actually agree ako sa iyo anon 12:12. sa dami ng pera nya, puwede shang mag gym araw-araw (with one day rest of course). plus, nagkalat pa ang mga non-invasive treatments para pumayat. my gosh, if i were in her shoes, i will use my money to look good and to feel good. i believe it all boils down to self-control and discipline sa pagkain. yun ang wala sha and sadly, hindi yun nabibili ng pera.
She always carry a beatiful hair cut, matches her all these years. And she maintained a glowing and beautiful skin. She Is one of the matalino in our actresses. Very articulate.
So what if she's big.. She doesn't need to prove anything to anybody! She is already written in Phil showbiz history, she has the most number of box office movies.. Sold out concerts.. Multi awarded albums.. Nothing else to prove really.. She's just enjoying the fruits of her labour. But she should stay healthy.. Not anorexic skinny.. God Bless her!

I am just guessing here --- looking at her pictures she probably took steroids due to severe medical reasons. Her weight ballooned in the mid 2000s when she was diagnosed with cancer.

oo nga, nabagayan na nga siya (no hint of sarcasm whatso). i mean, hindi lahat ay magi-stay na payat once middle age is reached. at least siya, kahit sabihin na laging naka-black pants/slacks kahit formal occassions, hindi siya pilit magsu-suot ng something na hindi na appropriate sa katawan at edad niya. e yung iba, tvh na to keep up with the young uns, kahit na medyo payat sila. as long as healthy siya, yung hindi kailangan mag-take ng medication for high blood pressure or high levels of cholesterol, then she's fine. ang bawasan na lang niya ay yung trying to be cute and bungisngis much. iyon ang hindi na bagay sa kanya.

Maybe she likes her current size. It really depends on what she perceives. There really are people who like themselves round, there are some who are thin and consider themselves unhealthy with that size. Why do we discriminate anybody based on size? If they accept themselves, then we should just keep our negative opinions to ourselves.
It seems she's happy with her life, anyway. She has mansions, travels with bodyguards, is happily married to a senator, has a daughter who is independent, and have two more lovely children she's raising - she's able to provide for her mother, able to afford luxuries for herself - really now, wouldn't anybody want what she has? Now what if these were offered to you with the condition that you have to be happy with your body size, wouldn't you take it?
Just because she's round, it doesn't necessarily translate to being unhealthy. Just like being thin isn't a sign of being healthy.
What's unhealthy is how it is so easy for us to nitpick on the lives of others. Her size, isn't our problem. But our attitudes, that's our problem.
Its so hard to be Filipino, because it seems we will never be happy. We will always find flaws, and escalate them and blow them out of proportion. Most of the people who seem to be seething with hate posting negativity here, you guys are not perfect, and chances are you are unhappy with some aspects of your life, so you end up taking it out on others. Wouldn't it be healthier perhaps to channel the negative energy to something positive instead?
size discrimination is absolutely wrong, but to say that being huge does not necessarily mean unhealthy is just hilarious. sheer nonsense! all your organs work several times harder just to deal with the weight. pinapahirapan mo nang husto ang sarili mo. so what if na kay sharon na ang lahat (which is debatable)? all that won't save her from the myriad diseases that come sooner or later with being overweight. dapat nga mas lalo pa niyang ingatan ang health niya dahil she has a lot to live for...
