you're obviously uneducated when it comes to food. most recipe's nowadays are from old recipes given a new twist and technology. even celebrated chefs like mario batali, tom colicchio, bobby flay, wolfgang puck. etc based their recipe's on old chef's recipe like julia child, etc. It's called inspiration. When you eat a food that you like, you get inspired to create the same one and you add a little bit of this and a little bit of that and then make it your own "version" not necessarily copying it. YOu improve it, you make it better...

FYI. Maski si Erwan inamin din niya na most of his recipes are taken from the books na nabasa niya. Napanood niyo ba yung interview ni Karen Davila sa kanya noon? Binibigyan lang niya ng "twist" yung mga ilang recipes na nakasanayan natin and I don't think overpriced yung mga ingredients na shine-share niya.

Copyright is correct because that is something that is applied for at the local intellectual property office. Trademark is just something that you use, but not necessarily exclusive to you. Since your "trademark" does not have legal backing, anyone can copy it and you can't sue them.
