Nagkataon lang na sikat na sya talaga dati pa so pag pinagsama ang talent at fame... Eh kabog talaga :) I can't say anything bad about Sarah though, magaling din sya. They're both good. It must be because their voices are being drowned by the screaming and that is what I heard most, the loud screaming in the background. Manood ka ng live show nilang dalawa, upo ka sa harap, Ateng or Koya at tsaka ka mag judge. By the way, both complement one another. I can't wait for them to do a duet of any song done by James Ingram and Patti Austin or James Ingram and Tamia. I hope they do one on The Voice, a standard song.... and by the way, a very close friend who is a vocal coach and a musician here in Canada has all praises for both Sarah and Bamboo. Can't compare. It's a case of complementing each other. Nakakasabay sila sa energy ng bawat isa, ganon din vocal wise. Bagay na bagay ang mga boses....pati na rin visually sa stage. I hope may magawa silang original song and concert na magkasama. Their chemistry is undeniable. Ganitong pairing ang dapat na may number lagi sa ASAP.
So true. I just don't get why people bash SG and give all credits to Bamboo when in fact, they do compliment each other. Check videos of their other duets and perhaps, you'll see that they do have chemistry on stage. Iba ang impact when it's a SG-Bamboo duet. Try to check Bamboo's collab with other female singers and you'll see the difference.
@5:19 I don't think so personally ayoko kay Charice pero yung collab nya with Bamboo sa ASAP is one of the best ever yun ang pakalaglag panga eto okay na collab pero mas nag-shine si Bamboo.
I guess opinions differ. I've seen the Bamboo-Charice duet you were talking about and it was a so-so for me. Bamboo was amazing, no questions asked to that. Charice's performance was okay, malinis naman. But I guess I was looking for "chemistry" which they don't have. Unlike when it's Bamboo and Sarah, lakas ng chemistry on-stage, which is why I think they do compliment each other. I think it's time for producers to give them a concert. Pretty sure it'll be a good one and a definite hit! :)

Ang question, sino ang nagperform ng better sa stage na yan, hindi yung sino ang may mass appeal at napansin. But sige, ang sagot sa insinuation mo eh pantay lang sila. I think that's more of a FACT than what you just said. They complement each other. No one is reaping more benefits than the other. Bamboo is a class act with a mass appeal and that's a FACT. 5 years old pa lang si Sarah...si Bamboo na sya. Sarah, on the other hand, climbed the ladder of success on her own too. Kaya pareho silang malaking performers with not so different audience. Kung napalapit uli sa masa si Bamboo, nadagdagan din ang class ni Sarah. You have to admit that.

reality check, yes sikat si bamboo dati pa pero is it safe to say na nalaos siya for quite some time? and i would say YES.. when he made a band w/c he named it against him mejo nag hit din pero nung nag solo artist siya, he made songs but didn't click well! he made an album but didn't do well in the market.. let's face it, ngaun lang siya napansin ulit ng ganito.. wag puro history, mga historians pala kayo eh!

It's a powerful song hence powerful dapat ang vocals. I don;t think Bamboo was relaxed, he did his part. It was Sarah's concert and he was generous enough to give it to Sarah. I don't like Bamboo and Charice's duet, nawala sila sa isang part ng song...nawala sa tono. Pag may ka duet ka dapat naghaharmonize ang mga boses ninyo...kung kukulot ang boses mo dapat pasok pa din sa second voice ng kaduet mo. Nakalimot don si Charice.
This was the 7th time they performed this song and this is the best so far. To think na they didn't rehearse for this stage because of their busy schedules. I guess it just keeps getting better dahil gamay na nila ang isat isa.

If you will notice, Sarah as a young singer was a great belter. Puro matataas kinakanta. Ngayon ang lagi nyang linya "di mo kailangan tumaas kumanta para maging magaling na singer". I think she learned a lot and improved to play on different genres, di lang pabirit birit.
Why are you saying sorry to the fans? Sarah, herself, admits that she is not a belter. I accept Sarah for who she is as a singer and performer. So why compare in the first place? There are several singers out there who cannot belt, but are amazing singers. You can't judge a singer based on their ability to belt or not.

the only fair comparison is bamboo with ely or bamboo with rico. although personally, i'm a bit biased since i was inlove with bamboo when i was in 4th grade. when his voice was aired in the 90's via ulan and 214, everybody was captivated. from there, he never looked back, of course he went hiatus of 4-5 years but he returned with a bang! Bamboo really has that soothing, calming voice. until now, his voice is so unique, and he performed like nobody else. move like bamboo as we fans call it.
while they've sung this song before, this is the very first time I've actually seen Sarah Geronimo just let go and let herself be enveloped and carried by the music she's singing. Great tandem with Bamboo. It's bringing her music to a new level all together.

