
DeleteWhat do you expect??? As in d u h h h
DeleteIMITATION.
ReplyDeletePara sumikat? Ano pa pala tawag mo kay Anne? Laos? Lol! Blame the editors and photographers not the artist!
Mega sisihin mo! Bopis!
DeleteSo this is what people have been saying as the best mag cover this year? WEH! Copy cat! Unoriginal! Shameful! Anne is so drab!
ReplyDeleteBest Cover This Year! MEGA verdion is better!
DeleteImitation. Copycat. Mega should fire the one responsible for this embarrassment!
Deleteit's gorgeous, but it's copied copied copied
Gosh!
ReplyDeletevanity vanity - and a trip to South America!
DeleteKelan b hndi nanggaya ang noypi?
ReplyDeleteExactly! Pinoypride your face!
DeleteSila ha hindi ikaw.
DeleteParang di naman imitation. Yun yung culture nung lugar eh. Parang pag nagbaro't saya pag Pinas ang location.
ReplyDeleteAno daw?
DeleteSame hat, ginaya na ang concept? You guys obviously don't know anything about the fashion industry.
ReplyDeleteDuh. As if people in mega would choose that hat even if they did not see that on vogue.
DeleteAnd you do? Hahahaha! Best joke of the day! You think when people see the two covers they'll accept both are different hook, line and sinker?
DeleteEh di IKAW NA! The best ka pala eh.
DeleteSus, ang hostile! 1:09 AM talo ka na, galit pa!
DeleteStop bashing other posters and make your point.
They are the same concept, just a different angle!
You know nothing.
DeleteKung original pinoy yan, anne would have worn an ifugao headpiece and im sure it would have looked even better!
Deletemy thoughts exactly.
DeleteDun pa rin nila nakuha sa vogue.
ReplyDeleteKahit imitation yan I'd still say Anne's pic is better it has better exposure than the other pic.
ReplyDeleteImitation pa rin.
DeleteSyempre imitation.
ReplyDeleteShould local magazines even bother to come out with an issue every month? Anne looks ridiculously stunning though. Siya na!
ReplyDeleteinspiraion:hindi naman pareho.magkaiba naman ang styling.anne's cover actually looks better..same hat lang naman.its either same designer yong hat or nabibili sya dun mismo sa area na yon ng machu picchu
ReplyDeleteI think they were inspired by the April issue of Paris Vogue. It was in Peru as well.
ReplyDeleteHahahahaha! Mapangopyaaaaaaa
ReplyDeleteVogue pa din ako. :P
Almost the same sya, nakaside view Lang yung isa at medyo subdued ang lighting. Grabe, pumunta punta pa ng brazil! Wala talagang originality ilangbang Pinoy lalo na sa fashion world.
ReplyDeleteThey went to Brazil for a copied cover?
DeleteSwerte silang lahat! Sulit ang pera ng may ari!
ANON 2:52 AM, kelan pa naging Brazil ang Peru?
DeleteGaya. Gaya. Covered ba ng IPR ang mga ganiti? Hmmm. MaGoogle nga. Kasi kumita sila sa ginawa nila and claimed that its an original concept.
ReplyDeleteSAME hat was used. Not exactly the same concept let's be real.
DeleteAnne is the most unoriginal artist in the country. Second to Sarah, of course. OMG, VIVA artists sila ha.
ReplyDeleteINGGIT KAY SARAH....
DeleteAnne's cover is still better than the other model.
ReplyDeleteWhat's the point of a beautiful cover if it is 100% unoriginal?
Ok sure the south american prints are so uso now... but are we really so desperate?
Direct copy.
ReplyDeleteCopycat pinas.
ReplyDeleteWala talagang original sa atin, puro copya.
ReplyDeleteSinotto na naman.
ReplyDeleteHopeless sa Pinas.
ReplyDeleteParang same hat lang naman
ReplyDeleteIMITATION. Pinoy originality and creativity...? Most definitely not.
ReplyDelete#AGAIN. Sabi ko na nga. Its too good to be an original
ReplyDeleteconcept for a Filipino mag. Nacacahiya.
imitation -_-
ReplyDeletecopy cat!
ReplyDeleteThe photo was taken from Latin America and its like an icon wearing that same yarn woven hat there. That's their local trademark.

ReplyDeleteoh, my! it's definitely copied. anne looks gorgeous pa naman here. ano ba, preview?
ReplyDeleteIMITATION! sabi na eh... too good to be an original.
ReplyDeleteSo what's the big deal?! Copy or not, the Mega cover is excellent and better between the two.
ReplyDeleteNakakalungkot naman. Ginaya lang pala..
ReplyDeleteI LOVE ANNE SUPER GANDA NYA DITO SO WHAT KUNG COPY LANG? EH DI WAG BILHIN. MAGALING PA KAYO SA ENTREPS EH
ReplyDeleteANNEDYOSANATICS
anne's cover was better but the hat was obviously copied!
ReplyDeletecopy! shame on mega. and look at anne curtis's face. hahaha. looks so funny
ReplyDeletesuper proud pa naman mga friends ni anne na ito daw ang best cover ever from mega. tapos toinks imitation lang pala from vogue.
ReplyDelete-cassandra
Am a fan of anne curtis! But lately she is everywhere from tv, billboards, ads. Nakaka umay na!! Over exposed na sya!!
ReplyDeletebaka naman common yung indian hat (whatever that is) kaya pag latin america yan ang ginagamit. is that vogue's cover or an inside page?
ReplyDeleteesep esep din,,,alangan na mang mag kimono o filipiniana c anne eh nasa peru xa,,yan ang culture dun!all about latin america ang theme nila ngayon,FYI nag shoot din c anne sa brazil..