ReplyDeleteSo true. I just don't get why people bash SG and give all credits to Bamboo when in fact, they do compliment each other. Check videos of their other duets and perhaps, you'll see that they do have chemistry on stage. Iba ang impact when it's a SG-Bamboo duet. Try to check Bamboo's collab with other female singers and you'll see the difference.

DeleteI guess opinions differ. I've seen the Bamboo-Charice duet you were talking about and it was a so-so for me. Bamboo was amazing, no questions asked to that. Charice's performance was okay, malinis naman. But I guess I was looking for "chemistry" which they don't have. Unlike when it's Bamboo and Sarah, lakas ng chemistry on-stage, which is why I think they do compliment each other. I think it's time for producers to give them a concert. Pretty sure it'll be a good one and a definite hit! :)

ReplyDeleteAng question, sino ang nagperform ng better sa stage na yan, hindi yung sino ang may mass appeal at napansin. But sige, ang sagot sa insinuation mo eh pantay lang sila. I think that's more of a FACT than what you just said. They complement each other. No one is reaping more benefits than the other. Bamboo is a class act with a mass appeal and that's a FACT. 5 years old pa lang si Sarah...si Bamboo na sya. Sarah, on the other hand, climbed the ladder of success on her own too. Kaya pareho silang malaking performers with not so different audience. Kung napalapit uli sa masa si Bamboo, nadagdagan din ang class ni Sarah. You have to admit that.

I was like.. super perfect clang 2! their voice and their chemistry on stage was awesome i think that day they were trending worldwide.. then came this Just give me a reason duet,waaah! ganun pa rin..wow! chemisty is really undeniable..pansin ko lng, lahat ata ng mapapartner kay sarah may kilig, kahit link lang..hahaha.. i asked my mom bat ganun lahat ng papartner kay sarah prang theres chemistry, my mom answered "coz of sarah's personality ,wholesome and sweet image, khit nga kay martin nievera may chemistry cla" hahaha.. i was like "ma sarah g fan ka ba?"..ndi ko na tinanong mama ko kc alam ko na ang sagot nya..hehehe

Point is maybe wala ng dapat patunayan si Bamboo because he has transcend generations and social strata that not even Ely Buendia was able to do sa totoo lang.

DeleteIt's a powerful song hence powerful dapat ang vocals. I don;t think Bamboo was relaxed, he did his part. It was Sarah's concert and he was generous enough to give it to Sarah. I don't like Bamboo and Charice's duet, nawala sila sa isang part ng song...nawala sa tono. Pag may ka duet ka dapat naghaharmonize ang mga boses ninyo...kung kukulot ang boses mo dapat pasok pa din sa second voice ng kaduet mo. Nakalimot don si Charice.

DeleteThis was the 7th time they performed this song and this is the best so far. To think na they didn't rehearse for this stage because of their busy schedules. I guess it just keeps getting better dahil gamay na nila ang isat isa.

DeleteIf you will notice, Sarah as a young singer was a great belter. Puro matataas kinakanta. Ngayon ang lagi nyang linya "di mo kailangan tumaas kumanta para maging magaling na singer". I think she learned a lot and improved to play on different genres, di lang pabirit birit.

There are several singers out there who cannot belt, but are amazing singers. You can't judge a singer based on their ability to belt or not.

Winner po iyan sa singing contest kay regine V sa GMA kaya proof na magaling sya. ReplyDeletethe only fair comparison is bamboo with ely or bamboo with rico. although personally, i'm a bit biased since i was inlove with bamboo when i was in 4th grade. when his voice was aired in the 90's via ulan and 214, everybody was captivated. from there, he never looked back, of course he went hiatus of 4-5 years but he returned with a bang! Bamboo really has that soothing, calming voice. until now, his voice is so unique, and he performed like nobody else. move like bamboo as we fans call it.

In this video,mas magaling si Bamboo hands down I guess it goes with the territory na magaling si Bamboo dahil mas experienced at may sariling vocal style na hindi mash up lang ng mga diva sa hollywood. I do not think that her minions should feel bad na he's better than her dahil ibig sabihin may room pa for improvement. Si Bamboo magaling kahit kanino mo isama I've seen videos ng duet nya with Yeng and Charice awesomeness ang lolo!
